There actually IS self healing, every hero has it, all hp regens after being out of combat for 3-4 seconds.
I think its a great way to make healers not feel so mandatory, but at the same time still helpful. Its basically how shields work in this game.
Their versions of [url=http://paladins.gamepedia.com/Ruckus]D.Va[/url] and [url=http://paladins.gamepedia.com/Makoa]Roadhog[/url] are a lot more balanced and also a lot less infuriating,
and their [url=http://paladins.gamepedia.com/Fernando]Reinhardt[/url] is useful but not required by law to be in every single game, theres plenty of other shield sources other than him. And he has to pick and choose when his shield goes up, because it has a hefty cooldown.
Game isn't polished in the slightest unfortunately.

Well yeah I know about the out of combat heal but there isn't self healing [I]abilities[/I], except for shitty ones and Grover's ult.
But then again Blizzard never developed a first person shooter in their life until now
syms ult has way too much hp and too much of its shields

The difference here is Defense Matrix is only ok, its not that good and its attached to a girl in a paper mache mech.
Wraith form is 100% invulnerability to everything, that could very easily get out of hand.

I would still prefer the teleport over this if the teleport wasn't
a) the slowest ability in the game
b) the loudest ability in the game
legitimately, i know they want the game to be sound intensive but having your character just scream [B][U]REAPER-SITIONING[/U][/B] when he's meant to flank is just terrible
i'm finding a consistent pattern that playing on the weekdays around the time school and work gets out is the worst time to play.

From my expierence the overwatch dev are masters of saying one thing then doing another.
Been trying for the past hour to get my SR up to 2.5K so I can get into plat, but I've lost the past 2 games by a hair.
We got lines relating to new year's without there being an event. It'll probably be some random lines that play.
I think at most for valentines day we get a few lines and maybe a free loot box or two.
I hope we don't get another event so soon i'm completely burnt out from year of the rooster.

What if instead of/in addition to the souls collecting thing, he had actual straight-up lifesteal?
It would allow him to go toe-to-toe with heroes that have more health than him as long as he is out-DPSing them, which is what he should be doing against tanks anyways
the idea behind Reaper at least appears to be that if he gets right up next to you, you either space yourself from him or die, so it shouldn't be an option for the very heroes he should be best against to just turn and kill him at the range he should be the best at
