Ghost Recon : Wildlands V1 - Some are Soldiers, We are Ghosts.

Game is fun but, it runs like ass randomly at times and the stuttering, good lord the stuttering (got the game installed on a new SSD and it still stutters when loading areas in and autosaving) and I don't seem to get any major change outside of 5 to 6 frames when changing graphical settings.
I'm guessing this game is pretty CPU heavy?
I'm not sure if it's just me, as I've got a i5, along with a gtx1070. What's worse is that the stuttering is more frequent and framerate issues are worse for me with the release version than they were in open beta, in open beta I was managing 60+ frames with the occassional stutter, now I only get between 48 to 55 usually and frequent stutters when I see the autosave icon pop-up in the release version.
On the plus side, cars do feel alot more responsive and less janky than they were in open beta.
i5 and 1070 here and getting the same thing. It is incredibly hard on CPU's. Hopefully it's something they fix at some point.
Having an absolute blast outside of those hitches though. We cleared about half of Koani before calling it a night. There are some really cool outposts and cities to fight over.
is there a Facepunch Task Force?
Not yet, but someone should definitely make one.

Public for now, I'll make it private/request only if people want. Also open to suggestions for the "motto" and group description (clan tag had to be >2 chars so I used FaP instead of FP).
My performance seems to have gotten worse from the open beta to release. I feel like even on ultra, at 2k resolution I shouldn't be struggling to get 50 FPS with an overclocked 1070 and an i7 4770k.
Are there a few particular settings that are major resource hogs, or is this just a case of Ubisoft new release performance?

I have a slightly older setup (i5-3570k, GTX 970, 16GB RAM) and I barely got it to 40FPS on medium or high at 2k.
The performance issues are probably still present so there's no reason to bother for me.
I'm honestly glad the Open Beta was a thing, it filters out the dick weeds from the people who actually like the game, so we don't have a shit load of people just whining about Uplay and shit that doesn't even matter.
From the beta I knew what weapons and mods I wanted first (Stoner SR25, H&K MP7, H&K P12). So at launch as soon as the game was up I grabbed the nearby jeep and hauled ass down to grab the helicopter at the rebel airfield and set out on my grand adventure to get shit fast. I immediately went straight for that SR25, which was the best idea because holy shit it just fucking ruins the lives of everyone unfortunate enough to be occupying whatever post I happen to be raiding. Then I worked my way up around, got the MP7 and P12, then worked around to grab the bulk of the mods I wanted.
I haven't done a damn thing for the story, and only did one rebel activity just because the guy happened to be next to me when grabbing a weapon mod.
I'll actually play seriously when I'm home from classes but it was stupidly fun just rushing through bases like a lunatic to grab a weapon, then immediately fucking off in to the sunset leaving behind very confused Santa Blanca troops.

Its funny how it worked out for me and my friend. I wanted Boston Reed's aviators, he wanted the Mk14 and best sniper rifle scope. So we finished Itacua and just flew the helicopter straight towards Koani :v:
Just get that MSR and you're good for sniping. :D
Kinda disappointing that the cool M17 mask is part of a day 1 micro transaction pack.

woops, didn't realize a public group still used an invitation system. added you and Raidyr
Can anyone with an AMD card can either confirm or deny that they're getting better performance than they did during open beta?
I've been considering buying this game for a long time but the horrible performance that I had (i5 6600 & RX480 NITRO+ 8GB) really killed it for me so I'd be grateful if someone could make a comment on that.
Am I the only one having this problem? Because after sitting through a ten-minute loading screen and a twenty-minute unpack, I started the game, got a helicopter, and immediately went after a proper sniper rifle scope. Only I found that something was horribly wrong. The game, as if having trouble streaming the areas I flew into, would freeze my helicopter in the air for as much as thirty seconds at a time, effectively pausing the game (Though I could still move my camera) and only let me go again once it had loaded more of the area I was flying into. Pretty unacceptable for a launch, imo.
My specs are as follows: Core i7 4820k (3.7GHz), EVGA GTX 780 SC, ASUS PX979 LE motherboard, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Win 10 64 bit.
I mean, yeah, my computer's a bit old, but should still be able to run the game at an acceptable level without that nonsense :/

My friends were complaining about these long load times in the beta, and I didn't experience them with a i5 3570k 8 gigs of ram and a gtx 770 (2gig), but now I am.
Also I experienced that streaming issue you talked about while in the beta(but someone with an even worse computer didn't experience it at all, in-fact it was so bad in the beta that it would disconnect me from the online game.), I didn't even get to try it yet as my overall performance is much worse than it was in the beta.

Sent a request also.
Sent one too; too bad the game seems to be having issues on launch day >_>
So far the game feels a bit better than the beta. The performance is still kind of all over the place, but the difficulty feels a lot better, and cars handle better as well.

Aw yeah, got it for $48 bucks, looks interesting enough to try.

oh, well, I guess here is fine too.
Also the camera controls for passengers is rather obnoxious
Got the game free with my 1080 strix. Only played an hour or so but pretty good so far. And my rig runs it at 50-60 fps at high/max at 4k so that's a nice bonus.
I7 7700k 4.2ghz Base clock (4.6 According to various HW monitors for OC)
1080 Strix 8gb
16gb ram ddr4 3000mhz
1tb PCI-E Intel M.2 Drive.
Plan to play some more after work today.
Random question. Anyone been getting random crashes to desktop. Mate of mine bought the game in hopes we could play. Sadly it crashes for him.
"I get the splashscreen and then it boots up and there's the black screen with some logo on it and then it just crashes to desktop and uplay comes up with the game crashes would you like to send a report."
Is his exact words on the issue.
He has updated drivers reinstalled game and uplay. Verified files, launched exe as admin. Tried launching through steam, through uplay etc and all leads to the same issue.
One of the achievement images on the XB1 has a mouse cursor on it :v:
I was surprised to see that this game got a Very Positive rating on Steam considering it was made by Ubisoft so I thought maybe I'd get it. Is the game any fun if you're alone? I might get a friend to buy it so I can play with him. Also, should I wait for a sale or not?
I've been playing alone for now, and been having a good time. I recommend cranking up the difficulty to at least advanced so that your omnipotent AI drone followers don't make it a cakewalk.

It's because everyone who hated it played during the beta and didn't buy it. It's decently fun but absurdly janky for an AAA title, you should look at some gameplay to decide for yourself.
My suggestion is to wait for a sale and get a friend to buy it with you
Aside from two major bugs I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The problem is that bugs involve either not being able to use the drone and binoculars at all, or explosives just outright now working (underslung grenades just impact like slug rounds then drop and maybe detonate ten to 20 seconds later, and C4 likes to just not detonate and sit there, maybe exploding up to a minute later).

also AI squadmates refusing to shoot at enemies (even when they're being shot and I give the Fire/Assault command), and the EMP drone sometimes doesn't disable vehicles

I think the grenade launcher rounds not exploding is supposed to be simulating arming distance and they set it like four times too high or something. At extreme ranges they always seem to explode instantly for me.

Nah, cause they can explode at any range, even on targets right in front of you. There are just some times they won't explode until after a massive delay. Like, I fired off five rounds earlier while it was happening back to back. Over two minutes later while still in the area they all suddenly started going off.
