No offense but I think you're expecting a tar much from a Ghost Recon game. As much as I love realistic weapon handling there's not really any good way or pulling it off in games (not even ArmA, IMHO).
My problem isn't really that the weapon handling isn't realistic enough. It's that Wildland doesn't really force its players to make any kinds of tactical decisions regarding equipment selection. It's so much of a problem to the game even that the SMG's have no other point than being a cosmetic choice when you don't want your operator to carry an absurd amount of gear. Due to the lack of weight an length considerations in game, the SMG's are just assault rifles with worse range and damage, not to mention that they even feel like they have more recoil than assault rifles. Tactical kit selection being omitted in favor of a linear leveling system that makes no sense and frankly doesn't fit Ghost Recon. All for a design philosophy of "lol, do whatever you want" In the end the campaign my first character turned into some kind of War Monster that lugs around 65 kg, just in combat equipment without taking into consideration the other essentials.
The littlest sicario with the longest clip.
Unless he's actually over 2 meters tall and that's an upscale'd Mac-11 made to fire .50AE
There's some great concept art for UNIDAD on Artstation tho. It's too bad they sacked idea of steroid-fueled beret-wearing murderhobo-operators with facepaint in favor of them looking like meth'd up riot police.
Buddy of mine went to Paladin Nine Security
Truly amazing when you get interrupted mid sentence when communicating with your team mates to hear the long ass dick sucking monologue. Wish they would have made the Ghosts nearly mutes, at least in during gameplay, in the very fucking least during co-op.
No one expects Canadians https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/80d9007f-e604-4494-8691-5d92825706f0/460930_20180804141446_1.png
I turned off subtitles and set the voices volume to 0 so I don't have to be subjected to the terrible dialogue in this game.
Is any of the Dlc or stuff on the store worth buying? I would totally play the crap out of pvp if they gave you battle crates but apparently they don't.
Midas, what you doing? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/c202afd6-ee61-482f-9f4a-677729b41719/image.png
>Be me >Cartel gunman >One month away from promotion >Guarding secret lab out in buttfuck nowhere >Get stabbed by Canadian SOF wielding icepicks >"Sorry"
Welp. Died on Ghost War, when I was nearly done with Security. Now I have no motivation to try again.
The dialogue doesn't bother me that much (yet), but the radio, man its terrible. Repetitive (THERE ARE WOMEN OUT THERE...), DJ Perico is fucking annoying, and even the music is trash for the most part. Wish we could have our own tunes, like in GTA. Also this shot turned out pretty nice. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1195/89c6bc46-d283-4ee8-bda4-81b68ba12731/Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Super-Resolution 2018.08.02 - 19.39.25.47.jpg
There's an option in the audio settings to turn off just the radio sounds. It annoyed people so much that they added that option in like the first or second patch because people kept complaining about it.
You mean just the dialogue Perici does? Because I don't mind the music.
No, it mutes the radios entirely.
Ah, would've wanted just the music. Also the only dialogue on the radio I can't stand is everything El Cardinal says because his voice sounds so forced and overly raspy IMO.
Can we get people to complain about the auto-cover system and auto-shoulder swapping nonsense? Fighting for control of my character and camera is not my idea of fun in any video game.
quite enjoying ghost mode, probably helps i only did minimal completion my first play through i was wondering what exactly happens on death do i keep my campaign progress and lose the character progress or lose everything? i wanted to try and unlock the LVOA but not at the risk of losing my campaign, also is the exoskeleton just cosmetic?
The lack of manual only shoulder swapping baffled the shit out of me at release. And in two years people haven't complained enough to get it fixed. Was disappointed too that wasn't an option for an 'old school' third person camera.
If you dismantle one pillar completely (buchons, underboss and boss) you have to do it again if you did because you'll already earned the reward from it. Say, you dismantle security. Got the exo shoes checked. Then you die. When you make a new character you don't have to finish off security again because you already have the shoes BUT you could do it to get the prestige points again. And yes, as far as I know it's entirely cosmetic.
From what i can tell prestige points can only be earned once. Don't know if the same goes for Tier mode though.
Quick question, is there any difference in playing, let's say on advanced difficulty in regular and in Tier One mode? Because as far as I could find out there shouldn't be, but I swear enemies are way deadlier (especially when it comes to detection).
There is. Tier One is harder overall for all difficulties. Enemies are quicker to react, take more damage (which gives upgrading weapons a purpose really), are more accurate and spot you faster in Tier One mode. When you get to about tier 50 they basically turn into insta-kill laser turrets that down you the second they become alerted, which is usually about a nanosecond after they see a leaf move because you farted on it.

Tier One mode basically turns the game into a sniper-rifle based puzzle game of shooting guards without other guards noticing, since any shithead with double-uzis can murder you from literally 200 meters away in half a second.
this shit and how bullshit the mission is made me stop playing the game
It was funny that Earlier this year I started getting back on playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and got inspired to practice doing Sam Fisher impressions. Boy did it come handy when Operation Watchman bumbled onto the scene and now I can trigger the shit out of my buddies.
is wildlands limited to 120 fps?
