Rein would probably be less mandatory if Blizzard's map design wasn't so garbage. Even then he is still the only hero that is an actual tank.
People want Rein to be a less mandatory pick.
Then tell Blizz to make better maps or make the community do it. Rein is picked because of map balance, not because he's really good.
Reinhardt himself isn't overpowered I don't feel like
he just offers a unique ability nobody else can and it happens to be a really strong ability at the very idea
if you nerfed his shield he'd be useless, much like how Lucio is also popular because Lucio offers an ability nobody else can
I can't say Hanzo is a much better hero, but he also can't top his health back up (and has far far less to boot) and scatter arrow has a ten second cooldown with a far lesser chance to actually 'delete' the target.
I'd say the difference is at least that hook is CONSISTENT: if you die to hook, you had some fault in it (not saying whether it's imbalanced or not, but if you get hooked, it's something you can make efforts to avoid.)
Scattershot can shred you or barely touch you in the exact same spot, exact same angle depending on how RNG seeding feels. When you die to that, it's kind of, what the fuck could I have done? I just got unlucky. Dying because of being unlucky happens, but when a skill is built around killing people based on luck, it feels bullshit. It's not due to victim's misplay or player skill, it's just due to the game acting in its own manner.
I think hanzo stands to gain removing scattershot and giving a more useful, consistent skill that isn't built around 1 shotting someone depending on how the video game gods feel.
A good way to measure RNG in a game is if it changes the pacing of game instead of the outcome. With scattershot, it's entirely is up to RNG for the outcome. With RNG that controls pacing, it involves player input and gives opportunities that must be countered by other player input.
I think for hog to be properly balanced his role should be clearly defined as a punisher of bad positioning. Pudge doesn't have an instant kill ability but he does have an ulti that allows the rest of his team to capitalise on his hook.
The hook's ministun and slow should occur at the end of the hook when they're pulled to hog rather than the start to allow for the rest of his team to attack. This will cause heroes that have wasted their escapes/movement abilities and heroes without movement abilities to be punished for bad positioning. It will also reward patience and baiting of escape abilities.
However, his scrap gun shouldn't be able to one shot any hero with the same body shot every single time because that's horrible to play against. At most, it should be able to one shot a tracer with a properly aimed center mass shot, since out of all the heroes, tracer is the only one with 2 escape abilities, with one having multiple charges and a short cooldown. A good tracer is a nightmare to hook anyway.
Spread should be reduced and fire rate increased to retain some kind of fighting ability with a significantly decreased damage output. Hog should be allowed at least one cheap shot as a form of punishment of bad positioning and reward for landing the hook but anything beyond that to secure a kill should require some level of skilled follow up from either hog or the rest of his team.
Right now hog stands in the position of more instant DPS burst damage rather than a front line hero that can soak a little bit of damage while waiting to take advantage of a lucio that jumps a little too far away from his rein's shield. Just my two cents worth.
imagine if they made a tank where one of his abilities was applying a very strong magnetism (aim assist) on himself and you couldn't unlock from him until the ability is over or you have 500 in-game sens.
Friend told me to have a go with Sombra seeing as I like playing as "absolutely cancerous" heroes
As it turns out, I'm quite good with Sombra with 39 enemies hacked Gold damage and the POTG.
Seems I'm destined to only be good with harassment type heroes.

I love harassment/troll characters and I always have
like Junkrat and before that the Spy in TF2
that said Mei goes too far for me, I believe there's a strong intersection between people who play as Mei and people who like to punch kittens
Hanzo can delete 500hp heroes by casually aiming scatter arrow at their feet from any range - fine and balanced.
Hog can hook targets and shoot them with his wonky scrap gun dealing 200-350 damage point blank - reeeee, nerf him Jeff!!!111
Pretty sure people still complain about scatter arrow aswell
Hanzo requires little skill imo
More like Overwatch as a whole.

With the way you're always complaining, you'd think you hate this game.
With the way you're always complaining, you'd think you hate this game.
Oh I do hate the game, well the current state of the game I want it to be goos but it has the skill ceiling of a hand holdy platformer made for 6 year olds

Outline where I said that was a bad thing please.
There is literally nothing wrong with a game being easy and casual.

So i wished for the Roadhog Bajie Skin for a while, but loot after loot it wont happen for me. I tried it again after a week later. And got it instantly.
That Bajie skin reminds me alot from Ghibli studios, no idea why.

i dont get it, its just normal hanzo gameplay
Mystery Heros is theoretically the most fun game mode, but when the enemy team just keeps getting tanks, it's the most rage-inducing by far.

When they get 2 zarya, 2 lucio, 2 soldier and you get 2 torbjorn, bastion, 2 symmetra, and widow on attack :v:
please god let blizzard bring the bastion changes and the server browser to the live game asap so I don't waste more time on the ptr like a fool
Probably because it's not as consistent as hook and has a 10 second cooldown. I've been thrown into the air by charges that should have killed me.
Just like two days ago I charged a Junkrat that i was sure would have been pinned and was pretty disappointed to see him just knocked away, only for him to bounce off a wall and land right back in front of me just in time to get smashed against another wall.
[editline]11th February 2017[/editline]
of all the moments I wish I could have recorded in this game, that's probably my #1
[sp]immediately afterwards I got mowed down by a Bastion but I didnt even care[/sp]

In spirited away the protagonists' parents are turned into pigs.
I tried some Genji out recently; I can't believe how many times an ulting Soldier: 76 won't just stop shooting at you when you deflect their ult. I haven't had a single one stop holding down their trigger until after the deflect ends, and most of the time it ends up killing them.
They really need to revert Torb closer to the TF2 engineer he's a port of, his turret specifically. It's like they made a really half assed effort differentiate him from the Engineer, but in the process took away most of his design strength and had to gimp the turret and nix the dispenser to make up for it.
The turret has instant lock on and instant turn speed probably to make up for all the mobility in the game, so if you don't have the mobility pretty much can't deal with the turret unless you're behind a shield, at which point it would have been insta gibbed by spam, because the OW engineer doesn't have a dispenser to give him the sustain to keep the turret up.
If they ever buff the turret, they really need to make the cooldown start when it's destroyed.
I just got the game and I have one really, really big question:
How long does it usually take to find a match? I have to wait over three minutes in queue just to find a match in "Quick Match".
