The Elder Scrolls Megathread XX: Might as well be XXX

I started playing Skyrim VR today.
It's like the game was made for VR.
A sword in right hand, a shield on left. Waving them around like a kid. This the the first time I took time to admire my sword. Moving my Move controller to inspect the sword and bloodstain in it makes me realize I'm in it, I'm in Skyrim. Just waving the sword around is enough to make me feel like Aragorn or something. Melee fight really makes use of your movement, you had to raise your shield to make the shield block. You swing the sword past certain speed to make it attack, it can be done at any angle, even thrusting attack is feasible.
Then I tried the bow. The arrow was held in right hand, the bow on the left. Tried poking villagers with the arrow, it seems the pointy arrow cant hurt them. If I move the arrow close enough to the bow, the arrow will be nocked, and I can pull on the bow string. The aiming is perfect, the trajectory is real.
Waiting under the big tree feels real, it really feels like I'm taking a shelter under an actual tree. Waiting for the eagle to pass by, and then sneaking and sniping the eagle with that realistic bow, really satisfying. Unlike just aiming the reticle, you had to aim the actual bow itself, with your actual hand. Should have named my character Legolas
Going around in the world makes me realize all the things that I ignored when playing on flat screen. I picked up coins, stack them.on top each other. I peeked behind a boulder to see if monsters are around. We have to make swimming motion with move controller to swim in water. I went into the river in the first town, and I swear it felt like I'm actually washing myself in real river after a messy day. The clouds swirling around the mountain looks substantial now. Masser and Secunda moon looks like they're really there.
But the best thing is sneaking through the bush, admiring the plants, chasing butterflies. It felt like an authentic adventure.

This was a pretty good review. I'm definitely going to buy Skyrim VR if it gets sex mods. Gotta inspect every dong.

Did movement feel natural, could you play for a long while before feeling sick?
Did you try any other weapons?
Can you sneak attack?
What does navigating the menus feel like, does it feel intrusive?

Movement feels natural, I dont get sick. But if I use 'snap turn' which can be customized to be fast or slow, I get slightly dizzy. But not by much.
I tried melee weapons such as mace, axe, but I didnt find much difference in use between them, yet. We just need to swing them around all the same. Havent try magic.
Yes we can sneak attack. Just hold the triangle button on right Move I think, and the character will crouch, like normal skyrim. During sneaking your eyes will be lower, and move slower.
Navigating menus are alright with Move controller, I didnt have any problem, but there are some inconveniences.
The menu will pop up infron of you, which is in between you and PS Camera. This means if you look backward or to the side, you cant see the menu. Had to turn forward, or just snap turn to your 'true' front to see them properly.
Whats intrusive is the subtitles, and the choice box that appears when you talk to people. They sometimes appears infront of the NPC, covering part of their body. ButI think you can disable subtitles.
The graphic is like PS3, with slight overall blur on PS4 Pro

Tbh, if Schlongs of Skyrim got a support for VR and it would give dongs actual physics so you can interact with them and make them hard by doing that, that'd be pretty dope.
I might be thinking too much into this.

Try some magic. With shock in both hands, you understand Emperor Palpatine's glee at electrifying people. UNLIMITED POWER! (well, as long as you have mana, that is.)

How does the melee combat feel? I'm probably going to pick it up when it comes to the rift anyway, but my biggest worry is hitting things will feel really floaty and disconnected.
Like if you hit something in GORN it feels like it because they react to the hit instantly. Whereas something like Vanishing Realms just felt like I was attacking thin air with my swings which sucked.
I wonder if it will ever work with the Skyrim Together mod. Might be asking for too much.
Just started playing TES3MP with a friend, it's like a childhood dream come true. I hope installing mods won't pose any issues though.
What is still missing
Instead of going through everything that has been added – because there is just so much of it – perhaps it is easier to simply list what is still unfinished, from most important to least important.
Please note that most of these are not particularly difficult to fix, but remain as problems due to lack of time and will be fixed in subsequent versions.
To begin with, most ingame script values are not synchronized across players, and none of them are saved or loaded. As a result, although the vast majority of quests are very playable, there are some quests – especially in the main questline – that will get broken if you leave the server at the wrong time.
Custom spells are not yet implemented. Other players will not see or be affected by the spells you create yourself, and you will completely lose them when you log out of the server.
Similarly to custom spells, potions and enchantments made by players are not yet synchronized and are not saved to the server, and the same goes for soul gems filled with souls.
Spells cast through items are not yet synchronized.
Combat with throwing weapons is not synchronized.
Creating duplicates of items is still possible under certain circumstances.
NPCs do not treat everyone the same. Only the player on whose client their AI is being run will get greeted by them, chased down by guards attempting an arrest, or followed by quest followers.
Quests that require you to kill a number of targets will get broken if you kill the targets and leave the cell they are in before their death animations are finished.
Attacks by non-bipedal creatures are not properly synchronized.
Summoned creatures are very aggressive towards anyone who attacks their summoner. In addition, if the players in an area leave the server before the summoned creatures in that area are unsummoned, then those creatures will become regular NPCs in that area who do not attack on sight, but do not ever get unsummoned.
Leaving the server while equipping bound items turns them into permanent items.
Spell effects and diseases are not saved to or loaded from the server. This means all of them will disappear when you log out and rejoin.
NPC dipositions are not synchronized, saved or loaded, and neither are merchant inventories.
Weather synchronization is not yet implemented.
Loot and creatures never respawn unless the server deletes the cell data for the cells they are in.
Hotkeys and mark spells are not saved to or loaded from the server.
Exploration of the world map is not saved to or loaded from the server.
There may be some issues that I have forgotten, but that's mostly it.
According to the devs, all of this will me implemented in 0.7.0

It feels quite responsive. There are feedbacks when you hit something - the Move controller rumbled, blood spilled, people drop dead immediately, people sometimes staggered, just like in old Skyrim, no more, no less.

I doubt people will enjoy staring at a completely beige screen all the time.
I may have a problem but VR porn sounds like the worst thing ever. I'd install all these boobs, all these boob physics, all these dongs, and all these floppy dong physics, and then I'd go ingame, touch a single bob & vagene and be crushed by the realization of the dumb shit I'm doing.
Rest in anxiety

Well no wonder you would feel dumb, you're only half set up!
What you do next is, first you go out and get yourself a full size mannequin (one that can stand on its own weight)
grab your various sex toys, and attach them to the mannequin by cutting and removing unnecessary parts
Then you dress it however you want
And now as you stand there groping your home-made sex doll in front of an open windows as your parents walk in YOU WON'T FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT :v:
Replaying Skyrim with a new save on legendary difficult.
Pretty much everyone killed me in 1 or 2 hit,or they just do a killmoves as soon they get near.

Some mods like dance of death or others that modify kill moves often give the option to disable kill moves being used on you.
Should be more of fight.
Alternatively play a stealth archer.

My advice would be to keep the difficulty at adept. At legendary you deal I believe like 2x less dmg and everyone else deals 2x more while Adept is the setting that makes all damage 1:1 across the board. If you want the difficulty upped there's plenty of mods that can fill that role.

Yeah,i already installed dance of death, without turning off the enemies kill moves
In past,i already played as sneaky backstabbing archer,i just want to try different style

Usually,i played at Adept difficulty (I think this is equivalent of Normal)
Right now,i increased it at expert when i got some weapon that actually deal a damage
Currently,im trying to find a way to kill Malkoran on Expert (yep, its instant kill when you got hit with his spell)
Probably i just reduce the difficult to kill him
My best way to do melee so far has been to install Wildcat and TK Dodge, enable player staggers, set damage done by both you and enemies to x2 and go nuts. The fights you win are the ones where you rarely get hit. It's vanilla+ so you have to like vanilla to actually get into it.
You definitely need a mod that disables killmoves, atleast for the player, since double damage will make it super easy for the killmoves to trigger.
