I don't understand why someone like Geoff would publicly reveal the final price of a console moments before its announced, Geoff isn't one for leaking stuff like this right? I'm convinced there's more to it

I think Sony didn't really like having to release the PSVR, PS4 Pro and Slim at nearly the same time so I guess I take that has Sony not being onboard with second gen consoles for the PS5

I'm pretty sure that precedent is set after XBone and PS4, and was well on it's way with the Xbox 360/PS3.

So don't. There's nothing forcing you to get a new one. Are you the kind of person who buys a new iPhone every year? I'd rather know my current games will still work if I decide to upgrade in 5 or so years.

to be fair this is the leap for 4k TVs, the PS4 Pro can make some games play nicer but not all and it's really more of a novelty than an upgrade
