Supporting was awesome in Loadout. Was actually fun. And useful too.
Loadout's shitty business decision to neglect the PC version and put all the effort into the PS4 version just reminds me of SMNC.
I hope Blizzard never fucks up in a similar manner.
I don't think we have to worry about that. They don't treat the console version as well. Sure they get the same updates but it doesn't seem like they listen to the console crowd at all.
What if Sombra could
hack through barriers.
That would be straight up bullshit.
I swear to God every time I try to play Widow, everyone's hit boxes get 10x smaller.
Hanzo is easier to play than Widowmaker. Maybe it's just me though.
Lets be honest here. We all want to see a hero that heals people by punching them in the face.
Angus the Puncher with Beard Slap.
They should make Rein less mandatory
The minute Blizzard updates their fucking map design document and make every map that isn't MotH a single hallway that most character have to go through to complete the objective, Reinhardt goes away forever. He 's only required because of the way Blizz builds maps, along with many, many checks and balances with many characters have little trouble putting him down.
Is using a mic to give my teammates callouts worth it? Like would it make a noticeable difference in my winrate?
yes?
I think I've lost 10 games in a row now but only dropped 120 MMR, soloq life.
Is using a mic to give my teammates callouts worth it? Like would it make a noticeable difference in my winrate?
Why wouldn't it be? Unless they've all got their voicechat muted, your teammates having more information will lead to them making better decisions and playing better, meaning winning more. If they were all truly bad enough that it wouldn't make a difference, then you would be able to win games single-handedly due to everyone in that game being the equivalent of a potato
I just loved the concept of Loadout. It's a shame that the game got neglected and died.
I remember when they shut down the Australian servers (and the South African ones too iirc) and then ran off to a convention with no comment at all.
I come to this thread to hear people complain about Overwatch. Not to remember about Loadout and get sad about how that game didn't became a big thing.
I'm sad now. Hope you are happy.
I still want a paladin healer/tank hybrid.
please don't add any more healers to this game until its fixed
a major problem was that healing/supports were so strong for the longest time and spent several patches being nerfed
being a massive chunk of meat like roadhog or reinhardt would probably be more difficult if healing 600hp wasn't so utterly trivial - but the problem is that getting through 600hp before a support notices is insanely difficult
however in True Blizzard Balance style, the one character that interrupts healing also happened to be the strongest healer in the game, making the problem far worse - so now every team has to run ana no matter what because as long as she's the only character that can prevent healing, while simultaneously being the best healer, she's required
tl;dr ana, you were the chosen one, you were meant to bring balance to the game etc etc
I'm not calling Ana balanced until the Biotic Grenade reduces healing instead of outright denying it.
I sometimes wish this game didnt have healers. They're always mandatory and have so much downtime with some of them
I'm not calling Ana balanced until the Biotic Grenade reduces healing instead of outright denying it.
Is there even any other ability that can do 4 things at once?
I sometimes wish this game didnt have healers. They're always mandatory and have so much downtime with some of them
the game needs them because otherwise you have a ton of downtime for everyone else or you make health packs too omnipresent
the problem is that when healing is too strong, you end up with this idiotic boomerang situation where the game is constantly decided by ultimates and big damage abilities because you need to kill people immediately or they just get healed to full (or roadhog hooks)
combine that with the fact that you have heroes running around with 600hp, and you have an extremely messy game where everyone jacks off near the point until someone decides it's time and then the entire game becomes a fuckfest
this is actually an interesting lesson to learn from TF2 which I experienced when I played a game about a month ago: the medic heals fucking slowly -'but the point is not for him to boomerang people's health from zero to full (he has uber to save I guess?) but to reduce that downtime of being on low health but not dead
that might be different with some of the other wack ass medic guns, but it was refreshing
Is there even any other ability that can do 4 things at once?
You know, speaking technically theres a couple abilities that can do 4 things at once.
Hook being an example:
1.Stuns enemies
2.Pulls enemies towards you
3.Damages enemies
4.Guarantees their death 95% of the time.
There's also Reinhardt's charge:
1.Gives him mobility
2.Does damage
3.Stuns enemies
4.Displaces enemies
Reinhardt's charge is at least pretty risky and difficult to use, in most situations.

Correct me if im wrong but hitboxes indeed are way way smaller with widow/mcree compared to when playing with hanzo.
4 DPS, one tank, and just me as a healer.
Thanks Quickplay.
None of those DPS were getting kills, just me as Ana and the Zarya.
Blizzard, what the hell is this?

The other day I went against a full team of 4-5 stars and we had a damn level 22 on our team with like 11 hours played total
The forced winrate could at least try to be subtle
Can you imagine how choice this game would be if it allowed for modding, similar to TF2's source engine?
Too bad that's never happening
Really think Mercy could use a quality of life update. For the most part she's just not as fun to play as other healers. And for some reason, Ana is able to out heal Mercy, even though mercy should be imo the best single target healer in the game. Only reason to play her is to get clutch revives.
Should mercy get two ultimates like symmetra? Change to her kit?
I find it hard to play her when I could instead play a hero with better healing capabilities, better ultimate denial and ability to do massive amounts of damage.
I'm not really liking how most of the ctf matches i play end in a draw. Doesn't really make it a whole lot of fun imo
ive said it before just make it so her ult full heals all living allies in the aoe as well as resurrecting dead ones literally all she needs to be viable, maybe allow guardian angel to be used without targeting an ally but at the cost of increased cooldown (8s instead of 2 maybe)
I think her problem is that sometimes after a revive everyone just dies again right after. Her revive should force the enemy to retreat and not get more free kills. I think there should be some sort of short boost after the revive to force the enemy to pull back and regroup or something.
Currently Mercy's ult seems a bit situational and as it charges quite fast it feels like half of the time you're waiting to use it whenever and wasting time to potentially build another one, more so than any other class.
She'd probably benefit from an additional heal-everyone ult similar to Lucio's and with the effects of Medic's overheal; or maybe something that grants everyone some extra defense in a pinch
An extra E ability for utility could also be good
Mercy definitely needs something to draw her away from being shunned. I personally think she's extremely squishy and even just looking at her is enough to make her feel threatened with little retaliation.
Perhaps one suggestion would be to give her like a vaccinator like buff and allow her to heal a portion from damage her healing-target takes?
if you buff mercy's ult you risk turning the game into the absolute shitfest that was pre-nerf mercy ult when you had two going off every fight and it was agonizingly unfun
obviously this can be avoided by buffing her in smart ways, but i'm rather incredulous of that ult because I don't like it in the first place
