The Elder Scrolls Megathread XX: Might as well be XXX

Yeah with ESO being updated and more and more expansions coming out for it, I doubt Beth Game Studios next game will be TES.
BGS isn't doing jack-diddly towards ESO, unless you mean that Bethesda Softworks (the publisher) is going the way of Valve. A separate team is behind ESO.
I edited my previous post with an explanation.
BGS's home studio will be making two games before TESVI, one of which is starfield. After those aside, from the management team concept planning TES VI will start initial production.
The new expansion is so fucking pretty, holy shit.

FUCK
Is starfield actually confirmed now? Or is it just rumors?
I'm bothered why they've designed an elf like that, with JUST pointy ears.
Where are the highly unique elven features?
(or is she a special half elf something-or-other?)
The Hobbit films were coming out around the time ESO was being released, I think.
Elves have a more 'slender' face, which funnily enough means they look better than human characters in ESO itself as human characters.
Well of course elves make better humans than humans, elves do everything better.
Just seemed lazy to me.. :/
IIRC the evidence is that beth did starfield trademark registrations. Not sure whether leaks of what starfield actually is came before or after that.

If you watch kevduit with your account linked for 5 minutes before 4pm est you'll get a crate
https://www.twitch.tv/kevduit
I was wondering why I ran into him earlier
Isn't it just a chance at a crate?
If you watched for at least 5 minutes and were there when the stream ended you got the crate. What's in it is random though.
Also turns out I was on the stream when I bumped into him on accident

God he's hyper as fuck. I bought ESO a few weeks ago but didn't play it much. Is it worth playing? I normally play WoW but we're between expansions right now until august so it's kinda dead.
I like this area

And here I am, waiting for those areas, heightmaps and the like to be put to good use once TES VI comes out, perhaps having Nazi elves trying to unmake reality as a main threat...
Isn't it the main goal of the Thalmor to destroy all the Towers and end reality, because they'll (supposedly) rejoin the gods in aetherious?
Or is this all maybe-lore from Kirkbride
It isn't destroying reality but more the plane of Mundus which is mortality, as they believe they will be "recycled" into their base souls which are immortal and free of things such as disease, poverty and war (at least between the divines). The Thalmor believe this is the noblest of goals and consider themselves the enlightened on all things with nonbelievers being considered of lower intelligence/worth. This is why they have the whole holier than thou attitude, because they legitimately view themselves as the knowledgeable saviors who will return things to what they view as better.
But, at the end, a mortal soul is still a mortal soul.
Still, that's the great dichotomy between men and mer: Mer (except the dunmer) believe Mundus to be a curse, while men (except the redguard) believe Mundus to be a chance of doing things. And, at the end, the merish condescending attitude towards men boils down to "how can you enjoy this thing I depise?"
Not just this, they want to destroy the very idea of mortality along with it. So that something like Mundus never happens again.
Well
How do you do fellow kids.
Since the new expansion, TESO reignited my interest into perhaps buying the game but I got a few questions first:
How is the combat? I understand it's not exactly like for example Skyrim but it's a bit like it, right?
As someone who mainly plays solo, will there be lots of grinding for me?
Are there plenty/fun activities outside of questing?
Does buying houses give you any advantages?
So has anyone done the restoration potion glitch, how much power is too much power?
up to you
I tried to keep it reasonable but the numbers go nuts after a while, is it safe to keep the numbers around 1k or so? So it doesn't try to melt skyrim.
remember, invisibility only works until you interact with things.
