I can't find anywhere to access the codes. The one thing which directs me to the codes leads to an infinite loop where it asks me to log in but takes me directly back to the log in page.
Didn't work for me either. But I tried this link instead and it worked http://ghost-recon.ubisoft.com/wildlands/en-GB/home/index.aspx

I can log in to the website. It's just the page for the codes keeps sending me to a log in page. I've seen on the Ubisoft forum that other can't get through either, and those who can can't see the Invite Friends option any more.

You do have access to the beta right? If so, try logging on to this https://account.ubisoft.com/en-GB/login then going to beta access
Yes I have access to the beta. I already finished the main missions and cleared the enemy camps. It's just Ubisoft's website being shit. Half the news link give me an error 400.

I managed to get support to help me on the issue with the invites. They gave me this link http://ghost-recon.ubisoft.com/wildlands/en-GB/beta/index.aspx?Lang=en-GB#tcm154268418-3 and I was able to send out invites after logging in.
Not sure if that link is user specific though
Fun Fact.
This is running not on the engine The Division runs on, but the engine Assassin's Creed Unity runs on.
That explains a lot
My fucking god.
Strongly considering to avoid this.

Nah, just sends me to the infinite login loop.
I like how people are judging the complete package of a game based solely on the starting area of a test build while ignoring the fact there are 20 other regions to go through in the final game. Y'all are silly. Think about any other starting area of a game you played. Was that section enough to judge the game as a whole?

While game engines are important and power the content we experience, I'd argue what is more important is how the developers use it and the game they create.
I can understand having a fear due to AC:U being a complete shit-show but I don't think that should be put onto Wildlands and its development team for AC:U's fuck ups.
It is common for developers to reuse technology and modify/upgrade it as they go.
AC:U's engine is no doubt the same engine they've used for tons of previous games.
I see no reason to panic unless you had specific PC problems related to this game engine.

The engine is AnvilNext 2.0, which was used in AC Unity, AC Syndicate, R6 Siege, Steep, and For Honor. AFAIK only Unity had significant performance issues of the lot.

Well its what Ubisoft decided to put up for people to play, it's no secret that many betas tend to be glorified demos theses days, especially Ubisoft ones. if somebody plays a game and its shit, they can't be expected to go against the evidence they've been given.

Yeah, it's what they put up for people with the fifty million "THIS IS A BETA AND NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FINAL GAME" messages everywhere. There's a reason why those are always there.
I see a lot of people complaining about the game here but I actually had fun playing it which is good enough for me in a game I'm playing. I've experienced no performance issues and the game mostly worked fine. there was roughly 200+ ping between me and my friend when we were playing together yet I didn't notice throughout the entire 2 - 3 hours we played any lag or stuttering whatsoever.
Regardless, I was still hoping for better ways to actually approach a situation, so far it seems you only got stealth, or frontal assault and frontal assault seems to be the fastest and most efficient way to deal with this, stealth is kinda long and seems to be more prone to screw up so it's not really rewarding as the AI besides taking cover is pretty stupid.

It doesn't really feel like a demo. It's hanky as hell, there are tons of bugs, and the AI is so bad it feels like it's underdeveloped or bugged. I wouldn't be surprised if the build is an old version. That's not usually uncommon.
The engine is AnvilNext 2.0, which was used in R6 Siege
Huh... Okay, still will wait for the post-release reviews then.
I was really prepared to like this game despite the thread but yeah... it's pretty bad
there's a good game in here somewhere, but literally every single aspect of the game is broken. and unfortunately a lot of these issues can't just be blamed on beta buggyness: whoever designed the driving controls on PC should be shot, it's not just bugs or sensitivity issues, the way both cars and helis work is nonsensical
another huge issue is that the AI is utter shit: you really don't feel like you can outsmart or use clever doses of stealth like you should, either you pick off enemies one by one, or the entire base is alerted to you and it becomes a time crisis-esc shooting gallery. AI squadmates are reasonably effective but extremely bland and the squad commander aspect is so shallow and pointless it basically ruins the entire singleplayer experience
coop is much better, but the game just seems bizarrely setup for it? it doesn't feel like a proper drop in/out experience like the division, because the world is structured so heavily around the current campaign state. since you're unlikely to get matched with people with the exact same world progress, you're forced to either replay missions or just repeat boring randomised tasks. unlike the division where it's focused more on replayable 'dungeons'

Yeah, true. AI is pants on head retarded. There's no middle grounds with it and even Ghost difficulty where they basically two shot you isn't enough to make up for it.
Anyone have an extra key? Either XB1 or PC.

Which doesn't really mean shit when the game is one, 1, month from being released
Which doesn't really mean shit when the game is one, 1, month from being released
Yeah, the full game. Not the beta.
You guys are unbelievably silly.
"The AI is retarded even on the hardest difficulty ."
It's the starting area... In a more than likely old and buggy build.
"The missions were underwhelming."
It's the starting area... In a game with 21 regions and varying difficulties.
"The game is janky."
It's a beta. It's bound to have problems.
"The enemies can all be killed in one shot."
Have you even /seen/ the Unidad troopers? They wear heavy armor and can only be easily killed by a shot to the head. No shit shooting a bunch of armorless goons is going to be easy.

The amount of jank in this game can't be fixed within a month. And if it is an old and unfinished build then that means the beta is literally just there to act as a demo and drum up hype because gathering bug reports on a build that old is literally pointless. Even the base gameplay just feels sticky and weird, and don't even get me started on how the helicopters control.

A beta this close to release is most certainly not going to be about gathering bug reports, it's way too late for them to be doing that now. It's more than likely that it's just them checking how the game servers hold up and maybe trying to roughly estimate how many players they're going to have at launch.
Beta is just the new name for Demo

Gathering bug reports on an old build is not useless. The beta build for Battlefield 1 was very old and that turned out great. It's not uncommon for devs to use old builds for closed betas. It's clear a lot of you don't know how game development works but perhaps you shouldn't act like you do if you don't, eh?
I didnt encounter too many bugs but performance is way worse than it should be. I didn't expect perfection but a computer that runs Witcher 3 and Battlefield 1 at 60 fps on med-high settings shouldn't be struggling to run this at lowest.
How is anyone supposed to hit anything with the helicopter??
How is anyone supposed to hit anything with the helicopter??
Even with a 360 controller its really hard to keep guns on target. Dunno why they just didn't copy Battlefield in this regard

4 weeks is more than enough time to polish any minor bugs. Hell, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's final polish was going to be run through in only 2 weeks before but the publisher demanded they implement that microtransaction system. Wildlands' jankiness is the result of some issues with the physics and animations which can easily be ironed out in 4 weeks time. They probably also wanted to see if there were any more bigger bugs that can't be captured in small QA tests and those can be fixed in a month too.
Seems like your typical Ubisoft Open World game to me and nothing else. Looks like something i'd buy on the cheap once the last bit of dlc for the season pass appears. Plus just looking at the map, it looks too big.
I'll try the beta again when i have a chance, i tried yesterday but i just generally wasnt in the mood. Having this cold of mine doesn't help. I'll admit i didn't give it much of a chance but it's obviously using the Ubisoft rule book that i can't help but feel i've done this before.
