Every "Comp" match I play now is almost 80% people tossing the game.
To be honest, this stuff, even in off-season comp, should be a temporarily bannable offense.
It totally ruins the game for me. I'm not looking for E-Sports level stuff here, I just want to actually play the game and at least try to do well, and currently there's no way you can make sure you'll be put in a team that will at least try.
I always report people who throw. And I don't mean "UHHH, YEAH, WE DON'T NEED A HANZO" type stuff, I mean actual honest to god "we didn't take the first point in 30 seconds, I'm gonna spam "gg" in chat while I take up the Ana slot and not actually heal anyone" throwers. They're fucking everywhere.
The best is when you say you've reported them, the response is always the same.
"lol whatever this is my smurf account anyway"
The reason it seems like there is nothing to do is that, on purpose or not, they made the game to where it's just boring to play when there isn't an event going on or comp is off season.
Loot boxes were cool and all. When we all first started the game and we didn't have shit unlocked. At this point, most of us have all the non-event items we want. So, the only time getting loot boxes is fun is when there is an event going on. They need to balance out adding event items with adding non-event items so there is still stuff to unlock outside of an event.
And comp players. When comp is off season there is hardly anything that reaches the same competitiveness. In quick play no one acts seriously enough and no point even bothering inside Arcade unless it's 1v1 and 3v3.
I feel like they should leave Skill point gaining in Off season.
Who fucking cares if people end up farming it for gold weapons harder, it be more of an incenstive to play real matches.
Someone on the subreddit accidentally found the old control point under the ground of Anubis on the PTR:

Wow, didn't know the game had TF2-esque points at one time.
That looks nothing like Titanfall

You can see that and a lot of other differences in the very first gameplay trailer.

My personal favorite is Mercy's pistol which used to shoot light balls.

What are those green particles that show up every so often supposed to be?

Every single game today I've had a shit Widow main who refuses to switch even on attack on my team, no joke.

If that's the reason you'll often not trigger an overtime when you're standing within the very edge of the real cap point......

It just updates slowly on every map.
I hope we get some mapdesign changes with the next update.
The state of Eichenwald upon release suggests Blizz thinks their map design is hunky dory, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I espeically like how they just throw their new maps right into competitive without a second thought.

I still think Hamamura is worst in this regard than Eichenwalde.
Which doesn't absolve Eichenwalde in the slightest, mind you.

It's so bizarre seeing this trailer with the game having been out for the better part of a year now- me and my friends were so excited, being on a TF2 high at the time.
Then the waiting began- in fact, waiting for this game to come out was one of the most exciting parts of it.
The guide to winning eichenwalde defense is mei on the first point, pretty much no team I've ever met can figure out how to deal with it.
That choke is so needlessly infuriating, Mei just sends people over the top.
The wait for today's videos is killing me.

Prepare to die if you expect anything on Saturday.
Prepare to die if you expect anything on Saturday.
I accept my faith.
Blizzard does things on Tuesday. I don't expect anything until then.
I often forget there's a hotel on the right at the beginning of Volksaya as it serves virtually no purpose. :v:
Almost every sidepath that does exist in the game feels really accidental, and ususally involves taking D.Va or Genji surfing on some buildings over bottomless pits.
There's so many maps where literally opening a single wall would enhance the gameplay tenfold.
I don't know why Blizzard is so incompetent at making good side-routes.
Numbani is a good example of a map done well with multiple paths that everyone can take, imo.
Though I've never really gotten mad at maps like Hanamura or Eichenwalde.
I actually kind of like Hanamura once you get past the first choke?
The latter half actually has some nice paths.
Same goes for Volskaya, which I see people rag on, but the final point of that is designed really well, and honestly the rest of the maps should've taken notes.
Eichenwalde is really the only map I genuinely can't bring myself to enjoy.
It's like a competitive multiplayer rail shooter where it's always stacked.

Completely agree, the second point of Hanamura and Volskaya allows for some really close and interesting matches, well balanced teams permitting.
