Is SKSE out for the Special Edition yet? I want to do another run of Skyrim but I want the 64-bit, more stable version so that it doesn't crash when I pump it full of mods.
I've been using it, and with like my 20 mods I've only gotten 2 crashes in 22 hours which isn't too bad.
Wonder if there's a way to silence npc chat in eso to make it like Morrowind. Ever since playing Morrowind I prefer reading the text instead of listening (it's just faster) but I find the audio distracting from that [editline]4th March 2018[/editline] Like imagine reading a book but while you do so your ears are blasted with someone else reading it at a slower pace
That would be pretty neato, but I'd imagine quite difficult to implement. There is a mod that slows the text appearing on screen, so it's less tempting to skip ahead. I find it helps me when I'm getting frustrated with the actors reading too slowly. I still get annoyed reading lines from the Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood though. His style of speech being maximum dramatic at all times is the worst. Time is money, bodies have got to drop for the dread father. Maybe save all your malicious delight and emphatic pauses for your congratulatory speech rather than painstakingly delivering details and challenges one...by...one.
A spear and halbred skill line a Arcane/Illusion skill line for light buffs and debuffs Pure one handed 'Mobility' skill line If only that would ever happen
I'd like to see them try something else altogether for skill trees. Namely, I'd like to see them work like a mix of Skyrim and Oblivion, where there are fewer broad skill trees, but each of them have individual specialization which are leveled separately. So essentially, you'd have a tree centered entirely around melee combat, which increases whenever you perform direct combat tasks and grants you access to general perks. Then you'd have branching specializations tied to weapon types, which do not require perk investments upon leveling up but instead grant you bonuses as you progress similarly to Oblivion. If the next TES is valenwood it could even be an actual straight up tree visually speaking :v:
No disrespect to anyone who plays ESO whatsoever but as someone who’s been really cynical about it from the start it’s a bit shocking every time i check the thread only to find its the defacto game being played
No disrespect to anyone who plays ESO whatsoever but as someone who’s been really cynical about it from the start it’s a bit shocking every time i check the thread only to find its the defacto game being played
what is left to talk about for every other TES game? except when a major mod comes out, ESO is the only one that has anything happening (also while it's still not incredible, it's a fine game now and TES Legends ensures that it can't be the worst in the franchise) edit: besides deep lore which is complex and vague enough that there'll never be any definitive answers and we could go on about forever, but im understandably the only one who gives a shit v:v:v
Found a book in Fargoth's house. :v:
I had nothing better to do and decided to put my idea in a more defined graphical example and it turned out to just be the way skills/attributes are ordered. So I guess they could literally just take the old attribute/skill system and turn it into a proper skill tree with perk progression and whatnot :v:
I also want unarmed pretty bad
wat about crossbows?
No disrespect to anyone who plays ESO whatsoever but as someone who’s been really cynical about it from the start it’s a bit shocking every time i check the thread only to find its the defacto game being played
ESO has a lot of problems but the combat has enough nuance to actually be fun, that and there is the social experience of it to be not shit at healing particularly there's way more to it than just spamming regen and breath of life Tanks need to actually really take hits rather than just sitting around DPS players that just spam the same attack slow everyone down [editline]5th March 2018[/editline] Meanwhile Morrowinds combat...
wat about crossbows?
I just assumed they wanted that to be a Dawnguard thing. Do they have it in other games? Also there's fighters guild moves that make a crossbow
I just assumed they wanted that to be a Dawnguard thing. Do they have it in other games? Also there's fighters guild moves that make a crossbow
I mean, they are in Morrowind, yes.
Was it DLC I must've missed it
Was it DLC I must've missed it
Well, Morrowind was before DLC so no. It wasn't in the expansions or the free official mods. There's only steel and dwarven crossbows though and they're not very common.

I vaguely remember bolts but I didn't archer at all so
That Forgotten Ruins Quest mod gives you some shout that activates the "The sins of the one affect the many" voice line and the music. (Makes people flee) I had to fully quit the game to stop the music, going to main menu didn't work, or going to a completely different save, just had to quit to stop it.

Is there a 4GB patch for Oldrim or something else like it? I know SE is more stable and can use more memory but SE doesn't have RaceMenu and a number of other SKSE-dependent mods I use. I know ENBoost does something with memory but I've never managed to get that to work.

ENBoost settings also have nothing to do with PP or PreP settings, so if you Skyrim on a potato that shouldn't matter. Just dl the .319 binaries from boris and then pick your poison from the nexus or ll or tumblr or flickr or where the hell you want (or don't) your enb from.
So, Dragonborn for Smash? or is the lusty argonian maid more iconic to the long-running series?
Is there a 4GB patch for Oldrim or something else like it? I know ENBoost does something with memory but I've never managed to get that to work.
The newer versions of ENB have a "better" (more up to date) version of ENBoost configured, like 27x said. You can combine that with SKSE's memory patch (super-lazy preconfigured ini here:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038/) to eliminate 99% of memory-related issues. This doesn't increase the amount of memory that the game can use, but helps prevent crashes caused by Bethbryo's unique memory allocation system. If you want to make extra sure that you won't have issues, download Crash Fixes(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725) & its SKSE Plugin Preloader companion file(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75795), then set UseOSAllocators to "1" in CrashFixesPlugin.ini you'll find somewhere in your Data directory. This outright eliminates the Bethesda/Gamebryo memory allocation system in favor of the one used by basically every other Windows program ever.
