Far Cry 5 - Shoot Dirty Cultish Hipsters in Montana with guns and stuff

After playing for a few hours last night, the setting feels disturbingly familiar to me. I know that's kind of what Ubisoft was going for setting the game in the United States, but since I live pretty close to Montana and could drive an hour out of town and be in the exact same type of environment as the game, it really drives the feeling of being disturbingly familiar home.
Backspacing? Works for me on iPhone.
Why the fuck do they give you the truck so early on? Like, it's absurd.
I'm thoroughly impressed impressed with how well this game is optimized. I wish more were like this. It's been a while since I've been able to truly max out a game (minus render scaling) with constant 60+ FPS. And what's even sadder is that those games tend to be less graphically impressive than FC5.
^^ignore this quote. I can't delete it.^^
This game is pretty hard. I even bumped it down to easy mode and I'm still taking a beating. Enemies spawn really frequently too. Kind of annoying. I still really enjoy exploring this place though. Kind of reminds me of Breath of the Wild with how much freedom you have.
Mind to share your rig information?
I am interested in getting FC5,but i am afraid my dear I5 6300HQ + GT950m might not be enough to get 30fps at medium settings (1366x768 resolution due to monitor)
Sure! I got a beefier rig but I think you should be fine on med-high or med. I'll just copy and past the most important parts from the post your specs thread.
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k @ 4.00GHz
GPU: MSI GAMING GTX 980 4G
RAM: G.SKILL TridentX Series (4 x 8GB) DDR3 2133
The implications from the scientist quest chain are all sorts of fucked up, like, Mars unfreezing and an ancient civilization waking up to genuinely wage war while we're fighting over a cult
Thank you
Can i say that i really hate the capture groups? Wish there was a way to avoid them better.
I'm not sure if you're talking about a different part of the game, but from what I've experienced from them so far they're basically scripted to capture you no matter what. As long as you take damage once you're "marked" you get drugged and captured.
I didn't even get shot during that section
The opening of this game was the fastest of any FC game to date, and was in my opinion, a little too easy compared to FC3 or FC4's linear 15 minute section into the game. This barely had any of that.
Throwing an inventory of shovels at peggies never gets old
Hands down this is my favourite Far Cry and i'll argue that its better than 3 and 4 gameplay wise.
I adore this map so much already and im only 3 RP levels towards John
Well, managed to buy it, install it, and beat it within my lunch break. I guess I'll go for a different ending now, though I hear the others are a lot more involved.
I had just liberated an outpost, was in a room with no windows with allies and guards outside. Suddenly my character falls on their face. Must be ninjas
I'm sorry but there's no way that 'you didn't even get shot'
The only way I got through that section (on hard) was just timing the medkit usage at the right time to get past that first 3/4 of the section, the last 1/4 is easy.

I'd love to see a recording of you not taking any shots, unless you play on Easy, because there were times I was being shot through the back of the truck
Lol I told my friend how followers remain stealthy if you remain undetected. Her response was that she read an article thatthe bear doesn't. Like no shit its a fucking bear.
Did anyone not get their doomsday prepper stuff? I pre-ordered on GMG and made sure to claim it, but I cant find them in the shops and customization. The deluxe edition stuff is there though, just not the pre-order stuff.
Do I have to find them in the game world, or did GMG fuck up?
Did... did a duck just blow up my fucking plane?
Screen capture
You managed to beat the game that requires multiple 5-10 minute quests inbetween resistance levels as well as doing boss battles in a lunch break?
I died in that car chase about 4 times on hard but just about pulled it off, just before that though I was using the truck as cover, Marshall then started it up and ran me over.
I'm playing the whole thing with Moose (Facepunch) but he's run into this bug where his screen and audio is permanently like he's injured but only when he's in my game. When he plays solo it goes. We can't work out a fix, anyone else run into this and fixed it?
Jesus Christ the friendly AI is just fucking useless
Hey, if ducks can bring down jets from time to time, I can forgive the prop plane getting destroyed
How fucking long is your lunch break?
hes talking about the joke ending at the beginning guys
Oh that section. I never died doing it on hard but I did get shot during that section.
I thought they were talking about the section before that on foot IIRC.
So, heads up: If you bought this on PC and have an AMD Phenom processor, the game won't let you run it. As far as I've been able to tell, it has something to do with the version of Denuvo it comes with. I could be wrong, but I'm hoping Ubisoft issues a statement soon. I didn't preorder this game just to get a refund on day one because of the fucking DRM.
(and before anyone suggests buying a new CPU, I'd fucking love to, but I'd have to buy a new mobo first, and if I'm doing that I may as well just buy a whole new PC, and I don't have a spare 1000 bucks on hand to do that, y'know?)
I had a lot of fun before work playing random Arcade maps. I'm really happy with the creative stuff i've seen so far, especially the ones published by ubisoft themselves are really fun. Got to level 8 in arcade in about half an hour playing random maps for double points.
Now that i've just realized that its far funnier than it should be
