FYI, the Oblivion LP from the LaFave Bros is totally worth checking out. It's the same guys that made the Sounds of Cyrodiil video and those "oblivion" videos.

Personally, Oblivion is my least favorite of the three core titles. The combat is extremely repetitive, which is a problem when it's both 70% of the game and fights drag for very long (Morrowind's combat was broken, but at least it was short). Most dungeons are copy-pasted and all feel the same (which admittedly Morrowind had a bit of, but I still feel there was more variety). And both of these are compounded by the most obnoxious level scaling in any game ever, which ensures that the enemies will always be equal or above you and every dungeon will be filled with the same enemies.

Oblivion does have some of the best quests though. There are few fetch quests from what I recall and every quest has some twist to it. Shivering Isles may be the best expansion in the series (though I haven't played Dragonborn or Dawnguard) and the Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild quests are both top notch (the others are okay).

And the broken/awkward AI is a feature, not a bug.

So as someone who thought the morrowind expansion was eh and didn't care to get summerset, time to gush about it cause they really stepped up their game.
Way more content now that there's no volcano taking up half of the region, the writings not schlocky and side quests are imaginative, reminded me of the best oblivion ones, the new
guild skill line is actually fun and not useless, and everything just feels higher quality. I mean this was one of the delves I was running through earlier, felt like a different game.

Gods are the ESO EU servers being extremely shit for everyone or just me? The past week I've been DC'd at least twice per hour on average, every time in loading screens and it has completely sapped my will to play it any further.
