I complained to one of my friends earlier that "I hate mercy's dash. I can't stop it mid-flight and half the time it takes me into the enemy team" He then told me that if you go into options -> controls and selected mercy as the character (you can apparently make custom controls for heroes), you can change the option "Toggle guardian angel" to off, which means once you stop holding down your dash button, you will completely stop momentum. I then later found out that apparently if you hit shift again if toggle guardian angel is on, it'll do the same thing, but the game never told me that. Now mercy is much more tolerable to play.

It took me until a few weeks ago to see the toggle guardian angel option. It took me a few games to get used to holding shift to fly but once I was used to it I was zipping all over the map with absolute precision. It made playing Mercy miles better.
i'm baffled at how much overwatch is lauded when once you start understanding the game more and more past the surface level of whacky class-based shooter, you see glaring design flaws
the fact that even newer call of duty games have better level design than Blizzard's absolutely abysmal level design should be something to be embarrassed about

Even newer maps have problems. Was Eichenwalde legit untested? The final push in that L hallway just sucks.

Eichenwalde would be miles better if it was payload>capture point instead of the other way around. Why the fuck are you even escorting a battle ram to a dead guy's suit of armor anyway?

Is it just me or does most of Overwatch's weapon sounds seem kinda, I dunno, un-satisfactory? I mean like, I understand that some of them are super high tech and shoot laser-bullets or whatever, but none of the weapon sounds in the game really have any "oomph" to them. Especially compared to other games, that doom video a few posts up is a real example of what I mean. Huge mech-walker with assault cannon arms, but it sounds like its shooting air-soft guns.

Why does Mystery Heroes always give the other team a perfect team comp when every time my team dies we get supports, snipers, and torbs. I swear it happens every game and it's getting really irritating having game after game of not being able to do anything because the odds didn't fall in my team's favor.
