Far Cry 5 - Shoot Dirty Cultish Hipsters in Montana with guns and stuff

I was avoiding her as well, but I did such a good job for so long that the game simply hijacked me suddenly and started the sequence. I didn't talk to anyone or anything, it just decided to do it without prompt.
I got that too. Was not expecting that to happen when I tried to do the same.
Man, now instead of redacted CIA documents, spoiler heavy threads just make me feel like I need glasses.
Kinda wish they didn't die in cutscenes
i wanted to bash John's head in with a spade
I just realized the special guns for hire interact with each other during missions. I had Jess Black talking with Hurk during the drive in his first mission.
Jess and Grace get along great when you have them. And Jess likes my pussy, as she is often one to say when I have Peaches with me.
So I'm enjoying the game but wild animals take so many bullets it makes me feel like I'm playing Stalker
Like, I can buy a lot of the sillyness, but Faith is just fucking magic. like, beyond magic, no amount of hallucinations can justify her controlling what every single person sees in her region,
So does this game still have the dynamic fire system from previous games? That was my favorite part about FC2 and the main reason I prefer it to FC3 and 4, which seemed to tone it down a bit. At least FC3 did anyway, it was pretty good in FC4.
Since this game takes place in a dryer environment it'd make sense for them to bring it back to its full glory as it was in FC2.
i cant recall if its as big as FC2's system was, but its there.
Things still burn, but it only ever seems to spread out in a small radius before burning itself out right there.
That's a bug

I'm not too far into it, but the story really isn't grabbing me, and I also don't really feel the urge to explore outside of doing side missions. At least the gun play is pretty fun, and I appreciate a lot of the new additions like the radio stations and the character customization. That's all pretty cool
Is there a way to roam the map with no militia and just yourself and the wildlife and a few bumpkins? I'd love to show my girlfriend how beautiful the environment is but she wouldn't enjoy bandits every 30 seconds.
I have only played 1 hours so far so sorry if this is an easy question.
The spawn rate and hostility really is ridiculous here, so your best bet is to take out outposts, there's specific ones that actually reduce vehicle patrols in a region.
Vaas will always be my favorite antagonist
havent spent money on steam in a long time and boy was i glad i tried fc5
holy hell the performance is surprisingly good

Nevermind, I don't know what was different about this case, but a flamethrower cultist managed to set this off.

i feel like shit de-spawns way too quickly. kill something, walk a few feet in the other direction and walk back and its already gone.
The game has straight up removed a prisoner van that I killed the driver out of when I turned around to kill a free-roaming cultist. This game has some serious short term memory issues.
I like being able to have some pleb drive me around instead of me having to do it all the god damn time
If you haven't fixed it already, download the newest drivers.

The AI are definitely suited for accompanying you in this game
Loving the game so far.
Few issues that are stopping progress for me, I play on PC hooked up to a TV using an Xbox One Controller.
The controls are not correctly mapped and I cannot change them, the game has options for D-Pad but they don't do anything. There is no reverse for cars / trucks / atvs and there is no descend button for helicopters.
Once I'm up high, that's its, I either need to parachute or wingsuit back down.
Having no D-Pad is a pain in the ass, cannot control hired help or dog etc so stealth is impossible. Even going into the Settings and viewing the controller layout (which you cannot change!) it says "Reverse" or "Descend" etc and its blank.
I maintain what I previously said, having completed the story fully. The story is awful and makes no sense at the best of times, and at worst is flaccid and uninspired and despite gaping plot holes and events that have no precedence or relevance to events that otherwise take place, is still somehow highly predictable. But most of the characters are fun and interesting in their own ways and enjoyable to be around. The gameplay is highly entertaining and gives you a lot of options and things to do. Character progression is at its best, feeling like you're actually developing a character throughout your run instead of simply powering up over time. The world is absolutely gorgeous and its hard to avoid getting lost and distracted just exploring it and taking in the environments and locations. And the story is so bad it needs to be mentioned again because it just gets progressively worse as it goes along, relying on dumb tricks that do nothing rewarding and just make the story tedious, and at points the appallingly bad directions it heads are actively angering and just make the experience hard to continue despite everything else being great. It ultimately leads up to an ending that could be seen coming from early on yet aside from a few characters pointing it out, has nothing to actually do with the plot and just happens. And the events leading up to the dramatic conclusion are dumb anyway because they make no sense and would literally never occur. The people who did the main story had to be radically different from the ones who did the character and world story, and virtually never spoke to each other to create such radically different results. And either they got fired and someone stepped in at the last moment to make a quick ending, or else everyone else wasn't paying attention when they made the ending and before anyone could stop it, it was done and they had to push it through.
No seriously, getting fucking captured constantly while you're just trying to complete side missions and level up was atrociously stupid design and made no sense. I'm in the middle of a town of well armed allies with a pissed off punk bitch who would sooner light a cultist on fire than let them touch me, let alone capture me. And I've got a fucking bear aligned with me as well. So how the fuck do I keep getting drug off for these random, long-winded monologues that do little to the move the plot forward in most cases. Why do none of my allies come looking for me after I have been captured at any point? And how the fuck at the end were all these characters captured? All who were all in well secured areas surrounded by allies and well armed themselves, and with the cult at its weakest point since the reaping began, and they have apparently been flash brainwashed despite the two people who handled that shit being corpses.
Why does choosing to arrest Joseph Seed somehow prompt nuclear fucking armageddon? Aside from a couple of characters making obvious references to Trump, we get literally no information within the story about the world actually being on the brink of nuclear war. We get no talk of possible missile launches or tensions and clashes with some country or whatever. Its not a contemplative or downer ending where you've accomplished your goal and things should be alright but you've suffered losses in the end. "Ohh, that lovable companion character sacrificed themself so you could beat the bad guy." "Ohh, you did it but now a bunch of people hate you because you had to disrupt their lives to do it." "Ohh, the reason you were fighting for was all a lie and the real enemy was pretending to be your ally the whole time." They're cliched as fuck but at least they work. Instead we get, "Its all meaningless, everything is gone, and you're (maybe literally) fucked." Hey, how about the Rye's and their new daughter? Ohh, they're fucking ash, great little moment that had been. All the other officers you saved? Yeah, despite surviving worse shit through the story they all died because you hit a fallen tree, even though they all managed just fine after a fucking helicopter helicopter crash. Dutch, the crazy prepper? I guess he fell over or something or just chose to not shoot Joseph Seed the moment he came in to eyesight and now he's dead. This isn't Farcry 4 where you've stopped the bad guy but now someone new is stepping in to his shoes. Nah, everyone is just dead. You're trapped with a psychotic cultist who hates you. The world is gone.
I've never seen a DBS with a reflex sight until now
also
"WHAT IF YOU LEFT HIM ALONE X/XDXDDDDDDDDDXXXXD"
Like christ that only works in the context of 2 and 4 where you literally decided to go to said places and you had a choice of wether or not to be there
in 5 you're a cop, its your fucking job, what is the logic the game is trying to push
"Oh it would have been better if you let the doomsday cult continue murdering people because that way hurrrrr less people ded ig uessxddxddd
Honestly I'm wondering wether this is canon or not
I mean Far Cry is slapped all over the game and NPCs refer to it, one ending is a literal nukeso hopefully we can pull this back
