One thing I've noticed about Hanzo is that no one will question it if you have the shiny top 500 icon, but if you're even 1 SR below you'll be asked to switch.

Zenyatta is my favorite Hamon user.
So I wound up against a team that consisted mostly of bronze players. Talk about oddball team compositons they had a Mei along with a Sombra,Tracer,Roadhog and Pharah. No healers to speak off whatsoever.
For some reason the Sombra and Tracer kept focusing me instead of our Mercy and tanks and their Pharah would always suicide bomb when trying to capture the point :v

It doesn't show CURRENT rank, but that's what it used for matchmaking. So if they placed into 2501, then plummeted to 1300, they would still show up as plat, even though they're getting ranked as a silver. That's probably what you're seeing

I'm not saying Overwatch balancing is perfect or even great, but [I]compared to other Blizzard games[/I] OW balancing is by far the best.
Let's take Hearthstone for example: They haven't buffed a single card, ever. Their philosophy is "it's okay to have some bad cards" with the hidden "...so we can reprint a stronger version to sell new expansions". Some cards are overpowered and dominate the meta for months, but the testers are okay with it since they're working on a counter that will appear in 2-3 months. Usually those counters are too weak and they still don't fix the overpowered cards.
Heroes of the Storm is maybe even more imbalanced. The team with Samuro (the new guy that's sold for real money or tons of ingame currency) had a winrate of 67.5% initially so they can sell the new guy. They knew the hero was busted but they offered some PR bullshit like "let's wait for the dust to settle, people just don't know how to counter it yet" while For comparison LoL starts balancing stuff if a hero's winrate is over 53%. Samuro is the worst example but about 50% of new heroes are disgustingly overpowered for the first month. Maybe I'm just bad, but I honestly would have preferred most of 1v2 situations over 1v1 with Samuro.

If Hearthstone team was in charge of OW, they wouldn't even consider ever buffing Sombra.
so i queued for comp and alt tabbed, because i still have my headphones on and it plays a sound when i get put into a game.
- it's been 5 minutes
- sound never plays
- i'm now sitting on a login screen
- i restart the game and find that i've been hit with a cooldown and lost sr.
seriously what the fuck is wrong with this game?

I've only had one person whine at me for picking her in quickplay so far, which is a bloody miracle.

They drastically decreased the hitbox size of her icicles. They're still really good, but not nearly as broken as they used to be.
They did buff Blizzard a lot in return, though.
This was a while ago though and I don't know how much they've done to her recently if anything. Hasn't been noticable.

It kinda grew on me playing Reinhardt. Either attacking or defending I find myself having a blast killing people with firestrikes and getting in front of teammates denying lethal damage.
I even got he's Wujin skin from a box this event.
So I never really thought of it before but Lucios "Chilling" emote looks less like he's listening to music and more like he's getting electroshocked
