How about a distance steal spell that will take a single random item from the target's inventory?
I already have an enchantment like this that steals a random item on the target. The problem is that it actually did have a chance to steal equipped items, which would fuck up the NPC's outfit since they would just respawn their clothing and you would have endless armor, so I just made it so it steal gold instead.
roflburger-senpai didn't like my ideas... :<
I had idea while trying to sleep. It's part of my necrobook idea where you have to do bad things for the book to teach you spells. Original idea is killing NPCs but that's just stale. I decided to go a little cliche and make it so you break all Ten Commands, but I realised that my mod already involves all ten of them, except Talos' commandment and maybe Akatosh's commandment since Talos' one is "don't be a fucking pussy lol" and Akatosh is "Serve and obey your Emperor. Study the Covenants. Worship the Nine, do your duty, and heed the commands of the saints and priests." There are situations in the main quest of the mod where you can be a dick to the needy (Stendarr), profane the spirits of the dead (Arkay), disrupt the peace between family members (Mara), steal (Zenithar), be a cunt to nature (Kynareth), destroy a friendship (Dibella), break the law (Julianos), worship daedra (Akatosh. Worshipping Daedra means you deny the divines, probably.), and be a cunt to others (All). I kinda want to pursue this idea since most of the work is done already. I just need to come up with spells relevant to these acts. Any thoughts or ideas?I have a few rough ones for each divine. Stendarr: Plague spell that deals AOE damage based on how many npcs are in the area. Arkay: Summon spell that can raise both the corpse and the spirit to serve the caster. Mara: I was stuck on this for a while until I came up with the idea of a frenzy spell that's contagious. A target who's frenzied who attacks someone will have that someone gain a the same frenzy spell, and so on. Zenithar: Stuck on this. Some sort of stealing spell sounds pretty neat but I already have an enchanted weapon that steals, plus this spell would make pickpocket redundant so I have no clue honestly. Kynareth: Stuck on this one, even though it sounds like the easiest. There's already a "bonus damage to creatures" enchantment. I might make a spell that acts as a crafting menu that allows you to mix alchemy ingredients together to make poisons (since it's relevant to the scenario where you insult kyne) but that would be a lot of work. Dibella: No idea. Maverick is strictly forbidden from giving suggestions btw. Julianos: Thinking of a spell that deals damage the higher your bounty is. Akatosh: Bonus power to all daedric artifacts. Hopefully this won't be a problem to implement since some daedric artifacts have fixed enchantment strengths that can't be modified. All: Reward for obtaining all spells. Can't think of anything at the moment but it needs to be really worthwhile in getting but at the same time doesn't cheese the game as much as level 100 enchanting and level 100 smithing would cheese the game.
Talos actually an easy one, he means to be courageous and with honor, so for example if you see some chick about to be eaten by a giant spider he would expect you to try and kill it (the spider, not the lady). So for example, seeing treasure behind the spider and running past while it devours the chick and using the time to escape with the loot would be against his commandment.
Or you could be sent undercover by the evil book into a group of adventure-seekers/treasure-hunters and then, like, activate traps to kill them, lie to get them to walk into ambushes, stab them in the back, mentally break them by exploiting their fears, and then crush their hearts by taking the treasure for yourself and leaving them with empty cheats as you unseen slip away. I think that could be the whole questline if you design the dungeon big enough. Nine or ten companions, and puzzles on how to kill or torture them in ways that profane the spheres of the Divines. Like Whodunit but in a dungeon. If you want, I can detail maximum dickitry for each Divine.

So for example, seeing treasure behind the spider and running past while it devours the chick and using the time to escape with the loot would be against his commandment.
I came up with two ideas for Talos: One, deny his godhood since he is not a pure god. Two, have it be a free reward since you're coveting with evil anyways when you retrieve the book.
roflburger-senpai didn't like my ideas... :<
I didn't see them.
Make Kynareth's the plague spell, use either Miraak's goop or the Afflicted's puke as the spell visuals. Maybe make it a spray spell if you can't make it look good as a ball of icky that booms. To replace Stendarr, maybe have that be a low-cost Summon Dremora spell that ignores the 1/2 limit summon. If you can get the spell to conjour a random, even modded, Daedric creatures then all the better. Or, as the antithesis of the God of Mercy you can cast a spell on a bleeding enemy and either get a bonus after killing them under its effect or it keeps them in bleed out and buffs you while torturing them, making it a cruel mercy. Dibella is a tricky one, maybe a spell that turns people into draugr who either flee or fight for you? Or something with tentacles because tentacles are gross? Zenithar could sunder arms or armour, undo their craftsmenship. Either it puts them in the NPC's inventory for later looting or heavily drains armour/damage rating as a stat to make it seem as though their equipment has degraded. Julianos is the god of knowledge and scholars, how about a destructive spell that's really good but takes a book out of your inventory to cast. Is that possible? As for the big end reward, maybe a whole new transformation of a redskinned Gargoyle that can really fuck shit up? Or maybe you get Alduin's meteor shower Shout?
Stendarr is all about curing the sick and generally caring for the weak. A plague spell fits him better than Kynareth. There's already a summon random daedra spell; Sanguine's Rose. I want to avoid sexual stuff with Dibella no matter how remote they are. Tentacles is just like... yeah. The Zenithar one seems like a good idea, equipment in skyrim still has a health stat but it's only used for improving weapons. I might just make a debuff that halves the armor rating + weapon damage of the target. I mean you can remove books from the player's inventory in order to cast a spell, however there is a risk of removing important books since there is 0 way to check if a book is used by a quest or not. The big reward needs to be unique and not use any assets from the DLCS.
I came up with two ideas for Talos: One, deny his godhood since he is not a pure god. The spell could be described as an unnatural plague that blights the environment. If you want another for Stendarr and have a more "staple" spell the player can use regularly, how about a spell that heals the undead and harms the living. Did you like the druagr idea? It would hae great synergy with the above idea. Are quest items not protected from such scripts? Or are you talking about radient quest items that aren't marked as quest items? I think the risk of destroying non-unique books it worth the idea. I'm unsure what you'd like for the final reward. An item? A spell? An ability? Some sort of recognition of infamy? Skyrim is a big game so coming up with anything unique is a very tall order. Do you want it to appeal to the silver-tongued corruptor evil or all-powerful overlord with hordes of demons and undead to crush the light of the world evil? Dibella could charm users and give you bonuses like 50% discount on items or somethin

So how has the ESO Morrowind Expansion been received? Thinking about giving ESO a go again
This might be a bit late, but for anyone who isn't aware a few days ago TES3MP released version 0.6.0 which added NPC sync.
