From watching the intro it seems The radio operator of the team of U.S marshals in contact with the team was working for the Father, so its possible that the entire thing is being covered up by the Father's network. But I might be wrong. Just assuming from the intro on the subreddit.

Has anyone here watched the short movie Inside Eden's Gate? Is it worth watching, and I know it's a prequel but does it maybe give away too much?

Ubisoft has actually taken a better choice regarding stuff like that. In AC:Orgins, I was able to get random stuff like weapons and clothes that were only sold in the shop from doing a certain quest that popped it. For the main story, are we playing a predetermined character or are we able to create our own character to play through the story?

Far Cry has always had exceptional gunplay. I didn't care much for the story of 4 but I had a great time both stealthing around and engaging in large gunfights. Everything just felt so good.

I'm a sucker for Ubisoft open world games. I just turn my brain off and relax, shoot some baddies, and capture those outposts.

Any idea if FC5 will have that Dynamic Fire System that was in the previous ones?

Eh the dynamic fire (ironically) died out after 2 and has been using the same watered down version 3 and 4 had. If you start a fire it'll spread a bit and then die out, nothing like 2's epic blazes.
