i don't remember a neechee in that game just a photographer
I tend to avoid Fortify Smithing/Alchemy/Enchanting; far too easy to go into absurd levels. Also, fucking Fortify Restoration affecting ALL other Fortify effects, making a balanced scaled Restoration magnitude (so the spells become better as your level increase) pretty much impossible to mod, because every other Fortification ALSO gets magnified...
So, skyrim does this thing where when there is a light source in your field of vision, all lighting in the game becomes dimmer for some reason. This makes things like torches and the candlelight spell useless, because everything more than five feet away from you suddenly becomes pitch black. Is there any way to turn this off? I don't have any graphic or lighting mods or anything like that.
Skyrim Nexus is down right now so I can't easily link anything from it, but there were quite a few mods that get rid of the HDR/Adaptation effects. I think you can use ENB to achieve the same effect.
Just type teofis in the console. Bam, filters are off, game is suddenly much richer in color.
1: I'd say barely skyrim based, it has similar alchemy/enchanting, the same weapon types and there's still light/heavy attacks and blocking, but that's about it. The skyrim perk system is gone and in its place is an endgame bonus system that ups specific stats like % damage over time, or % elemental damage reduction. The schools of magic are replaced with mmo-esque skills for each weapon type and class abilities that unlock as you use em more, but there's no cooldown on skills, so you don't have to cycle through 10 different ones for decent damage like other mmos. Armour also plays a massive role now by providing set bonuses which can boost your favourite skills. 2: Depends on your definition of grinding, there's enough quest variety in the game to level yourself from 0 to 50 three times over, but it does take a while to get there and starts to feel like a drag if you're not paying attention to the quests in an attempt to blast through it as quickly as possible. 3: Besides exploring, gathering, fishing, and decorating your house/char, there's not much outside killing/crafting. For killing though you've got tons of options like zone bosses, group-based content, pvp, loose-cooperation between strangers like public dungeons and anchors, etc. 4: Having a house just gives you minor conveniences like easy access to crafting stations since it's free to warp to it. Honestly if you're wanting it for a new elder scrolls game you'll probably be disappointed, but its a fun game in it's own right.
I'm not looking for a new main TES game nor am i seeing this as TES 5, but my last MMO was WildStar and i'm looking for a new one.
Teofis can "ruin" some quests though, specifically that one Dragonborn quest where Neloth turns you into a tentacle monster. Was a bit confused when he started to talk about how I had tentacles coming out of my eyes and I was like "what..? There's nothing wrong..", until I figured out that your screen was supposed to be black.
I'm using teofis for now, it would be cool if there was like an ini tweak for this weird darkness filter thing.
I think there's an option in ENB that automatically teofis , but in disabling those filters, you get what laarg encountered: fades to black and other necessary filters stop working.
No Tint and Desaturation is a good option if you want to retain screen effects but still want Skyrim to look more colorful.

Your uncharged weapon annoys me far too much

By the way I called her Sekhmet. Originally I intended to name her "Sugar", but then I thought it could had sounded racist or something
kinda laying it on thick with the raceplay there matey, this is edging on (((khajiit))) territory
your character posts are pretty awful mate
Alright, alright, I know when to quit
god damn khajits stealing all our jobs and cars
You're just mad we can rock a sombrero like a boss
khajiit stole my coin
Harsh.
So oblivion needs updating on my Xbox one? why would that be? In had it installed for awhile https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/228231/f9417dbf-93b0-4711-af78-b0e3259e591f/B436E343-33A5-403E-B72D-09F36798CE17.jpeg

I need some esthetic advice, so to speak https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225139/78f3a5e6-79b8-4fc7-b505-bea2d6118e81/20180528163905_1.jpg Is the war paint color okay or is it too bright? I felt like she needed some more color to her, and the peculiar color could pass as a nice peculiar trait. She's a Bosmer, by the way. I decided to switch from Khajiit to Bosmer because, as soon as I got a bow and started to shoot everything and everyone from stealth, the general gameplay started to look a lot like this https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225139/d361ef33-07aa-4bf9-9141-53d493153493/Artemis_shoots_at_an_Apokoliptian_ship.gif
@Halflight You're on PC right? Okay, everyone is different when it comes to aesthetics, some people like over the top, some don't, so bare that in mind. But the first thing I think you need to "fix" is the face. Not that it's bad, but you have too much stuff on it. When making a standout character you should always remember this little quote: "Less is more" You should have unique features on the face, but only 1, at the most 2 You have 3; the eye, the face paint and the scar If you're going to have the face paint, make it a small one on the same side where you have something else, that way it can act to highlight that feature More than two and you start to look like a character from F04 with EVERY extra selected Next stuff is pretty general additions Find a good detailed skin mod if you're taking photos of characters. A paler skin tone would give more impact to the face painting (if you keep it.) but it looks fine, Get rid of the hideous vanilla hair, there are many packs. And remember, if you're going to pick something ridiculous and bombastic like a hairstyle with lots of features then that will be the next unique feature. Just try to even it all out. Big Unique hair - one unique facial feature Simple unique hair - max two facial features An eyebrows mod would look better too, something more man rather than mer would fit her face better I think.. But again, this is just my ideas on what you could do.
I like the vanilla hair in skyrim. At least I like it a lot more than all of the modded stuff that looks like it was ripped directly from modthesims.com. Also i haven't played skyrim in ages, but does anyone know of any face retextures for elves that make them look less like they have fucking scrotum flesh for a face- but still retain the ridged angular look that mer have instead of making them look perfectly smooth? Pretty much looking for a middle ground between this https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/222819/8d930dc3-b117-4bed-9e27-ce41e5108d8b/20161029160928_1.jpg And this https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/222819/f81b5b2f-ea17-4dfa-b0da-37393a10dbba/20161030010039_1.jpg That's exactly the same character, only changes being installing a retexture pack that also altered all of the scars for some reason. The retexture is closer to what I'm looking for, but it's too clean pretty and smooth.
Thank you for the suggestions, I'll see if I'll find in me the will to keep modding the game after the whole week-end I spent on it two weeks ago or so. For reference, the game looks like this as of now https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225139/16ce5c13-7512-45be-985b-de8aead2adcf/20180527142955_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/225139/f245a9af-41b8-4e4c-813c-7ac4bff52e05/20180527140223_1.jpg
Is there a big up-to-date mods list/filter of not-trash quality mods that has a decent amount of shit for Speshill Edition? TESGeneral took down their SSE guide and now its only normal.
Just finished a replay of Skyrim and Oblivion and im in a TES mood. Is ESO worth getting into? I saw they just released a new expansion but I haven't played since the Beta and i'v never found MMO's able to hold my interest for long. Has it changed much since the beta because I thought it seemed interesting at the time but i was broke as shit.
