Ghost Recon : Wildlands V1 - Some are Soldiers, We are Ghosts.

How long is this running for? I'm working away atm, but got a code.
Guessing from the posts above I'd be better off hoping into it on console
That bad, huh? I'd like to confirm for myself but I still can't even log in to Ubisoft's website. Still, this kinda bites.

I think it's fine. Nothing super groundbreaking or anything but if it's kinda just modern Ghost Recon mixed with Far Cry 3/4. So if you liked those games you'll like this. Hopefully all the optimization is fixed for actual release.
Am I the only one who hasn't been experiencing any issues with the beta? I played the tech test and IKD about you other TT folks but I can see plenty of differences (better optimized, no random disconnecting, no teleporting NPCs and vehicles, etc.).
Also it appears that I'm one of the few people here who actually enjoy the driving. :v:

I honestly loved Far Cry 3, liked 4 even though it was more of the same, and Primal actually blew away my expectations. If you're right, this game still isn't a day-one purchase, but I'll gladly get it on sale or if I get a Steam gift card.
The driving sounds like it's only fucked up on consoles with messed up sensitivity, on PC it's absolutely fine. You can make perfect turns going pretty fast with zero issues.
Framerate is crap as hell, first time I've ever had that issue with this rig. I'm above the recommended specs.
Other than that the game seems decently enjoyable. It's pretty much like every other open world Ubisoft game, 'cept in a new dress.

I have no performance issues. I had a few issues with NPCs spotting me through walls which is a serious problem considering I want to play this stealthily. I also got shot through a concrete wall at one point while in soft cover. I'm not sure if this was bullet pen or if you don't get directional invulnerability in cover, but it didn't feel right.
There was also a mission I did where I was inside a base which had a closed gate as the only obvious entry point, and AI reinforcements all started running up against it and couldn't get in.
That all said I'm enjoying the gameplay a lot.

Nah its shit on PC. You do nothing but swerve at the slightest tap of A or D from what I've seen. This is my driving pattern in this game for a straight line:
W (Hold)
ADADADADADADADADADADADA
The game runs perfectly for me using all high settings and no motion blur. The biggest issue is the awful helicopter controls (why does pitching back raise you up while pitching forward lowers you?), and that the cars seem to have no weight. And the AI team mates are completely useless, which is pretty shit for a Ghost Recon game.
The only bug I've encountered is I can't get any intel. If I try to use a laptop, talk to an informant, interrogate a soldier, or photograph documents the animation starts and does a short loop forever unless I interrupt it.

No you don't. It's not like that at all.
Every time I try and do a convoy sidemission it removes me for being outside the 'area of operations' whenever I get close to the thing
Every time I try and do a convoy sidemission it removes me for being outside the 'area of operations' whenever I get close to the thing
Yeah that one convoy is pretty bullshit, half of its path seems to be outside the beta area.
Bikes on PC are stupid.
Besides the performance issues, and some wonky driving, it's okay. It's The Division but in an open rural world without the MMO Health/Damage
The sound design is REALLY weird though. Grenades only have an echo sound effect, no thumpy Boom. The FN45 pistol is like some weird rough stand-in. Really weird. Ubisoft usually has such great sound design. I think Raven Shield is their best work and they've just slowly fell into a spot just under that, but this time it takes a massive fall
Also I wish they'd have moved around some of the weapon and attachment pickups into the beta area, right now you can't even get 30 round magazines for ARs since that pickup is outside the beta area.
So what I'm getting from this is that I shouldn't be bummed that I didn't get into the beta
That's a damn shame, I was really looking forward to this.
Anyone got a spare invite? Got a friend that for some reason isn't receiving any invites even though I've sent him it twice and someone else sent him, he wants to try it on a brand new uplay account.
No you don't. It's not like that at all.
I'm sorry but you don't have to tell me what it is or isn't like - I've played the game.
I have no reason to make shit up, I'm enjoying this game and don't want it to sound shit.

And to prove it : I want more people to play - including your friend! Send me his uplay username.

This is a shame to hear, because you're right that Ubisoft usually does fantastic sound. Even Siege was awesome with the footsteps and such. Hopefully they're just placeholder sounds.
I got into the beta, I'm still holding out hope that it's good (stuck at work all day)
Hopefully it's at least decent enough when playing with some friends.
If anyone has an extra key shoot me a PM
If anyone has an extra key shoot me a PM
Me too please
I had to stop playing after the first hour because the microstuttering was starting to give me a headache
so
is it any good
ubisoft better not have fucked this one up too
i've been waiting for a good sandbox military shooter since fucking Mercenaries 2 (which was glitchy and unpolished as fuck but still one of the most fun games i've ever played)
This beta really doesn't have a lot in it. There's 6 really short story missions, a couple of side missions and a few pickups. You can pretty much get all there is to get in like a couple of hours.
Fun Fact.
This is running not on the engine The Division runs on, but the engine Assassin's Creed Unity runs on.
That explains a lot
I sat and made my character, played a little bit, and the entire time I just felt like I would be having more fun just playing MGSV
The way I made my character look didn't help with that :v:

My friend keeps getting NAT OFFLINE
any suggestions?

Are you able to apply that pattern to specific parts of the gun or does it just apply to the whole thing?
Is that CADPAT?
Are you able to apply that pattern to specific parts of the gun or does it just apply to the whole thing?
All the paintjobs cover the whole gun from what I saw.

Not 100% sure but if you apply the second color on the individual parts I think they will be without camo. Don't quote me on that though.
Is that CADPAT?
Yes, CADPAT is in the game.

[sp]The rebels designs are slowly growing on me, although I don't think I'll ever be able to take them 100% seriously.[/sp]
