I figured this was just the back of her coat/dress/whatever flaring out?
If it's a bug, it's a bug (and they should fix it), but I really hope they don't backtrack this and edit Mei's character model JUST to appease everyone who got triggered that a character in a puffy coat was revealed to actually be wearing a puffy coat all along.

Is there seriously something wrong with people not wanting every female hero to have the same thin body type? It's at the very least boring and uncreative from a design standpoint.
I'm not sure if I like the new killfeed or not.
It's not just body type tho.
Male overwatch heroes can be unrealistically proportioned (Hog and Rein) be a different species, be two different types of omnic, 90% robot cyborg and a dwarf 'cus Blizzard.
It's almost as if they care more about them being attractive waifu bait than well-designed characters
What should I buy, Red or Pink Mei?

whatcha talkin' about, it's only coincidence that there are three female characters who wear skin tight jumpsuits, another one who's costume shows off her ass, and another one with a ~sexy witch~ costume
God why is that dragon dance for Tracer.
Blizzard pick a better poster child.

But Tracer's the official company Waifu
Honestly if anyone's deserving of the title of 'Poster Child' it's Winston

Personally I just find it obnoxious that people see an aesthetic design choice they don't like and demand it be changed to better suit their preferences.

It should be noted that Rein looks normal when he's depicted out of his suit. I also wouldn't lump Bastion in as male. Bastion is a robot with absolutely no gender identifying traits.
god i can snipe in any other game but in overwatch I have the most trouble sniping. anyone else get this?

Oh yeah?

Honestly, it's less about diversity of body types and more about how this character has always looked like this from the concept stages, but her appearance needs to be changed because a vocal minority just cares that much about how much their virtual superheroes weigh.
If I was a character designer for Blizzard and saw people bitching and moaning and demanding that Mei's model be changed to suit their own personal aesthetic preference, I'd be a little insulted.

i mean it's pretty obvious that it's a glitch if you look at the model for more than three seconds, plus, compare it with how it looked in the trailer:

also nobody is demanding that blizzard change anything about mei, other than the fact that the skin is broken

Except it's obviously a bug???? Look at that massive chunk out of her back and tell me it's supposed to be like that.

I was more talking about the vocal minority saying that the skin was "fat erasure" and similar hilarious buzzwords, but now that I see that comparison yeah wow that's obviously a bug.
Entirely my mistake.

I honestly just assumed it was the back of her coat flaring out because of the pose she was in V:v:V
There was a rule to play "Big Booty Bitches" in discord every time mei was picked. That's how I know it's a problem.

Have you seen the concept art? Her proportions are fucked for the sake of sex appeal.

Those tiddies are screaming in pain.
But god forbid people critique a piece of media when it comes to how it portrays people.
If you can defend how the guys have all the variety in the world and the girls get an old lady and a strong lady, then go right ahead.

Anyone with an understanding of anatomy could tell that based off of her facial structure[sp]and thiccness[/sp], she would kinda have to be fat. This isn't people senselessly complaining just to complain, believe it or not.
It's just a little fucking lame to be teased with being represented in media then have it possibly turn out to not be the case for the sake of waifu points.
At least it's equal and there's no fat dudes, right? :godzing:

I mean, to play devil's advocate, most of the male characters fall into the categories of either "physically fit and handsome" or "literal cartoon character". At least the female characters who aren't blatantly conventionally attractive (like Zarya, for example) get to retain some dignity.
There's also Winston, but his body-type hardly seems relevant in this context.
I love basically all of the character designs in the game, but the female characters tend to feel generally more original in terms of design and concept than the guys.
Like, Symmetra is an industrial espionage agent/architect who builds things out of hard light by dancing and Zarya is a former athlete/weight lifter who went to war against giant robots and won by commanding gravity.
Meanwhile, McCree is a cowboy and Genji is a cyborg ninja.
But really it's all irrelevant, since it's not like character design or backstory effects gameplay in any way :v:

Symmetra and Widowmaker's bean sprout character designs give them incredibly small hitboxes. :v:

Touche!

Well no crap their designs don't affect gameplay at all. All people are saying is that it's a failing on Blizzard's part that all but two of the females are conventionally attractive/over-sexualized, their backstories have absolutely nothing to do with the point I'm making.
The point is the guys can be fat, disgusting little swedish men, monkeys, robots, and burnt australians, yet the girls only have two that don't feel copy-pasted in some respects. Again, defend the lack of PHYSICAL diversity and I'll shut the heck up.
You can not care about an entire chunk of the game's design all you want but don't get all disconcerted when others care about the parts that aren't the gameplay.

Still have kinda mixed feelings about this CTF tho.
turnips and onions in cupcakes what the hell is this monstrosity
She says its some kind of sweet/savory combo. Kinda like chocolate and bacon? I dunno.
I mentioned this before saying it, a lot of the heros have way too much mobility for CTF to work and some of the maps aren't that well designed and can be exploited.
Mei can fuck your day up with 1 ice wall blocking spawn.
DVA can just grab the flag and boost up and out of there, bypassing walls and other obstacles. A good roadhog player is required for countering.
Sombra's everything.
Zenyatta can literally ult from one point to another, capping a flag on some maps.
Tracer's everything.
whats the easiest way to get lootboxes?
spam 3v3 elim for the lootbox every 3 wins?
I was on the assumption that the event was officially dubbed "Year of the Cock", so I started spitting out puns after puns in CTF mode (like "Protect this cock as if it was yours") till I knew better
assuming you can land all or most of the hits, does zarya's LMB or RMB do more damage/DPS?
Is there a reason they haven't fucking done anything regarding how some of us Aussies get put in fucking 250 PING AMERICAN SERVERS RANDOMLY?
WHY IS THIS EVEN ALLOWED?
