thank god this was cut
What game does this remind me of? I remember a game where there's a dude saying "You have been given a new task" but I can't remember it... Kingdom of Amalur?

Torchlight! That was it.
I think they were trying to go the classic route of characters telling you in a immersive way that you can't do a certain thing but realised that their protagonist is silent and they had to use a generic voice.

Never played Fable 1. M'Aiq told me not to.
Remembering/Relearning how to use the construction kit is a ball ache, the official tutorials are pretty good but they only cover interior cells and the smallest bit of exterior editing which is stuff I can vaguely remember from modding Morrowind.
Good luck finding a tutorial on world space editing that doesn't assume knowledge or require the use of 3rd party programs.

Joking aside, this would probably be very handy for people with dislexia.
Anyone try Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim mod? How is it?
It's pretty solid, the combat perks are the least interesting but the rest is lots of fun.
So I'm trying to mod Skyrim and I'm having neckseams with the custom face and body textures I have installed through ModOrganizer, but TextureBlend refuses recognize that I have skin and body textures installed.
People elsewhere said that adding Texblend as a MO executable should fix it, but I already did that and it's still giving me a "No Files Found for This Set and Type" message.
Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?
You're not doing it manually by just sticking the textures in TB then putting them back where they go when you're done.
Yeah, that seems to have solved my problem, thank you.
Good thing the folders are labelled so clearly, so that even an idiot could put their textures in the correct one. Good I wasn't one of these "idiots" and swapped the 'Color' and the 'Skin' textures, causing my character to look like a red faces monstrosity with a solid white body and I most definitely am capable of following basic instructions and selecting the "UNPBodyColor.png" and "UNPNeckColor.png" textures to blend the original files with, rather than blending them with themselves. Imagine actually doing those two things :v:
I installed a permadeath mod for Skyrim while forgetting about enemy killcams.
If I was using a controller I don't think it would be intact anymore.

I still never understood why they gave enemies killcams.
I mean sure, if the next hit WOULD kill you, and it DOES connects, the bandits deserves to have a long, drawn out 'chop you to bits' scene.
But as it is, the bandit magically teleports you in front of him, with at least a third of your health still intact, and unavoidably headbutts you to death.
There's actually a glitch that's caused by you not ever dying for a long period of time (~50 hours of gameplay is usually when it occurs) that's solved by dying and then reloading your save.

Is there any way to get the Skyrim SE Creation Kit without using the Bethesda.net launcher? I've installed the launcher but it just won't start up, not even showing up as a process in Task Manager and nothing I've tried works.

Seems like an oversight in how damage is calculated and the chances for killcams are calculated. May also be because there isn't a minimum health threshold for them to occur so a bandit doing a forward power attack while you're at full health will count.
FO4 mostly fixes the issue since you need to be on far lower health to be eligible to a killcam. I personally still wish they would make it so that you would need to actually be hit by a regular attack in order to proc the animation since it is possible to physically dodge normal blows.

They wouldn't be too bad if they were rare, only activated after a killing blow was dealt to you, and only 'leader' type enemies could do them.

only fucking Bethesda could be like this. :v:

So permadeath is futile?

I love spending 10 minutes trying to kill a Dragon who never lands, only to have it killmove me through a fucking wall when I finally get it down to a fraction of its health.

There was one point when I was playing where I got to the big arena in the Lost Knife Cave, killed all the bandits, and was left with the last bandit: the chief in the arena. I thought to myself, "Oh, I bet I can take him on one on one." and jumped into the arena, shield at the ready.
My mistake is that he had a warhammer and any time he power attacked, he instantly killmoved me from full health. I tried five or six times and ultimately *had* to snipe him with arrows from outside the arena.

In lieu of a proper Sheva post, have a Sheva shitpost
Apparantly Wet and Cold's face masks don't play well with my Enhanced Camera mod, so I use this face mask mod too, if I really care I could also switch textures but it's no big deal right now.
Hyper Immersion.

it's not a bug, it's just realism feature ;~)

JFC I'm glad to have ditched the permadeath mod.
I'm still keeping all the mods like Combat Evolved to ramp up the difficulty. Even without permadeath it's made the game a lot more fun for me.
Yay, first time killed a dragon in stealth and...
