This project was supposed to be this sort of incomparably massive title, being an action rpg and basically ripping concepts from an already familiar and established game, it feels like a joke

They only showed a dam, some beast in a jungle and a mech suit... I don't understand all this premature negativity. Let's wait until tomorrow to see what it really is.

There isn't even enough information out about it to say any of that, what the hell are you on
I don't really see all the hate for anthem, They ditched Mass Effect for it yes but who cares if anyone is even there from day one of mass effect I bet they'd be fed up if they had to keep doing mass effect.
Also I got some nice Evolve, Destiny and Titanfall vibes and the titan fall dev's did say they were helping with a star wars project and some unnamed stuff so fingers crossed.
"Ditched Mass Effect", they finished their trilogy, they wanted to make something else.
And I finally caught up, and as for someone who isn't interested in Star Wars I found this year's EA play to be the driest, emptiest, and sportiest of them all yet, I thought nothing could top last year's, but it seems like EA wants to prove me wrong.

Agreed. I will be absolutely amazed if anyone manages to do worse than they did this year.

and the titanfall devs aren't just "helping" with a star wars project, they're making one themselves

I have a feeling people only trashtalk Anthem out of spite for bioware, not because anything they've shown about the project (all 60 seconds of it) is intrinsically bad.
I'd say wait for the gameplay reveal at microsoft's conference but people will probably just already be biased towards hating the game before anything concrete is shown.

they HAVE to show something new. quake champions is the only zenimax published game that has been announced but not released.
they would not make a big conference just to peddle games that are already available for sale.

Probably they should held E3 like,only once every 4 years, and extend the expo time for maybe 1 week, and include small game developers in short presentations. Big game developers mostly will only make generic games.
Ubisoft loses this year purely because they fucking gave Assasins Creed the subtitle Origins.

Quite frankly people are going to be more nitpicky towards it even after gameplay is shown because of its pedigree. Hopefully there's actual substantial gameplay unlike their world premiere of Andromeda which was a guy in a space suit jumping for 5 minutes.
