God damn after getting many mods reinstalled due to a reformat, finally got Skyrim able to play. AND IN UNDER 10 CRASHES!!! Got my saves back upped before then and just praying they wont start crapping out midplay. too lazy to do a new game. Really hoping the fact some of the mods that got updated wont screw with things.

The new version is much better than the old by itself, it still uses a pants on face method for handling spawns and cleanup which tends to interact badly with other mods that also handle spawns or interact with leveled lists.
Not a Dynasty Warriors crossover mod 0/3 would not persue
There was a mod I found by accident on bethesda.net which made the weapon tiers have different qualities from each other. Like glass weapons swung faster and Orcish ones were more likely to stagger, or something like that. Does anyone know what it is, and if it's available on Nexus?
Could it be one of these ? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68849 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59736/?
I think it must have been the second one, thank you.
Does anyone know if family sharing The Elder Scrolls Online will let someone play the game properly? I'm trying to install it after being shared it by my girlfriend but after the 68 gigabyte ordeal that was the download, trying to launch it produced a "missing executable", and when I went to browse local files the folder was something like 170MB with no sign of any real game files. Am I just gonna have to wait to pick it up cheap to try it?
Almost done installing Morrowind but not sure what to play.... Fighter? Mage? Thief? I'm giving the game a 3rd try to hook me so no gameplay mods, just the 2002 experience spruced up a bit visually.
IMO morrowind is most fun playing pure wizard
focus entirely on unarmed and unarmored fight naked and punch n'wahs in the dick
I was genuinely thinking of playing a monk, actually. Or at least a custom monk class without the magic. Maybe I really want to play Jade Empire again...
Decided to go with a custom warrior with Long Blade as a major skill, as a Redguard that gives me 50 LB skill right out of the gate, allievating the early game woes of Morrowind combat.
So I figured out one especially grievous reason when it comes to my inability to enjoy Morrowind and that is the complete scarcity of early quests. There are only a handful of quests in Seyda Neen and a few people standing in the road to Balmora. Seyda Neen's quest are, by and large, talking to people. That's ok for a level 1 character (though the tax collector is hard to find, I feel) but it's same deal for the other early quests, not much of an opportunity for a new character to grow. The best they have to offer is an escort quest, and that's not a good sign. The real awful thing is that there are NO NON-FACTION/MQ QUESTS IN BALMORA, the first big stop on the MQ and a place you come back to multiple times. That's just messed up game design right there. Caius even suggests you go looking for freelance work but there's none to be found in Balmora and he doesn't mention that little fact. Maybe it was designed that way to lead you into joining a guild but that could be a pretty intimidating choice for a player, I've never been all too comfortable joining a guild, though I do have problems with authourity in real life so I guess it's all my fault and Morrowind is perfect. As bad as Skyrim is with it's rather repetative 'clear the draugr from the barrow' side-quest design at least side-quests were never in short supply, always leading the player to new dungeons, new holds, more game to play. Morrowind puts you as far away from the actual 'game' as you can get, and you get to it as infamously slow as the no fast-travel design suggests. tl;dr to play morrowind join a faction or gtfo of the early towns
Most of the games content is contained in the guilds and the MQ, that's the way it's designed. You can obviously just hit dungeons, many of which are non quest related, (there's one right outside seyda neen) you're p much supposed to join a guild (as suggested by caius) to beef up your character for the MQ. Also visiting the undercover blades trainers (a bunch of whom live in balmora and one in seyda neen) give you free stuff, tips and cheaper skill training.
So, I've been playing with Truly Balanced Destruction Magic since 2012, and I've been trying to replicate the effects with other schools (mostly restoration, so health recovered and Sun/Poison rune damage increase with Skill). So I opened the mod with the CK to see what made it tick, and pretty much found this. I decided to add a similar tweak to the other schools in a separate mod, and it worked, but there seems to be some unintended sideefects: With only the original mod installed versus the new mod that doesn't touch Destruction installed. I suppose Fortify Restoration is magnifying the effect of the remaining fortify effects.
I guess that more than anything is what stumped me in 2009, I've never been too comfortable joining a guild in Morrowind what with all the conflicting interests they have. Oblivion also had a lot of non-faction quests, it was what I was used to, them and the "lead ALL the guilds!" mentality the game encouraged. Daggerfall was the same, once I managed to find the game in that. I mean, if everyone thought I was their enemy, they'd know where I stood, but with being neutral who know's what I'll do.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji8YfuHS21w I wish someone would try to do a better job, but jeez does this have some good parts in it. When Daggerfalls theme kicks in at around 0:49 man, shits great.
Not going to lie, the full 2;09 gave me goosebumps
so for some unexplained reason i've been turning invisible on the inventory screen, and just on that screen. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2043/7cba2b5a-f4ff-4e89-a69b-e1e4000522e7/Stealth100.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/2043/554588d9-3084-4d5b-8098-40fa0095e54c/Stealth25.png
Can't you just use the Corprus glitch to basically go Super Saiyan?
https://i.imgur.com/vqT4dOe.png Here is Sheva (no relation to Sheva, I'm not good with Redguard names), she punches stuff. To solve disputes between people or noble houses, duels are sometimes fought to decide who is in the right, with the assumption that the victor had some divine favour. This system of conflict resolution is found in many cultures, including the Redguards of Hammerfell. Though almost every Redguard is expected to handle a weapon, it would not do to have nobles slaughtering each other in duels in vengence for slaughtering each other in duels of vengence and some nobles are simply cowardly but rich, so often champions are used in place of the feuding parties. Sheva was one of these champions for hire until her own reputation led to many challenges by rivals, which caused her to leave Hammerfell for the Arena of Cyrodil and start afresh. Unfortunately, her talent and dedication only to her study of the blade led her to draw the attention then the ire of 'fixers' of the Arena's gambling market. She refused to play to their rules, no bribes, no coersion, no promises of fame and glory swayed her mind and so she had to be removed. Sheva was framed for being 'on the take' of illegal match fixing and poisoning an opponant, and so was arrested and put in the Imperial City's prision. After weeks in the dungeons under false charges, she was sent without explanation to Morrowind ignorant of the role she was to play in that nation's history... During her stint in prision, Sheva learned to rely on unarmed and unarmoured combat in life-or-death situations. After being released, she decided to continue this discipline. She will not raise a blade again until she has perfected the technique of the empty hand and no longer needs a weapon. Level 8 and never used a weapon and only equiped the two cloth bracers you see there.
i feel uncomfortable seeing a morrowind character with such defined abs
That's Better Bodies for you, I guess they're better in more ways than one. Anyway, I've upgraded my opinion on Morrowind now that I'm picking up steam in the game. Joining a guild/house is critical for actually finding stuff to do. The lack of NPC schedules is an immersion killer for me, I might find a mod for those later but I was looking for a close-to-vanilla-as-convenient experience with this playthrough. I now consider Morrowind to be like Batman 1989 and Bohemian Rhapsody. Overrated but still good.
Every time I see Caius I'm reminded of this https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/244047/d81fb1f2-393f-405e-832e-1666af611f91/image.png
Casius switched from moon sugar to protein powder.
If any ESO players on PC NA can help me do the dlc dungeons on vet while the eso+ trial is on add me @Mr.Foxer. Can tank or dps. Already asked in two guilds and can't find a group for shit.
I'm reminded of when I was using Muscular Women for a female barbarian character. I uninstalled it when I discovered that it made all of the game's little old ladies absolutely fucking ripped. Anyhow, I've been working on some eye textures for the Khajiit- namely, a new scarred/blind eye texture: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/234327/bf07a6fe-a0e7-4a01-8b62-470b341ce610/newblind.png And here's my character with the blind eye and another texture that I made using resources from Oaristys's "The Witcher 3 Eyes": https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/234327/df548508-a209-4ba3-8ede-f0180476281f/neweyes.png Thinking I should probably publish this at least to replace the old eye texture I included in one my existing mods.
Always loved the mashups that are made from the themes, even with just 3 it produces something great. I'm glad that over the years they've kept the core of the elder scrolls theme the same but gave each of them their own spin, each fitting into the overall focus of the game. And upon mentioning that can't forget Morroblivyrim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygzljVH1_70
All three of the 3d game themes give me goosebumps and I love them.
