Best way to get win loot boxes is to do no limits and pray you get defense
I just go mei on ctf. Easily the best hero for both attacking and defending.
Honestly CTF would be great if we could at least embrace the turtling completely and go on hours long 2Fort-style battles, instead of having the timer pressuring you all the time.

Seeing D.Va be absolutely useless is sadistically pleasing me. Like, I feel bad for D.Va mains, but oh my god seeing her not be some invincible god anymore fills me with joy. I rip her mech to shreds so easily.

The Sombra buff makes playing her feel MUCH better.
ctf is so flawed. it resets the counter if you take damage while capturing. so basically, widow can just put down one of her venom mines and you have 5 free seconds of capture denying. some patches and maybe it could be fun
ctf is flawed because defense is always better than offense in games like this it's why offense teams always get faster spawns
There are just so many shit things on both sides. On offense you have the fact that if you manage to stagger the death of just one or two people it becomes trivial to spawncamp because you have an effective 22-24 seconds long respawn timer. On the other hand, on defense, it's pretty much impossible to cap the flag as long as you have one or two people really dedicated to it, it's pretty much impossible for anybody to cap. Also, the cool thing about CTF gamemodes that everybody likes is the fact that once you pick up the flag you're supposed to have a fun, frenetic chase to prevent the other team from capping. That does not happen, and literally it cannot happen, because the map is too fucking small. A single speedboosting lucio can cover more than half the distance between flags on Control Center, and an ulting zenyatta can always cap as long as he picks the flag. The map(s), other than being small, are also cramped as shit, with very little space for maneuvering. Definitely, it's a matter of Overwatch heroes not being really mobile. Let's be honest, no character in the game is truly mobile, they only have mobility skills and their mobility is completely reliant on those not being on cooldown, which means that you don't get long chases where the winner is defined by the guy who can rocket jump better or bhop better or whatever, but who got the ability off cooldown. There is literally no way to catch a Tracer once she has used her three blinks, even if you're a Tracer yourself.
Grab the flag as winston leap into the air and use primal rage leap again because the cooldown resets. There is no counterplay to this strat.

I feel like if they removed damage resetting the cap and the possibility to use abilities while holding the flag, it'd be a lot more fun and a lot faster.

All it takes is symmetra and winston sat on the point and you've lost.
Or Sniper D.Va shooting towards the point towards spawn. I've actually done this and it works as long as its not a tank.

DVA has an unlimited mag/clip (shhh) so you just keep firing towards the flag. You just need someone with a barrier or deflection to counter it.

Thanks Sombra for ruining the match for me. Capture radius is bigger than it looks but trap mostly works with bigger hitboxes.
Apparently if you are playing as Reaper and capture the flag and then go into wraith form afterwards you don't drop it. Yeah, they really didn't think this through, did they?
I want to play and like this game, but It's a vicious cycle of me continuing to play like complete and utter fucking garbage, leaving, and not gaining the experience required to not be complete utter fucking garbage.
So yeah just FYI. If you are protecting the flag and nothing happens for awhile. You can get kicked for inactivity because you haven't actively attacked anyone within a certain amount of time. It kinda sucks.

I mean I can lose but at least for the most part I can tell what I was doing wrong and what I need to change to actually be better.
