How do you make conjuration work for you? I always struggled making use of that cause the spectral wolf and even the flame atronarch felt kinda weak.
That's because they are, most summons in Skyrim suck.
The Master level spells are ok, the Dead Thrall spell especially but if it ain't a Dremora lord, then it ain't worth your time.
Seriously, my favourite playstyle was a magic pistol
Flintlock pistol in off hand, magic in main
{healing, fear, frenzy, entangling vines, spreading fire, invisible, calm.}
Sneak into bandit camp, send them into a frenzy, whip out my large pistol, start blowing them away, leave satisfied.
Also, if you really want to feel like a badass necromancer, use Ordinator in conjunction with Conjuration.
Just, uh, don't be surprised if walking around becomes an issue.
Stealth fisticuffs is the only way to play tbh
Silently bodyslam your way through bandit forts
Ordinator is the goofiest mod I swear. You can summon spectral dogs by shooting people with a bow?? Like what
I wish there was a more normalized version. I don't have a big lore boner but shit like that is SO jarring.
I don't trust khajits.
fists are the way to go tbqh
1st time playing markarth got me confused with forsworn
seriously tho, am i supposed to side with them?

Well probably because you're playing an rpg wrong if you think theres a "correct" choice. Pick what you want or the character wants???

that honestly doesn't sound that "out there" in regards to Elder Scrolls magic, that shit can get crazy as fuck.
in fact that sounds relatively normal.

I should make a character that fists people at some point
[sp]loverslab here I come[/sp]
just make sure you go with the stormcloak general armor at some point

... By killing as many stormcocks as you can
Good Imperial goy.
The thalmor are your friends.
starting a 100% clean mod load, anyone have personal reccomendations for mods?
To my downfall, I decided to play Skyrim again and complete the quests I never bothered with (like th main quest, oops).
Shield Charge is absolutely hilarious and brokenly powerful, man I was missing out this whole time! You can just guard, press shift when in an enemy's face and they suddenly get catapulted away from you as if you hit them with a tiny Force shout... Except this shit is spammable as all [del]hell[/del] Oblivion. Fucking incredible.
The only thing that bothers me is that you don't get any finishers when using a shield + fist, so I have so strategically unequip it for hot suplex action.

Oh I know, I just wish it made more sense ingame. Like a combo Conjuration + Archery talent rather than lmao ghost puppies!!!
Not to mention since the trees are linear, I can't skip the weird mace skills that buff friends? and skip to the ones that actually do things when you hit people with a mace. The ideas are cool and they'd be great coming out of a quest reward or unique weapon, but just passively having them is weird.
What do you guys find the most enjoyable kind of class to play skyrim and it's dlc's with?
What in the Talos' name did you say you little elf? I'll have you know I have graduated top of my class in Two-Handed Sword fighting technique school. I have been involved in numerous battles against your kind. I have over 300 confirmed decapitations. I make necklaces out of your kinds ears and sell it off as mana pool enhancers. You are nothing to me but just another ugly yellow elf. I'll wipe your kind out with the rage of Talos himself like you've never seen before. Mark my fucking shouts. You think you can get away with saying shit like that? Think again, as we speak I am contacting the network of my brave fellow Stormcloak warriors from all over Skyrim, you better prepare for shitstorm Ysgramor himself never seen before. The storm that will wipe out your pathetic island you call Summershit Isles. I can be anywhere on any mountain waiting to get a drop on your tiny health pool ass. Not only I'm extensively trained in Two-Handed Sword combat but I also have access to Heavy Armour and Enchantments like you've never seen before, prepare to watch me withstand everything you throw at me, pathetic worm. I've battled mudcrabs more fearsome than your pathetic kind.
But seriously, health is the only thing worth adding points into. Paired with armour and you practically play on god mode.

Started playing TES3MP and holy shit suddenly I enjoy Morrowind 100% more
"we need to find caius cossades"
"okay well I sold all my clothing for 3 gold so I'll be right back I gotta go steal some more pants"
It's the D&D experience but not done in turns and done as a first-person videogame.
"oh shit we can sell flowers for money"
*we become professional flower pickers to buy armor*

my favourite part of tes3mp was resting. you never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes up to several rowdy boys dressed in black depending on how many times you rest, sometimes worms.
It's very unlikely, but sometimes you'll actually complete the rest and get all your stats back
Is there any way to force skse64 to run on the new skyrim SE patch? I'm terribly impatient :v:
I tried disabling skse and any dependant mods, but my save will crash to desktop any time I enter a loading screen.

That's not really possible, that being said if somebody kept the SkyrimSE.exe from the last supported patch you can temporarily use that until SKSE64 gets updated

How would I keep it from updating? Sever my internet connection while playing?
How would I keep it from updating? Sever my internet connection while playing?
Running the game via SKSE64 should prevent steam from triggering an update.

While this won't help you this time, right click on Properties, go to the update tab and changing the first option from 'Always keep this game up to date' to 'Only update this game when I launch it'.
Then only ever launch the game by using the SKSE64.exe (and wait until the latest patch is supported)

Hey you're in luck a friend of mine had the previous SkyrimSE.exe
Back the current one up and copy-paste this one over it

Awesome! I didn't know skse would block the update like that. Can't believe it's been this long until I realized it, I've been using some version of the script extender since Oblivion.
Thanks!
You know, I was really surprised at how much fun the Special Edition is. I started playing it on a whim since I got it for free by owning the original. It has a decent amount of mods ported over by now, and it runs smoother and looks better than my old skyrim install.

How did I never know this existed?? This is fantastic news
So I've decided that instead of waiting for the pastebin guide to get updated, I'm going to update it myself. Here is the link for it:
