Far Cry 5 - Shoot Dirty Cultish Hipsters in Montana with guns and stuff

Killing enough innocent civilians within a short period of time causes the game to instakill you.
Why tho
Your heart just can't take it
It's either me or these turkeys, and you better believe i'm bringing the flame roast if they're gonna eat my face off.
It’s the difference between acceptable collateral damage and being able to straight up murder the folks you’re trying to protect.
It’d be annoying as hell if civvies where right next to Peggies (as they often are on the road) and you’re trying to shoot and all of the sudden your gun stops working right when you need it to.

Towing the trailers works.
Picking them up with the flatbed goes quite poorly though...
If you want Grace's AR-CL, just arrange an accident so she drops her rifle, you can take it to the store and customize it, the paintjob will stay.
The regular version can switch firemodes.
Same. splitting the thread up is such a fuckin dumb idea

I fucking hate this no thumbnail bullshit its so fucking terrible.
ending spoilers
seriously that's the ending? I mean i understand they wanted to go with a dynamic similar to Far Cry 4's but this just sucks. How the hell am i supposed to, as a player just walk away as several atrocities are committed at the beginning of the game? Why the hell would i chicken out? The game beats you in the face for liberating and dismantling an organization that condones brainwashing, animal abuse, murder, the list goes on forever. Why wouldn't i arrest joseph? The game's commentary is so nonsensical and could just as easily be passed off as a Bliss Hallucination. How the hell does he capture every single one of my friends without me hearing about it? Is the game trying to tell me God exists or something?
There are so many stupid things about this ending that it undoes all of the good will i had from Far Cry 4's ending. It worked there because you genuinely were working for awful people, nobody was right in the situation but your involvement ended alot of lives. It's similar to this case but what am i supposed to do in a situation like that? The doomsday godfearing commentary and the fact that joseph just knows the world is ending is fucking stupid. Am i seriously expected to hold my suspension of disbelief there?
Don't even get me started on the nukes, i understand that the nukes are supposedly conflict between the US and North Korea but even that is handled so fucking poorly because the only place that you can learn this information is so easy to miss and it's put right at the start of the game that it's just as easy to forget.
In nearly every ending it's a shitty situation. One end is that you literally shrug your shoulders as people are kidnapped and brainraped, Another is that you murder everyone you've worked so hard to save and you let Joseph continue to run his cult. The final one is all out nuclear war supposedly because joseph is some prophet. You are left unsatisfied in every ending.
At the end of Far Cry 4 i was satisfied because i could accept that the alternate situations would be far far worse than what pagan was offering and i even let him go out of respect for the fact that he was a defeated man as far as it went. I accepted that the alternate ending at the start was the best ending. This isn't the case with Far Cry 5, where walking away is a completely stupid idea and you are punished for the opposite by the game.
still a good game though, had fun
i rate it a cheeseburger outta hurk
You took the words right out of my mouth
I enjoyed both endings but I enjoy Bleak outcomes.
I don't mind them myself but the endings don't feel logical either and that's what bothers me the most about it. It relies on your character being an idiot for it to work
The only way I could see them explaining the terrible ending away is if
the whole thing following Joseph dumping out the Bliss barrels was just a hallucination
Ending comments -
They really need to fix the walk away ending at the beginning. Like they NEED to show the National Guard showing up and completely kicking ass.
With the 2 final endings, one point was that if you walk away theres no point cuz the nukes are coming anyway or something like that. I think both of the endings suck and just leave a sour taste in my mouth.
I like how if you shoot Joseph(or any of the other Deputies) during the final drive, the game automatically kills you.
I played through the entire game not knowing there was a camera/binoculars.
I miss it being a camera : (
Same, I thought the target marking via the iron sights was just wonky.
I had it aim marking turned off in the options tho
Is there even a difference between the supressors?
I figured the nukes came from the bunkers each boss is in. The missiles are missing, and there are 3 bunkers and 3 explosions.
The cult has noting to do with the NukesAtTheEnd, someone takes note that the silos are empty. Hudson in Jacob's bunker. If the nukes did go off Hope County would have likely been wiped. Plus, the radio takes note that nukes were a possibility and Montana while not a huge target could possibly been hit.
From what someone described, the nukes go off in emphasis Josephs rant and that's something that irks me more than it should, like he predicted the exact moment each bomb would go off
I discovered this inspired map concept from an Assault mission last night. The creator definately would benefit from polishing it, but it's worth playing through.
"Downfalls"
Are there any good racing/vehicle combat maps yet?
So... what causes vehicles to fluctuate from "Fucking Invincible" To "Explodes for no reason"?
Shit thats not a bad idea, might make a derby map myself
I tried making a car chase sorta map, but it’s pretty difficult to get the AI to get in a car, never the less follow you smoothly on anything that isn’t flat lands..
Agreed. I tried to get the alarm wave of an Outpost map to use helicopters, but it was essentially a coin flip whether they'd get into them.
Also, there's a "Arrives In Vehicle" function that I can only assume means a car spawns where you place the wave units, and they approach that way? It's very confusing.
Just finished the game with theresist ending. Man that was kinda dumb and bleak as fuck. I wished that atleast all of the good guys got into the bunker with Joseph, but whatever. Also would've prefered to shoot the guy in his smug face in the end.
Are there any nice things that unlock after the story? New side missions or anything?
