Been using Skyrim64 with a test build of MO2, They have a discord that is public if you want to test it, its pretty stable for me.
How much does your saves take space in total?
52GB + 86GB + 15GB = 153GB Some might be duplicate saves because of mod organizer fuckery and some saves before were deleted in the name of space.

My save is at number 13,754 though obviously I delete saves after it reaches around 200 in the folder for sake of cleaning. I got no life.
Prolly check it out when SSE modding isn't a rollover clusterfuck of opinions and whining, and the CC is down to a dull sneevily roar. Oldrim has the most mods, and more importantly it's not getting constant updates, so I don't have to keep up with multiple SKSE mods updating. Reading the discord message about not sharing the link, I just took a quick look at the change log and then left the server.

The GOTY edition of Oblivion comes with all those extra little DLCs right? Like Frostcrag Spire and whatnot? UESP says they do but I don't know if they're activated or if I'm just not the right level for them to start happening.

The regular version of the GOTY only has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, but the Deluxe version includes those and all the small DLCs too. Most of the small DLCs have quests that start at the end of the tutorial area (or when you first activate the plugins), so if they haven't started, then the DLCs either need activating, or you only have the regular version of the GOTY. Or you've got a mod that delays the start of the DLCs, though that seems unlikely from what you said.

I didn't even know there were two different GOTY editions of Oblivion until now. Huh. Looking at the Steam Store pages for both GOTY and GOTY deluxe says I have both purchased and installed, and both my Steam profile and the browser simply says "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" with no mention of GOTY or GOTY deluxe. I guess I have the regular GOTY cause I haven't seen anything about those smaller DLCs pop-up ingame. I'm still confused as fuck but I guess I don't need those anyways.
Yeah you really don't, they're just weird houses. Nexus probably has better house mods with actual quests and things as oppossed to "your long lost cousin died here's a key"
Yeah you really don't, they're just weird houses. Nexus probably has better house mods with actual quests and things as oppossed to "your long lost cousin died here's a key"
There was a decent harthfire mod, before an actual DLC

Could always just download the DLCs from another source, they'll work exactly the same. Not exactly warez if you literally can't upgrade to the deluxe to get the official downloads, imo.
You guys know this quest in Markarth, Forsworn Conspiracy one? Alright so I ended up resisting the arrest so I wouldn't end up in the mines, ended up killing half the city because they can't even scratch me, and my bounty is now too high so the dialogue won't trigger again because everyone wants to kill me on sight now. Massive oversight on Bethesda's part. I actually hoped resisting arrest would lead me to a different game choice, but of course not, it's Bethesda after all.
break into prison
I tried actually, but it's not possible, it's all scripted. There are some levers to pull but it's impossible to activate them and open the gate.
I believe if you take the city in the civil war it'll clear your bounty. If you don't want to join the stormcloaks, you can do the main quest and give markarth to them in the truce talks. Afterwards, just do a minor crime and go to jail, I think the quest will continue like normal then.
Probably? Nexus definitely has way cooler ones
I dunno because I haven't ever looked for house mods, the most I'd want is simple shacks for each of the class archetypes. There's never been anything like that for either of the games( as far as I've searched ) so I've kinda dropped house mods as a whole.
Been thinking of starting a new playthrough with the Tropical Skyrim Enhanced Mod as a basis: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83982/? Anyone have any experience with it? Some recommended mods to install alongside it?
I really want Orsimer and Dwemer to shift more away from the conventional, tolkien shit, and it still saddens me that they got closer in skyrim. #MakeOrcsGreatAgain #GetSoAdvancedYourRaceDisapears. Seriously though, I know I bring this up every few months, but I'm always learning new things. Tolkien hated industrialization, and thus his evil orcs had more advanced tech but it was somehow shit. Tolkien loved craftsmanship, so his Dwarves were still alright, because they had individual skill in making things. TES reverses that somewhat; The Orsimer are master crafters, the dwarves industrialize to crazy town and disappear, my headcannon says that nobody wants to touch their shit just because they don't want to end up like them. In daggerfall, Orcish was the second highest teir of equipment; an Orcish sword was better than ebony, elven, dwarven, adamantine, whatever, it just gets beat out by Daedric (oddly, Ebony is rather lighter in daggerfall, that bit just sticks out to me, but maybe that's the form rather than the material) I mean, there are some things wrong with how orcs used to be. Glorious superior Nippon weapons're a really dumb thing, even if it says something about the craftsmanship, and Samurai armour offered inferior protection to western armour. ...But Orcish in skyrim was just taking the piss,I know most of skyrim's weapons were impractical, but the orcish blades look like an 8 year old drew a picture and the blacksmith was fond of "say no more" memes. It's a return to tolkien's orcs, without understanding why Tolkien did what he did, because TES was doing the literal opposite thing with that race, and making them the craftsmen Tolkien admired. For the dwemer... I've got no more problem with the gear than any other set, but it's just... that damn, predominantly stone, ornate (in my opinion tasteless) architecture . It's there to look more conventionally dwarven There's of course the pipes and robots, but you can't deny that compared to prior games, the dwemer architecture is far more typical of dwarves in fantasy (with special exception go to the tiny chairs, the obvious traps and the worst hospitality) despite the dwemer being less craftsman, more industrial than the Tolkien Dwarves. Skyrim came with it's own lore to go with some of it's changes, sometimes those books even contested what was in game, but I'm really disappointed in Bethesda for softening TES's prior attempts at being unique/clever.
I like how you make shit up to break Bethesda's balls over dragging in unrelated shit rather than going with all the myriad options of genuine complaints you could have with Bethy and TES.

It's like the snowy assets seem to fit in to make skyrim look okay to good at best, but tropical stuff just looks... wrong somehow. I guess it's the lack of fog, as in jungle areas IRL it's quite foggy as hell half of the time.

Just tried SkyrimVR. It's...something. Easily the roughest version of the game for visuals (probably necessity to keep 60fps), but it controls fairly well with the DS4 and the novelty of seeing everything with proper scale is good fun. Not sure I'll manage a full playthrough but it's neat.
Been out of the loop for ages. Is Skyrim SE the go to now or does everyone still play standard? Will definitely be running mods.
32 is still the go-to for mods and graphics, 64 is the go-to for I don't know what fuck I'm doing and what is this due to inherent stability
If you don't plan on using any scripted mods you should go for SE. Cool scripted mods I'm running atm include Ultimate Combat, TK Dodge, Moonlight Tales... there's plenty that really overhaul the game. It also looks like most modders will only support SE going forwards, even if SE can't really support script heavy mods atm.
