The link you posted on the front page goes to the reddit page for GRW though

I sort of wonder if there might be a ham-handed meta-commentary about American Interventionism here.
Judging by the stuff I've heard during Beta with the teammate banter, I pretty much thought that was the case.
Man this game is so slow to play if you don't have it on a SSD. Blew away my unused Linux install and stuck Wildlands on the SSD, now I don't have to wait 5 minutes for my character to load.
On another note, I have the day off from work, so if anyone wants a co-op buddy...
First PC patch is out: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1603826-PC-Update-1-1-5-Announcement
I'm probably gonna wait a year before buying it, since the division took a year to get from "mediocre" to "good"
I'm probably gonna wait a year before buying it, since the division took a year to get from "mediocre" to "good"
It was the exact opposite for me. Division started great for me, then went to complete shit after launch, with a minor boost from the subway system stuff.
They're also pretty different games beyond being open world third person shooters.
I might be the only guy on the planet who uses SLI, but to anybody who gets performance issues with it, it seems "Turf Effects" is the main culprit. At least for me, it just appears to be incompatible with sli; just causes massive stuttering and frame drops.

Have they added any additional customization options since the open beta?
I'm not going to buy the game yet but I need my fix
I wish they'd specify more what weapons a certain attachment applies to when you get it. I found a 7.62 sniper rifle extended magazine but it apparently wasn't the one for the 7.62 sniper rifle I already had.

You gotta look at the round type. The game has a SVD, which uses 7.62x54r, and the m14 ebr which uses 7.62x51.

Apart from the Ubisoft club rewards and mini-buy packs (which are mostly not very good and not at all worth the money anyway) no.
I hope they continue to tweak the squad AI as they go. I can understand not wanting them to be too powerful, since they were kind of aimbot-ish in the beta, but right now they're inconsistent. Sometimes they're helpful, sometimes they have this weird delay on everything they do that means you get shot because they're not supporting you.
They love to mill around way too far away from you, too. Yeah, you can tell them to regroup, but sometimes they wander off so far it takes too long for them to get back to actually help. The squad commands in general could use some more depth, since right now they occupy a weird spot of being too simple and too complex (why even have some of these commands when they're not helpful?).
Is night time in the game actually dark? Some videos it looks pitch black others it looks kinda light

Depends on weather/where you are.

I wish they added an option to turn off the squad once in a while. I was doing that mission in P.N. De Agua Verde where you have to sneak into the complex and plant some bugs.
I was doing great sneaking, but one of the Ghosts ran right through the front door and past two dudes and I immediately failed the mission.
They're just kind of a hindrance sometimes, thank God when you play co-op the rest of the squad isn't AI.
It's weird how this game has a ton of mechanics that would fit right in a super hardcore stealth game that haven't really been in many stealth games, if any, like having some weapons be impossible to make completely silent and nearby enemies being able to hear a body fall, but then it's all wrapped in a really weirdly arcade-y package. It kinda feels like the devs weren't quite sure if they wanted to make a very arcade-y and kinda casual stealth shooter or a really hardcore difficult stealth game and so ended up just mixing together a bunch of stuff from both.
I'm just curious does the full game run any better than the beta as I played the beta but it ran like crap for some reason
I get stutters when driving vehicles still but for the most part it runs better.

Yeah, that's what I meant. There are some systems in the game that are weirdly complex, and then other things that are super dumbed down, leading to an inconsistent experience.

There's also the fact that AI greatly reacts to people lying low in semi-tall grass, which surprised me how I barely, but managed to crawl my way through a patrol Modern Warfare "All Ghilled Up" style.

Can't speak for everyone, but I also experienced really bad performance during the closed beta, and slightly better performance on the open beta. On full release now and I'm getting a mostly stable 65fps+ on very high settings + textures on ultra, with the worst dips at 50fps during really intense sections. There's some weird stuttering as others mentioned, and most people seem to say it's connected to the autosave feature of the game and textures not loading sometimes. There was a recent patch just about a few days ago and that seemed to have remedied it but still shows up once in a while. Overall though it's definitely way better for me than it was during beta.
Also have mostly NVIDIA stuff turned off, like Turf effects which have fancy physically simulated grass, which tanks performance quite a bit.
What I've noticed, and seems to cause a lot of problems, is basically the game is awful about actually loading in content. I mean, I'm sure plenty of people have come up to a base to find it entirely depopulated then slowly be filled by enemies one or two at a time, or flown up to ambush a convoy only to find a marker moving along the road with no vehicles, then eventually the main vehicles loads and slowly the escorts and then finally their actual occupants.
I noticed before the patch that, when flying around in to an area I hadn't visited since starting the game, if I was going fast enough the game would stop me every few second and freeze everything by the camera controls until it had loaded some assets, which I could often see visibly popping in. It would repeated this every few seconds for sometimes near a minute, and usually the whole issue could last five minutes or so. Boyfriend had a couple of similar issues during the beta.
with the skill of car shield how is it applied? the person who drives the car or is an average taken?

I have no idea what my settings are actually at because I just leave it at default, but it looks pretty damn good and runs buttery smooth for me.
Running a GTX 970 and an i7-4770. I put the game on a SSD and not a plain platter drive and it made a huge difference.

I'm running a GTX 970, i5-4690k I installed it on a normal harddrive as I only had like 27gig left on my ssd, maybe I should transfer it to that, well I'll see how the game runs first as I bought it last night and downloaded it over night
[editline]15th March 2017[/editline]
plays at about 50-60 fps sometimes goes to about 49 for random reasons but plays pretty smooth so far
I've been playing with myself most if yesterday just getting used to the game so if anyone would like to play at any point let me know
A friend of mine is having big issues with the audio in the game. After about 20 minutes of play it begins to get really distorted until it is horrible scratching noises, and they've found no way of fixing it.
Aparently it sounds similar to this [audio warning i am not kidding]
Anyone have any fix they'd suggest?
Doing a radio defense rebel mission and I shot a pilot out of a helicopter, which was sick, right up until the helicopter crash landed into the radio, killing it from 100% instantly :suicide:
Anyone else disappointed by the lack of vehicle variety? I assumed the numbers would be padded out with trucks and sedans but only 3 helicopters, two planes, and one tank is a real shame.
