There's an actual grappling hook you can pick up? That's awesome. Talking about these challenges really makes me want to replay the game, dang. Low ammo makes is a really neat gameplay changer. Been playing around with that in all of my maps so far, makes everything way more intense.
My God that sprint slowdown thing is obxnoxious
Haven't even touched the interior yet. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/554/92f15aa9-93b8-4172-985a-79ff2dd640a9/FC5 Border 9.PNG https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/554/48a0beb1-ce48-4bc4-b9c3-c970bc13945e/FC5 Border 10.PNG
I just had the cult kidnap me from a plane while flying it
I was in a helicopter when I lost all momentum, stopped in the sky, and slowly floated to the ground. Seriously it's so bad.
What I am trying to say is that, no matter what; War won't end how you hope. Fighting for the sake of fighting will cost you more than you expect. Even the justified wars, innocents die, and allies fall. I must admit that Peace isn't always feasible. Everyone thinks that the Cult is full of crazy motherfuckers. The Cult thinks they are helping these people. They buy up all the land in Hope County. Yes, PEG owns the County. Then they attempt to bring everyone into their bunkers. Some people resist and fight back, the Cult reacts in force to this. The Cult already believes that the War is 100% going to happen. Joseph mentions the news. He notes that all you see is violence, conflict, greed, segregation, indecency, and the Society of Self. The Collapse was inevitable in his eyes. There lies the problem. When they are sure that everything is going to die if they don't join them; they're already dead. In their eyes, being an Angel, Judge, or Prisoner is better than being dead. They use fear to ensure that, "In the end they will thank us." They are extremists, they want to save everyone they can. Yes, exactly. I was pointing out that Eden's Gate is essentially American ISIS. I agree with everything you are saying, but you must look at why they exist. If the inevitability of war weren't so apparent to them they wouldn't be taking this extreme stance. We don't have the entire picture. Ubisoft kept the reality of the situation away from the player to justify their actions. To ensure that ending would surprise you, unless you were paying attention.
Matlas, you're seriously starting to come across as disturbed here. Take a break.
I like John and Faith's region but the other dude is just unmemorable as fuck. The guy with the stutter is the only human character I ever remember, I don't even remember who the hostage dude is (was he the pilot?). Also, I'm already 3/4 resistance only 2 hours into the region. I'd advise newcomers to take Hilljack dude region in the north first, as the story will fall flat if you take the south first.
I'll admit that I have a lot of stock in the story being better than it is. I've always wanted to write villains like the Seeds. That's why I like them so much, they're characters that I wanted to make. There's so much potential here, and to see it squandered seems like a waste. A lot of it doesn't make any sense, until you start at the origin of the movement.
This sucks because from an environmental standpoint Jacob's region is my favorite. So many nice places to visit.
Actually war can end what you hope, it can change your entire way of thinking, for some it can come back, for others it's changed forever, depending on the severity of the conflict, in this case it's pretty fucking big, *wink wink*, you can go from being the Hope in Hope County, to complete and utter despair.
What do you mean by that?
You sprint at full speed for a good 2 seconds before slowing down slightly. You have to re sprint to go back to full speed it's annoying as shit
i hated that shit, no idea why they wont allow you to sprint indefinitely.
Oh shit, now I'm gonna notice that Also while on that topic, I feel like the sprint homeopathic should be more potent. Wasn't it so in Far cry 3/4? I remember running around at jet speed levels in those two
Hey you know what would have been great. Had all three main male antagonists not been named J something
I feel like only Joseph and John are any sort of real problem. I wonder how many beat John and thought they'd just killed the Father.
I don't think it's much of an issue, each name is distinct enough so me personally I don't mix up the names. besides, bliblical thread blah blah
Pretty sure its just to encourage use of the drugs. I literally only used them for the challenge that required them, and later for the side missions that required them.
Not only Jacob Seed is the least charismatic of the bunch, but also an unnecessarily edgy ""survivalist"" and has absolutely nothing to back up his 'strong eats the weak' character nonsense while he himself is a pussy using voodoo mind control and a sniper rifle. What a bloody waste of pixel.
Well, looks like this this week's Live Event is blowing up cult pickups with thrown explosives. Sounds easy enough... if there were any more cult pickup trucks still around. Guess it might be time to start a new game.
surprised there hasn't been any form of save editing yet to allow for changing the state of the world to make things crazy again
You can always just reset the outposts, and have them raise the alarm so reinforcements come in.
There is also a re-spawning truck on the dirt road at that compound that you can't enter due to the music
So, how do you claim the Live Event rewards?
I want a mod to disable that so I can go derp around over there. The first time that happened to me it scared the piss out of me, but as soon as I relized where I was I figured it out.
if you're on PC, press shift+F2 to bring up the uplay overlay, and move over to club challenges. they'll be in the weekly tab.
Can't find the rewards for the last challenge. I participated and the community goal was met, shouldn't I get a bunch of clothes and shit? Not talking about the new one
you need to manually activate the challenge. if you did and didnt get the reward, you should contact ubi. otherwise, it should let you claim old rewards im pretty sure, they do that with siege.
Damn this makes me realize how shit my map is
