Sombra is a good healer and much better with the current buff.
She can bleed the enemy team pretty well
:what:
Because of how quickly the big health packs respawn and the 8 second delay on hacks, she can easily shut out parts of the map that are crucial to the enemy.
Is she as good as Ana, or the other healers? Fuck no. But don't be surprised for this fact to come up when Blizzard decides the entire metagame revolves around her and her checks.
i know ana is OP and everything but before ana came out I really never had fun playing supports (which i pretty much have to play every game or we lose0
I love playing Roadhog but I agree he's problematic. I'm happy I can consistently kill squishies like Hanzo, Symmetra, Mercy and Ana when I hook them, but I don't think one shotting Zarya is fair at all.
I think certain characters should be able to act while hooked, giving them a counterplay other than "don't get hooked" -
Reaper should be able to Wraith through hook,
D.Va should be able to defense matrix while hooked,
Tracer should be able to Recall while hooked,
Zarya should be able to shield herself when hooked,
Sombra should be able to teleport while hooked.
Roadhog needs to think and make sure the enemy is on cooldown before hooking, and these characters need to have counterplay to hog specifically because other than Zarya Hog makes them unplayable.
Roadhog should be a threat to healers and flankers but shouldn't always wreck certain characters that should be a threat to him. D.Va has one less counter, Sombra and Tracer wouldn't get instantly shut down. Reaper can be anti-tank again without getting shut down/outdone. Zarya is a tank and instant killing her no contest is a bit dumb, at least now she has an easier time defending herself other than trying to bait a hook. Hog is stuck still while hooking so hooking a healer while five other players ass rape you is a bad idea and won't succeed, and if he manage to hook those slippery fuckers and live he deserves it.

I personally love playing Lucio and Zenyatta, but Mercy is pretty boring I agree. Symmetra is fun too but not a healer.

Zenyetta is fun and lucio's been a lot better since his wallrun updates but i still find him kinda boring to play
I'd rather Ana's grenade be more for reducing the amount of healing a target gets rather than outright denying someone of any healing whatsoever.

Zen is by far, imo the most fun to play support. Nothing beats denying someone of their ultimate or taking a tank down in mere seconds with good aim.
Blizzard, when someone goes to level 100 and you then decide to throw said level 100s into Prestige 1-3 groups, you know I don't have a fun time.
Also, damn the skill level just went so far up I can't even do anything in these games anymore.
I think it's better to stay in Competitive now, this is just way too ridiculous for me. At least in Silver I don't get ridiculously good players like what I get from prestige 1-3 groups in Quick Play.
Maybe roadhog could get a slight pause after booking so he can't headshot someone the same zeptosecond as the hook ending?
Roadhog makes me want to bring back the original FTH McCree.
Roadhogs' hook feels so much weirder now. It rubberbands and does all kinds of weird things too. Hook 2.0 is better than Hook 1.0. But that's like not saying much when the vanilla version was much better.
the only thing i'd like to see them change is to make reaper(the ''tank buster'' lol), mei and zarya not die to it in one shot, but the 200hp heroes who didnt die before(junkrat, hanzo, ana, especially ana) are fair game.
besides that, hook 2.0 is waaay better than hook 1.0 and if you still dont know the counterplay to it you're kinda bad.
I still find it odd that the hook latches onto a Genji that swift strikes away from it.
Oh, I just had the worst luck. Opened two Lunar New Year Loot Boxes and got Sparrow Genji (Already had) and Ribbit for Lucio (Which I didn't have woo).
Still really sad that I didn't get any of the seasonal ones.
Also, am I the only one that feels like the matchmaking system is really weird. Is there a lot of smurfing at the low levels these days? I felt like I played against really competent players after the matchmaking system realized I sucked against the prestige 1-3 people.
Was a really odd experience seeing level 8 and 9s do ridiculous plays that any new player shouldn't really be able to do.
Genji's deflect should NOT affect the hook.
Fight me.

This is my problem with how they are handling new cosmetics.
Almost all the new content that has been released has been seasonally locked. So even though you can buy them for credits during the event, you're completely locked from getting them afterward, or until at least next time the season rolls around.
There's has been no new content for anyone that isn't holiday locked, except for the couple for Reinhardt when Eichenwald was released.
Finally got something good from lootboxes. Not Mei or D.Va tho, but i do wanted it.

Not only should it deflect the hook, roadhog should take 300 damage if it happens.
I don't see why you want this low risk, high reward skill to be even lower risk.
FTH McCree was nerfed because people hated this shit. Why is it ok when Hog does it?
Genji should reflect the actual projectile, and make roadhog come to him instead, leading to him getting oneshot anyway :v:
Genji should reflect Roadhogs hook so that it latches onto Roadhog and Roadhog pulls Roadhog and one shots himself.
Just cut out the middleman. Make his M1 one shot himself.
I want the Palanquin D.Va skin dammit.
Genji should cut the hook off the rope and leave the Roadhog permanently hookless
I've gotten Mei's Purple Chinese skin two times. I just want the red one.

I know she's nothing compared to other healers but at least she acts more as a support than offensive right now.
And yeah, expect something stupid later on with her.

Did I miss the roadhog hate train?
Roadhog is overpowered as fuck and everyone knows it

Roadhog mains are literally worse than Hanzo/Widow mains in terms of whining.

I've played roadhog for about 45 minutes and I can play him effectively in Master SR rating.
All I do is throw the big hook in general directions and click m1 after it.
I've even read how to move against certain heros to confirm oneshots.
But honestly, the entire design of "Fucking GOD with the hook, giant feeder without it" is a direction I just don't like.
Even though he's not, since his m2s are also pretty good. Especially when you need to drop a reinhardt shield, which Hogs presence in itself forces to be run.
Maybe because you play against idiots but you can't just throw hooks randomly and expect to get a kill. You also can't expect to instant kill anyone you meet.
Seriously this is like another Bastion situation where people complain that he's too OP and they don't bother to switch heros. As someone who mains roadhog, here are some heroes you should pick to give my life hell.
Pharrah: Unless you're shit, you'll give me a hard time if you stay at a distance.
Sombra: Hack me daddy. No more self healing and hooks.
Ana: Goodbye self-healing!
Zarya: Cast your shield on someone who is being hooked. Now I can't kill him.
Mei: Ice walls can stop landed hooks with the latest update (technically, she always could). She has a lot of health, and she's generally annoying as fuck with her freeze too.
ITT: Tracer players mad they can't zip around with imputiny.

The difference here being, not only is roadhog a meta pick, he's one of the most mained heroes amung the top 500.
Meanwhile bastion has never been a meta pick, and only Rg4 mains him.
So clearly theres a disconnect somewhere in your logic.
I've noticed that none of your heroes listed actually kill roadhog, they just prolong the hook's inevitability.
Zarya's bubbles have a longer cooldown then said hook, so you'll block one, he'll go play footsies behind reinhardt and come back and kill.
Pharah and Sombra are currently trash tier. Not even sure Pharah has enough damage output to deal with hog, let alone one running an Ana. No heroes do not exist in a vacuum.
Ana can deny his self healing. Ok. He's still alive by the way.
Mei can block one hook like Zarya can, then its cooldown city. this is also significantly harder to pull off, seeing as it requires precise placement in about 1 seconds worth of time.
You seem to be operating under the assumption that roadhog needs to leave saftey to hook anything.

I never said that roadhog wasn't good. The thing with Bastion is that he's incredibly easy to deal with and roadhog requires some level of teamwork to bring him down (That's really how all tanks work).
Also Bastion is pretty bad against competent players.
I've noticed that none of your heroes listed actually kill roadhog, they just prolong the hook's inevitability.

I thought it was obvious because you're removing the only thing that keeps a roadhog alive: His self-heal.
All 5 of those heroes can kill a roadhog. It might require a bit of teamwork for the case of Ana and Pharrah, but they can kill Roadhog pretty easily.
Zarya's bubbles have a longer cooldown then said hook, so you'll block one, he'll go play footsies behind reinhardt and come back and kill.
Combine both of her shields. In lower ranked games you can probably bait a hook. Even if you're slow and get caught, you can cast it on yourself and walk away pretty easily.

Ok so there's your problem. You're using the scenario of 1v1 against a roadhog, a hero that is designed around 1v1.
You need teamwork to bring roadhog down. I wouldn't be suprised if that's the complaint here.
"I can't kill roadhog!"
"Alright, who do you play?"
"Tracer!"
"Are you soloing him?"
"Y-Yeah!"

Oh. So he's countered by focus fire.
Question then.
What hero isn't?

Zarya.
Swear to god whenever I'm shooting at her she has that fucking shield.
