Ghost Recon : Wildlands V1 - Some are Soldiers, We are Ghosts. - Games

I've been playing Ghost War PvP recently. What can i say about it. It is fun. But no idea how long that pvp mode will lasts. just saw there was like 400 players online at the moment. Also when you just got started in a round i already get shot by enemy players that are snipers. And i think pretty lame to be honest. So there are some balance issues there. Also thermal vision feels really uhh kinda cheating. You just can see everyone with it and hiding in bushes wont help for you. And as a recruit like me there is no way i can escape from it. There are also moments i get shot from out of nowhere, like how could they see me and stuff, and i wasn't even spotted at the moment too. So this kept thinking me that it is probably the thermal vision doing it. I don't have that thermal vision since i am lvl 5, and you need lvl 7 to unlock it. Probably is going to be patch later on too to fix the thermal vision. It seems that the whole community behind it are talking about it.

I have come to the conclusion that the HTI and SR3M are the best weapons. SR3 should be low velocity and low accuracy but [i]noooo[/i]

I'd care about balance in a multiplayer game but in a singleplayer/co-op game based on romping aboot, it doesn't matter to me

So if anyone missed out on the announcement, there's a Predator event going on in GR Wildlands right now. Yes, [I]that[/I] Predator. What all do you get when you kill predator?

There's also two tattoo rewards for the community and taskforce challenges. In traditional Ubisoft fashion all of the good gear shown at the end of that trailer is bought with $$$. The fight is pretty neat (and free) though.

I co-oped with another person and we weren't able to kill the predator how much fucking health does it have

A bit off topic but, seeing that makes me remember how fun the pvp in the AvP 2010 game was. How's the predator class for pvp in GR though?

This just makes me want to play as Predator and invade people's games.

This just reinforces my desire to have Ubisoft make a Far Cry game where you play as the Predator. It sucks that this is a limited-time thing, but the fact that the mission is free almost makes up for it. I'm reinstalling the game right now just so I can play it.

You can still do the Yeti hunt stuff and I believe the El Tio hunt too even when those events aren't running, you just don't get the event rewards is all.

Well, I hope that's the case, but I'm redownloading the game right now anyways to play it just in case. Besides, I love the Predator, I can't pass up an opportunity to do some Predator-related things.

Just played the Predator mission. It's possible to do it solo but you have to cheese it a bit. Sad they locked most of the gear behind microtransactions. But it's a nice little movie recreation, the location fits the jungle from the movie and the music is great. I wonder if you could make a whole game out of the experience. That reminds me I haven't played the latest AVP.

I was able to do it by calling in rebel backup and rebel diversion before actually going into the yellow circle you fight the Predator in. Still took me a couple of tries. I even managed to almost beat him but [sp]I couldn't outrun his self destruct in time[/sp]. Word to the wise, he gets super-aggressive when his health is low. It's better to have the rebels with you so he has more targets that aren't you. Also, when you have to [sp]outrun the self destruct[/sp], keep running even after you leave the yellow circle on the minimap. the [sp]blast[/sp] will still reach just a bit beyond it. I don't know if I actually needed to use spoiler tags for the fact that [sp]he blows himself up after losing just like in the movies[/sp], but it's worth tagging anyways just to keep the surprise fresh. Also, I did cave in and buy the Predator equipment pack. I love the Predator too much to pass up being able to wield his wrist-blades. They're actually viable as a melee weapon, too!

Is the predator event over now. Just for the 14th? I tried looking for it but I had no idea where to find it. Led me to try ghost war out. Just want to throw out there that it is absolute bullshit how all of like 5 games I'm sub level 5 with everyone else and on the other team is full of prestige. Tell me how fucking fair that is when there's mortars and scout drones flying everywhere absolutely slaughtering my team. I'm always last alive with everyone to take care of

Why are the packs so damn expensive for this game? I just want that sweet, sweet M16 from the predator pack, not all those outfits and such!

Ubisoft really should make a Predator: Isolation this is a surprisingly tense mission.

BTW if you want an easy strategy on how to fight the predator, here it is: Somebody mentioned it, before you enter the fight zone (yellow cirlce) call in rebel back-up so Predator has more targets. Once the fight starts find yourself a nice thick tree, not too thick so you can easily run around it. It's not 100% safe but it gives you the cover you need. One good tree is near the ammo box. You can get couple of shots on the Predator when: he appears to shout, taunts you while invisible, run around invisible and when he tries to shoot you or your teammates. You can only get couple of shots, then he completely vanishes and appears elsewhere. And yes, once he's really hurt he starts to appear more often to try and shoot you so know where your cover is.

Do you get anything for beating him? It was unclear as to whether you get unlocks for beating the mission, or have to just buy the Predator pack.

I feel like they should have kept this whole Predator thing under wraps and just let it surprise players. Imagine doing a normal mission with your buddies, then all of a sudden Predator comes out of nowhere, rips a guy's head off and runs off into the jungle. I feel like that would've caused a lot more buzz than simply announcing a Predator event.

Also, I found a way to cheese it pretty effectively: Bring a high rate-of-fire assault rifle (M4 or FAMAS) with 50 round magazine and 40mm underbarrel. Stand on top of the big rock next to the ammo crate so you got a clear view of everything. When he's cloak-running, spam your rifle in his general direction for a couple good hits; when he's uncloaked to taunt or shoot, hit him in the dick with a 40mm, instantly making him stop what he's doing and retreat.

this probably [I]IS[/I] a test-run/feeler for a future ubisoft predator title Licensing fees and royalties for big franchises and what not are way too expensive for a company to just give out a little freebie "hey isnt this cool!" mission in their game. So, I would not at all be surprised to see Ubisoft release news about a predator title in the near future. Furthermore I bet it will coincide with the release/promotion of the new Predator film.
