Far Cry 5 - Shoot Dirty Cultish Hipsters in Montana with guns and stuff

I know you can jump kick people if you melee in midair, but I've never seen a dropkick animation.
That's a shame cause dropkicks are the best. They made Dying Light worth playing.

Imagine doing that shit to cultists, I'd never fire a gun again
[sp]how many times do these assholes capture you and just let you go? it's really fucking dumb and makes them feel like scooby doo villians [/sp]
About 9 times more or less.
Here Funk, I made this map just because of you.
"The Caldera Compound"
I guess the idea is that Joseph wants to prove he's right by converting the person who opposes him most, so he forbids his siblings from straight killing you.
I didn't know about throwing rocks or the binoculars until I was about 60-75% into the game.
You can use control zones and assign it to enemies far away and next to a vehicle, and they will enter it once they spawn. Not sure about actually chasing the player though, it might work.
Yeah, a game where you can just outright go for bosses but with massively increased difficulty, should you do so without first weakening them, it would be a nice thing to have, if you can't be fucked with the story and think you can take on like 100+ people not long after having started the game, go for it, I mean you could have Mortars and Snipers for when you're at a range, Mortars being behind walls so they're not easy to take out, when you do come out of cover to avoid them, the snipers take shots at you, when you try and get closer, trucks could come out and start shooting at you, flamethrower and m60 guys could do the same shit, just fucking unload the enemies on you if you try to take down a boss before it's advised to do so.
But no, "player choice" isn't really that at all.
They could have made the story so much more bearable. The voice talent feels wasted; Whitehorse, Pratt and Hudson all have great voice acting imo
Question about Jacob and the Whitetail Militia:
If I go to the Wolf's Den after being captured a couple times, am I gonna freak out and kill everyone in there?
It's tied to shit with "resistance points"
Get it to the last one, see how that pans out.
Has anyone had constant Bookworm disconnections
So at some point in a car I hear in the radio that [sp]Moscow was bombed and millions have died.[/sp].
What the fuck is going on in the world of Far Cry 5? I just assumed that everything outside of Hope County is "real life".
I mean shit, if [sp]Russia is getting nuked[/sp] maybe Joseph thinking the world is ending soon isn't so out there, I guess that's what they mean when the Seed talk about "watching the news".
Hurk is straight up retarded. Like, his AI is not built for handling a rocket launcher at all.
If you give him a distant target, like a roadblock or a plane, he'll decide he'll need to move to take the shot no matter how clear it is and take forever to actually fire the fucking rocket.
If he actually is in a cluttered area, he has a strong tendency to blow himself the fuck up.
Just now he blew up Jess, revived her, then immediately attempt another shot at the roadblock I told him to destroy only to fire point blank at a tree and blow her and himself up. He also took a shot at a hostage truck when I already shot out the driver, knocking me out and killing the hostages inside. Then he said "Oops, sorry. Not really though, haha!" and I'm not sure if it was a generic enemy kill line that happened to sound like an unapologetic friendly fire line but he caught a bullet in the face for that one regardless. Why add friendlies with rocket launchers if they can't handle them at all?
Thing is imo, he isn't a prophet that's predicting the end of the world, he's a megalomaniac wanting to be the leader of a new world when the world that's obviously under high tension and doesn't need divine power to predict is going to end badly does end, and he hides it under the guise of "I'm actually saving you!"
In fact Jacob himself uses the most common sense out of everyone else, he's a veteran, he knows what's going on, that's why he's building an army, and why he has that "Strongest will survive" attitude. Johns too caught up in the actual religion and Faith is blindly obedient to Joseph to care about it, Joseph himself is a psychopath thinking he's the second coming of Christ because he read the news.
The fact that the game treats him as if he was right morally down to the nuke explosion emphasis during his rant makes it all the more infuriating.

I'm still following him around. It's quite hilarious.
@Rellow I'm pretty sure all the RPG AI is mucked in some way because I've watched cultists fire rockets into the ground at their feet and decimate a group of friendlies.
Oh I'm not saying Hurk is a unique kind of stupid at all. I saw an NPC on Criken's stream blow himself up with 4 other people because he fired it close range into a building. I question why the fuck NPCs are allowed to have them at all if this is the result.

Same guy before I untied him.
What's the best way to cover a bunker in terrain in the map editor?
For those of you playing on PS4, I created my first map and I'd love to share it with you.
Far Cry Arcade on PS4, Xbox One, PC | Ubisoft
It's called Sneaky Shore and is an Outpost map
I also made an outpost map on PC (if that even matters) and would like to hear some suggestions (if any).

Damn, I've finished most everything in the game (even managed to find a hare to skin), but I've got 1 mission in the mountains, and one in the river area unaccounted for. There aren't any more contacts or quest markers on the map. Anybody have any idea what I'm missing? It's funny, because I know of at least 2 missions in the valley that I didn't get because of the order in which things played out, but the counter still says I'm done.
Anyone else run into a squad member when they aren't following you? I shot a cougar and the revive icon popped up and I realized it was peaches.
I have played your map and found it enjoyable. Seems like the guys did different things everytime I reloaded the map (I got caught several times and restarted), though I haven't played much with NPCs in the editor, so I don't know if that's common or desirable. Kept me on my toes at least. If you want to polish the map up, I'd suggest going around and look for things that aren't all the way in the ground and the like, there were definitely a few flying objects. The worst was that one of the windows on the lower building was uncovered, so you could get underneath the bigger one, and see up through its floor. Other than that, a pretty solid first map.
Any tips on level creating? I really wanna make enjoyable journey maps and outposts but I don't know the first thing about proper level design.
John is literally the only one I recommend people go through, Jacob and Faith is just a skip fest
I guess I'm in the minority when I say that I enjoyed how human the villains are in this game. Sure, they're still messed-up and utterly evil, but I can see why they're the way they are. John was a naive boy pushed around and abused his entire life, Jacob had to eat his fellow soldier to survive in the Gulf War that changed him fundamentally, Faith was a drug addict that was given as second chance to help people, and Joseph was a poor man who lost his wife, he didn't know how to care for a child on his own and he made a deranged choice. On top of all this is explicitly stated that the brothers hated their abusive parents. Yeah, many people literally don't care about this stuff. I get that, some of you think that Ubisoft's attempts at creating good characters aren't good enough, I'm just happy they're trying. This is the only way our medium will ever get taken seriously. If every villain was an evil piece of cardboard, I would have been super disappointed.
No, its that its all terribly contrived and poorly written crap. Its not that they have sob stories, its that they're badly written sob stories that are weakly used to justify their psychotic behavior and the rampant, borderline genocidal actions of the cult. Piss off with this, "WE NEED THIS FOR THE MEDIUM TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!" crap because having shitty writing for your story does not make for a serious medium.
