Wish the special outfits were just parts of clothing you could mix and match with everything else.
I'd not be surprised to see it at some point down the line. Ubisoft games seem to have started following the same pattern: Release too early, Community falls off, Make necessary changes to stabilize community, Make big content and and quality of life additions, Community grows.
My newest project is finished. It's called Prince of Persia, because that's where I got the idea from. You're the Persian Prince, thrown into the jail of your dad's palace by the evil Jafar, who also took your girlfriend hostage. Luckily some idiot forgot to lock your cell, so it's up to you to escape, make your way back into the palace, kick Jafar's ass and escape. Grab it from here: Far Cry Arcade on PS4, Xbox One, PC | Ubisoft The recent patch fixed some of the lighting issues in the editor I guess. It's not sunset anymore, but I like the new look. http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-fvpnj.jpg http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-vaqia.jpg http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-5hp3t.jpg http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-cmqlb.jpg http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-mkp5c.jpg I hope the gameplay turned out okay, it's really hard to judge how something plays if you got nobody to try it out besides yourself. Just pretend that bats and pipes are actually swords and cutlasses and enjoy!
I mean Ghost Recon went from being a singleplayer/coop game to suddenly having some weird PvP mode and a second year of story and pvp content.
Okay to apparently the textures in my map got completely fucked up in the published version. http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-hsppy.jpg http://abload.de/img/farcry5steam2018-5-1-agp62.jpg There doesn't seem to be a fix for this yet and it's making me very angry. Days of work and now it looks like shit.
NOPE, CLIPPING SHIT HERE. https://puu.sh/AehFv/bf5bb1fdbc.jpg https://puu.sh/AehFL/b522c6de6c.jpg AWFUL MAP, 0/10, CEASE AND DESIST!
Dude, don't sweat it. You've made some of the best maps I've seen so far. Good work.
I was stuck at night for so long, I forgot how good the game looked.

This game is pretty bad. Wish I could return it
So what are the things you have a problem with then?
I have about 15 hours in now. Things so far that have made me ask "how did this get past QA": Sometimes when you talk to someone, they will step away from you and then yell "Hey, where are you going!". Sometimes you literally have to run after them to keep up the conversation If you are on fire whilst loading your shotgun, you can't put out the fire until you finish calmly loading your shotgun, one shell at a time. (You can break this animation by firing a shot once you have 2 shells in, but this doesn't make any sense. You're on fire!) If you get into a vehicle and hit throttle + steering whilst the entry animation is playing, it will ignore your steering input until you release the control and then press it again. Kind of annoying to jump into your getaway vehicle and end up going in a straight line for no reason If you get into your car on the passenger side, and have a hired gun, they will claim the driver seat immediately, even if it takes them another 10 seconds to walk to the car. You can't scoot across: you need to get out, wait for them to get in then get out again, then walk around and get in. Sometimes your hired gun doesn't get into the car, and stands there staring at it blankly. You can fix this by getting out, shooting them in the head and reviving them Sometimes people get stuck in walls (?) Sometimes you kill someone with a weapon you want, and the weapon is nowhere to be seen Allies will run in front of you whilst you are firing your machine gun Walking anywhere near the top of the ladder causes you to start climbing down it, which locks you into a very slow animation. Normally this happens when I'm trying to shoot someone climbing up a ladder. I end up climbing down through them, they climb to the top, and shoot me in the face At the helicopter shop in Holland Valley, you can't buy helicopters if you are standing in front of the vendor, because you block the pad. You have to stand on the other side and use the control panel from behind A helicopter appeared whilst I was fishing. I had to reel the line in all the way before I could put the rod down, which took about 10 seconds. I then got insta-killed before I could run for cover Capture squads: It's pretty immersion-breaking to be captured and released 20 times when you have killed several members of someone's family. The first time I was captured, I was in a helicopter with no enemies anywhere near me. The screen just turned white, and suddenly I was in a van. I had no idea what happened. From reading online: if you kill enough capture squads, eventually a random bullet will just hit you from nowhere, even if you are in a fully enclosed space Just generally annoying stuff: I killed the bad guys in front of Hope County Jail in my helicopter. Suddenly, I'm on the ground talking to the Sheriff, and he tells me to kill more bad guys in front of the jail. My helicopter has disappeared from the face of the earth, and I need to kill them on foot Often in cutscenes your camera is locked in one position. Good job removing the last vestige of interactivity No way to cancel radio calls if you want to talk to an NPC. I stood for a good couple of minutes listening to Faith's generic monologue before I could talk to Virgil. The whole time, Virgil was haranguing me with "Hey Deputy! Over here!" at the same volume as the radio NPCs talk over each other all the time It's not clear at any point what Seed's cult is actually about, or how they gathered a small army of followers in a low-population region (pre-reaping). Just generic evil guys doing evil things I guess. After all this bitching, there have been a few moments that have made me laugh out loud. Like when I rescued a civilian, and a bear sprinted out of the woods and fucked him up before I could untie him.
This sums up a lot of my complaints, with one of the biggest probably being the way the game can't cope with air supperiority at all. If you chose to do missions in a chopper, the game becomes completely inept and unable to process what is going on. I cleared the wolf training center outpost via helicopter, and the capture never finished, even after clearing out even all surrounding enemies and searching the whole building. Had to leave the area so enemies respawned and the outpost could be captured from the start.
Thanks for your kind words guys! The bug just annoyed me to no end because Ubisoft has not responded to a single complaint about it on the forums, despite there being a huge thread about it. If you're referring to the Galactica Star map, that one was actually made by a player called Nasty Nate on the PS4. Once your map gets featured you're given the choice of getting it ported to all other consoles but it's gonna state that it's a map by Ubisoft. Kinda sucks if you ask me. Glad you liked the Suburbs map that much!
So that shovel rocketlauncher is in the game https://youtu.be/fh5-Xe26SIQ
Yeah, look, sorry, but nothing can replace the feeling of pure satisfaction achieved by just pegging a fucking shovel at a cultists face. Get that rocket launching technology out of here, I don't need anything but my shovel-chucking muscles. I get unironically excited when an arcade map focuses on shovels.
What if i told you you can have both? https://i.imgur.com/2qLkoec.jpg
I think his post was turning down said weapon in favor of normal melee shovel.
That shovel launcher is pretty great. Enemies go flying when you shoot them with it, and you can pick the shovels back up, so basically infinite ammo.
Yup, I don't think anything could convince me to use that shovel launcher over my own bare hands. Nope. Nope. Oh. I am always running out of shovels.
The fuck is the deal with climbing out of water in this game? Like, why do I have to be walking on the bottom to get up? The fuck?
I know, i was just joking around
Some times. Sometimes you can just mantle straight up onto a ledge or a dock. I think in many cases, either individual map pieces have edges set for climbing, or they have a tool that lets them mark climbable edges. Either way, they didn't get everything that needed getting.
As alright at this game is there's a couple of things that drive me nuts: My playthrough so far as been clearing out dutch's area then pushing over to john seeds' area, getting the railyard first THEN dealing with the rest of it (for context): After clearing the railyard, I had the mg truck and it was just easy mode from there. The MG trucks are so op it's not even funny. All feeling of being the underdog was gone after getting the MG truck. I no longer felt the need for stealth and have almost never used it despite wanting to originally other than when required. I killed the big scary armored truck that the cultists made with just a quick burst of the helicopter MGs. It exploded near instantly despite hitting the presumably steel-only trailer and I was just like "what? That's it?". Completely killed what was supposed to be the "big bad scary thing" you've been half expecting since clearing out state auto or w/e . It wasn't a case of using a weapon not meant for that mission either as the helicopter was literally supplied at the second roadblock. Holy fucking shit screw these damn AIs. I've literally stopped using hired guns / specialists because of how often they will either run in front of me, run through enemies blindly while I'm trying to stealth, drive our truck off a cliff, or be totally useless. Seriously it blows my mind how bad the friendly AI's driving and general movement skills are. Random friendly forces steal my car as soon as gun or otherwise goes off and it's left me stranded a couple of times. Helicopters and planes feel way too arcadey. That steering gas thing mentioned earlier is really annoying. How the heck are we supposed to even remotely believe some of the crap the cult does? I captured Seed's house and most of the settlements in the region and yet magically come time to kill him, he's not only taken back his house but taken over the falls town again.
the shovel launcher is fun but im sad killing animals with it doesn't net you perfect skin...
Hunt/Capture is so fucking shit. One moment I am flying helicopter, the other I wake up in a cell.
Only my first John and Faith captures were fine. With John, I was in the middle of a huge running gunfight in the forest I was already losing, so it seemed fine. For Faith, I got caught out rescuing someone, when the rescuee disappeared in a puff of gas, so that seemed fine (though kind of like I got kidnapped by a Batman villain). The rest I would just stand there when marked, or when I found a captured person I couldn't mark with binoculars , or when all the Jacob crap started.
Wow that ending was god awful It just leaves the player unsatisfied. So now what they are gonna do, fallout far cry?
The capture system is just horseshit, full stop. I was captured in moving vehicles twice, once while I was in a helicopter in which the rotors just stopped, the helicopter froze, then floated to the ground. Except for one time, ever other time I was surrounded by allies in protected places. I can't believe they thought they were a good idea
I think one of the least fun tropes of any FPS is the "oh no they got a lucky hit in and you got captured" moments. How many games like far cry, call of duty, etc. have moments where you feel super powerful then a scripted cutscene starts where you're powerless. Far Cry 5 has, what, 9+ moments like this? I love the game but damn unless they release a new game + with skippable scenes idk when i'll replay it.
