Im still on the first Seed member and I decided to bite and read the ending because of how had you guys are talking about it and Jesus Christ i don't mind a story that doesn't pay off. But I can't stand stories that actively tell you you wasted your time unless it was a theme in the story.. it feels like a cheap iit feels like a chea copout for a downer ending. I might just wait until taking on Joseph is all I have left to do and leave it. I just finished the game. Holy shit what a terrible ending. So after I dismantle the Seeds' entire operation they somehow have the manpower and resources to silently and instantly kidnap and mindfuck ALL of my allies, two of whom were on the helicopter I landed at Jacob's estate, and bring them all to the estate without me noticing. Then we have a dumb Bliss-addled game of "who can revive people the fastest". Maybe the zombie DLC is a direct consequence of the nukes, since the Vietnam and Mars ones seem to be connected to the main game too.

I know we've been griping about the ending since launch day, but I've gotta put my redundant 2 cents in. I can buy the nukes. We get hints at shit being very very wrong with the world when talking to people from outside Hope County, so it's easy enough for me to rationalize it as Joseph being right the same way a broken clock will tell you the correct time twice a day. He kept shouting about righteous hellfire until someone else went and did it. Fuck the last-second brainwashing bullshit though, or wounded irradiated Joseph somehow managing to kill bunker-bro like the inexplicably invincible antagonist he is. What was the point of killing off 10,000,000,000,001 Peggies if they can still operate at full efficiency with like 3 people and their senile leader?

Bought it and played a bit with my buddy. Definitely a really really good co-op game. Little bit of jank and bugginess here and there, at least in co-op (I haven't really done single player past the tutorial), but it's usually small issues that aren't a problem for actual gameplay. I hate to bring up the weapons fucking again, but... like, why are over half of them fucking reskins? It doesn't help that every weapon of a certain type is indistinguishable. They have """Stat differences""" but the second bow doesn't feel any different. Also... the fuck is up with the snipers? They have that one regular bolt action that's just mediocre and doesn't really have a purpose, then bam suddenly anti material rifles are the third unlocked thing. Seriously?

Some of the design decisions for this game absolutely boggle my mind. Like what were you guys thinking? cmon.

Welp, I finally caught the Admiral. I decided to catch all the hard fish first so I could get the Old Betsy rod, and after that, it was really easy to catch him. I felt like Little Mac working my way up to Mike Tyson. I am now a master fisherman.

Oddly, my biggest complaint with the game so far is also an incredibly minor one: Why on earth doesn't this game have any weather? Unless I'm mistaken, it's partly cloudy 100% of the time, save for when it clears up at night. No thunderstorms, no completely clear days, no overcast...it's just odd. Makes the world feel strangely static. Also, am I doing something wrong or do sniper scopes barely zoom in?

Ignore the quote above, blame newpunch for being shit Anyway, I got around 27 or so hours in total from my first playthrough. It was a lot of fun but now there's kinda nothing to do and I have no motivation to play again without a NG plus. Arcade is just deathmatch on a bunch of shitty maps right now so thats not very fun.

When I bought the big scope for the Lynx(SA50 I think it's called in game), it seemed like a waste of money since it didn't have a much better zoom than the default scope. I don't know if it's any different for the AR sniper and the .308 bolt action though.
