Oh weird, maybe that's why the weapon selection seems so small, there's a bunch of hidden weapons that you can't normally buy?

i grabbed the launcher up there and didn’t even actually notice it was different. according to IMFDB, the RPG in FC5 is based off a real American made RPG.

So I went and looked at that RPG itself. It's not even the same model from Far Cry 4, it has a different front sight and some texture differences. They missed the opportunity to add your police buddies (the two other deputies and the sheriff) to your roster after rescuing and have them as companions, really.

Despite this game being kinda janky I think this is one of my favoeite games to date. The changes through me for a loop at first but I really enjoy just wandering around Hope County. It reminds of Breath of the Wild in a way.

Great. I can't finish the fishing side missions because the whole thing was designed for controllers and it's impossible to catch fishes higher than easy with the mouse. Good job you retards.

I've caught both Ragnar and The Admiral and I've played the entire game with the mouse.

I'm finding it hard to aim at all... I used to be good at fps games, well I thought I was back in the day now i'm getting older I can't shoot for shit lol, I just can't get comfy at my desk anymore and it annoys the shit out of me, just liberating a gas station outpost and my aiming is just terrible

Yeah the fishing is pretty easy (albeit confusing at first) regardless of mouse or gamepad. Moving the mouse is fighting it not reeling it, fight it for a while, and hold the reel while the fish isn't struggling too much. If your fishing line is going orange/red stop for a moment and let it refresh to green before fighting and reeling it again.

Am I missing out on much from skipping Far Cry 4 and just playing 5? I've completed FC3+BD, just not 4.

The games are pretty much standalone plotwise other than a few nods and references from the past games, you can hop in safely to 5

Do the weapons change how they're pointed when you change the crosshair? Everything feels a little closer to the bottom of the screen compared to previous games imo

Ending spoilersss At first i was really upset with the 'nuclear' ending but after realising it wasn't Joseph setting of the nukes but actually being right about everything I'm kinda digging it and really appriciating it

They actually do, even the description on the 'offset' setting mentions that it lowers the crosshair and view model to effectively show more of the screen. You can compare it in-game by changing it when paused. The crosshair doesn't actually move, it's more like the screen shifts a bit upwards when the crosshair is set to offset, and shifts back downwards when it's centered.

I hope they add more clothing options in the future. specifically gloves. The Rainbow Six stuff looks cool, but I don't have that game, so I can't use it. I don't want to buy a whole game just so I can look cool in Far Cry.

They're definitely planning on adding more prestige clothing later on, have too.

Personally I feel like the sidearm takedown sucks in FC5, it just happens when you right click and fire and then it immediately transitions into your actual gun and you unload an extra few bullets because nothing stops you. At least in 3 and 4 you would pull THEIR sidearm (it was meant as an option for going loud) unload however many shots and then you would throw the gun away in an animation.

I actually got that outfit purely because I had the game installed for like an hour during a free weekend (the same trick worked with an R6 outfit in The Division too) But if you ask me, the one jn FC5 is more 80s-action-movie goofy than cool, I prefer the militia and similar outfits

I died twice because flying through the first set of flames actually has a very slightly larger hitbox near the top so it kept thinking I was slamming into the bridge.
