tip on how not to be a shitlord: use what is intended instead of giving yourself an obvious unfair advantage while making shitty excuses to justify yourself.
"intended" use what you want as long as it doesn't automate functionality with macros or scripts. Blaming the controller is being a huge baby, when I play fighting games with my friends/group you're allowed to use anything as long as you don't use rapid fire buttons or sophisticated macros. Some controllers have advantages over others but the mentality has always been if you really think it's that big of a deal then why not use it yourself? Most fighting games are intended for play on arcade sticks but people use controllers, keyboards, or hitboxes (stick/keyboard hybrid) You can't force people to use kb+m so having a whinge about it won't solve anything. Adapt or stop complaining. Why should I use a gimped control scheme just because you don't like it? I hate playing FPS on controllers so I would sure as fuck buy a kb+m even if it's not perfect. [editline]4th February 2017[/editline]
So you mean to give yourself what's practically an unfair advantage just purely and solely for the intent of winning at a goddamn videogame that you could do the same... On an actual PC, since you're already using the input hardware. You are comparing a piece of typical technology that is sensible to use for an FPS game to things that are possible to use for an FPS but why bother other than for shits and giggles if you put yourself in that situation, then by all means you're the one at wrong. Though there are tools specifically made for consoles to be used on consoles, a KB+M didn't come with my XB1 and I don't see why I should use it when i could just play the fucking game on pc if it were available
Just because it came with the console doesn't mean it's intended either because fighting games are intended to be played on an arcade stick and almost no games bundle one with the game, they just expect you to own one or use a controller. There are inputs for them that are difficult on one so most controller players use in-game macros because it's hard to press 3 buttons at once on a PS4 controller while it's easy on an arcade stick. Same with racing games or any other really. Controllers are terrible for FPS which is why you see those clips of someone with terrible aim, 90% of the time you can tell it's on console even without looking at the HUD, to prove this even further a lot of console shooters have auto aim to help. Which is like the ultimate proof that developers recognize that a controller is not the optimal way as they need to put in aim assistance. It's not unfair because it's available to anyone and doesn't automate any functionality or provide some sort of scripting/hack.
somethingsomethingcontrollersetc
I see your point but I disagree entirely because controllers can do just as good as they specially made arcade sticks and racing yaddablah. It's not dependent on the controller for those situations, it's dependent on player skill unless you're also saying controllers just have outright worse performance too. Just because aim assistance is in the game could mean it's not optimal I guess, but it doesn't mean the controller is worthless. It's there to help people who aren't as good at aiming stand a chance in hell against competent players, and some shooters turn aim assist off in the more skilled playlists of multiplayer too.
It's not unfair because it's available to anyone and doesn't automate any functionality or provide some sort of scripting/hack.
It's unfair because no matter how you see it, a KB+M is going to melt a controller in majority of equal skill match ups because KB+M is just that much more versatile. Just because people have is available also doesn't mean they want to use a KB+M for a fucking console, because what's the fucking point then? Why not just get it on PC? Unless you're one of those dudes who just can't get their fucking Gears of War or Destiny fix below 80% of their 23 hour gaming days, the last hour reserved for sleep and food.
Aren't those keyboard and mouse setups for consoles pretty janky though? I remember looking into them a couple years ago and everything I read about them said they weren't even close to using a mouse for a PC.
Pretty sure the XIM 4 works pretty well while everything else is super jank
I can't even imagine Overwatch with a controller. It must feel like an entire different game.
Just sucks turning around with a controller versus a mouse because of the speed.
I'm on a 5 ranked losing streak, someone please help [editline]4th February 2017[/editline] "I'm on a 5 losing streak, I can't fucking believe this" "MAD CUZ BAD LOL" "You're the one who sucks" I'm the only one on the team with gold fucking elims so shut the fuck up
Earthshatter: because an untelegraphed, near uncounterable, and potentially team wiping ult should be able to go off twice in a single push for some reason.
Earthshatter: because an untelegraphed, near uncounterable, and potentially team wiping ult should be able to go off twice in a single push for some reason.
I wouldn't say near uncounterable, after all Rein's barrier completely blocks it, and an ice wall can keep enemy rein from hammering even during the downtime. There's definitely a balance issue with making a hero counter itself, but that doesn't make it uncounterable.

And even if a Rein shield is up it hits anyway for the hell of it.

I still kinda like ctf but it needs a bit of work.

CTF, with a bit more rework, can be fun and only fun gamemode. If they wish to add it, they should keep it only in the arcade mode. CTF as a concept doesn't work for Overwatch at all and adding it to competitive gamemodes would ruin a lot of core concepts the game holds.

I'm glad the CTF achievements were easy. Was really expecting stupid hard ones like "kill an enemy who has your flag while holding their flag"

Why does it seem nobody wants to play healer? Yesterday I decided I wasn't gonna play healer at all, the class I play most and have grown a little tired of, and hey guess what most of my games were shite because we had no healer. Is it really that hard for a DPS/tank/defence player to support instead every once in a while? It's gotten to the point now where I'm pretty sure the only games I ever win are the ones I play Ana.

It's not even that hard to support you just learn the kit and use it

At this point I may as well play Mercy non-stop in every solo ranked match. I mean, no one wants to play the healer, so they'll be glad I'm covering for them; I have this uncanny ability while playing Mercy where I know precisely who to heal and who to buff and when and how to escape danger; in the rare event I'll lose I'll accumulate 12k healing points on an average, so everyone and their mamas will write down in chat things like "best Mercy" or "good Mercy" (allies and enemies alike)

Like in quick play I tend to average around 3k-7k. In comp I never get below 10k and I'll regularly get 14k-18k. I happen to end up with the same group of two for a few games in a row and they were convinced I was the best Lucio ever.
I had a match yesterday where both teams had no healers, Gibraltar. Guess who got gold on everything including healing? [sp]Me[/sp]
Cant stand Overwatch anymore. I play solo and I'm put into teams who don't ptfo and lose the majority of matches and go onto achieve massive losing streaks which isn't fun to play. I dont get what I've done to deserve being matched over and over again into teams which suck (all my stats are good), but it means that the game is just frustrating. I think matchmaking has ruined this game for me. I'd rather play against completely random players from all skill levels (LIKE NEARLY EVERY OTHER FPS), that's what makes fun gameplay. Also it's become obvious that the game is so formulaic that it's practically 50/50 which team wins. I think id rather just flip a coin against a wall at this point. RIP.

I can't push over platinum because of shitty teammates who disconnect or get into a rage fit at our team. At this point each season I will only care about placing and then stop there. Competitive with friends is also an issue, because some of us just want to have fun, which is fine but sometimes I want to break that barrier, so it's a "doomed if you do, doomed if you don't" situation where I am pretty much screwed no matter what I do.
Played some No Limits last night and got put into a team that all communicated and fucked around really well; it was some of the most fun I've had playing Overwatch in a while. Of course, there was that one guy ("SOMEONE KILL THE FUCKING PHARAH JESUS CHRIST") but we all managed to ignore him and continue having a fun time with purposefully flawed yet somehow working team comps.
it would be nice if one of these loot boxes i got had a non-blue event thing but okay I guess I'll live with my rarest thing from the last 8 loot boxes being a dupe mccree taunt
Man 3v3 after getting first prestige are impossible. Hahahaha, I can't believe how hard it is to win. Why did Jeff Kaplan have to remove 1v1 random? Much easier to get my weekly lootboxes than doing 3v3 with 2 people who don't know what they're doing while the other team is competitive and ready to win easily every single time.

Hell even I've played the CTF shit more than the other arcade mode unless it was for lootboxes.
