Some of the stuff Treehouse has shown off is new so far, like the Metroid 2 remake and Superstar Saga remake.

They formally announced two games for the 3DS, remake of Metroid 2 and remake of Mario and Luigi 1. I doubt they'll announce a landmark title like Animal Crossing Switch during the regular stream.

Your not wrong. Treehouse Live is mostly showing off games already announced or games that just got announce on the Spotlight, but they already prove that they're also showing new games like Metroid: Samus Returns and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga & Bowser's Minion. So they most likely still got something up their sleeves.
I'm certain they have Animal Crossing for Switch in the works, but wasn't ready for announcement for E3. Most likely will be shown in a future Nintendo Direct.
