Are Blizz considered a crap quality company usually? OW is my first real game from them and love it but don't know much about their past to be honest.

D3 was pretty bad originally but became better over time. Overwatch... well I guess we'll see. The majority of changes have been good improvements so far but there are some things that have made it worse (hi Ana).

i love D3 but i never played it at release, it feels like right now though theyre giving D3 a cold shoulder. shit even more so when i consider the updates OW has been getting (D3 got a shitty D1-esque overlay for anniversary, and the only real new content coming is a single class to be paid for. meanwhile OW just got oasis, the christmas and chinese new year event all within 2 months, for free. D3 gets free updates too sometimes, but nothing really gameplay changing.) id even pay for another expansion like RoS, which made the most drastic changes and added the most to the game, but they dont want money either i guess...

It is 5 years old now though, and RoS is nearly 3 years old. The fact they're even updating it at all, still doing seasons, is far beyond what most companies do with their games. Also, Overwatch isn't even a year old, so it's pretty unfair to make a comparison based on updates.

My biggest problems with OW are the lack of maps and balance.
These are problems I feel will improve over time and I really love how often Blizz interact with the community and talk about the changes they have planned via video and forums. I know that part doesn't matter as much to some but it gives me plenty of hope.
That series gamespot put out where Blizz talk about how the Titan MMO became OW and how emotional they were when they finally annouced it, I got a huge sense that these people care about their game deeply. I rarely ever see that kind of passion anymore in the industry, not even from valve really.

RoS was revealed at gamescon '13, and released in '14. blizzard has not formally said a single word about another expansion at any event since then. i never said i expect it to come out of "thin air", but saying whether or not they have plans for any at all would be appreciated. the community has made it exceedingly obvious another one is wanted since RoS was so good, the small free content updates along the way have been great, but they just havent said anything about a big expansion. just feels like theyve currently snubbed D3 in favor of other shit like putting resources towards SC2 or OW.

I swear the game purposely puts you in losing games the last 3 for a loot boxe just so you won't get that final loot box.

Really gotta commend Overwatch how it awards rating points.
- You don't lose rating if you lose by a hair.
- You don't lose rating if someone leaves and you don't lose by a landslide.
- Leaves are punished with rating loss of 3-5 games as well as a temp ban.
Now matchmaking is a different story.
