Last night I went one round dominating the field as McCree, near perfect accuracy. The next round I must've been having a stroke or something because I couldn't even hit the side of a barn.

There's some sort of strange effect going on around McCree. I experienced a mini version of that when I went into a skirmish as McCree, and just murdered people by getting constant headshots regardless of distance of how they broke up their movement. Then I went into a game as McCree and ate total shit so I was just like "welp that's what I get for trying to play an offense that's not Soldier or Tracer" and went Soldier and actually started contributing.
Cant stand Overwatch anymore.
I play solo and I'm put into teams who don't ptfo and lose the majority of matches and go onto achieve massive losing streaks which isn't fun to play.
I dont get what I've done to deserve being matched over and over again into teams which suck (all my stats are good), but it means that the game is just frustrating.
I think matchmaking has ruined this game for me. I'd rather play against completely random players from all skill levels (LIKE NEARLY EVERY OTHER FPS), that's what makes fun gameplay.
Also it's become obvious that the game is so formulaic that it's practically 50/50 which team wins.
I think id rather just flip a coin against a wall at this point. RIP.
Play comp properly by playing it like CS:GO MM; by having fun every game. May require finding the act of sending of sending a slav teammate into a full-on stereotypical breakdown absolutely hilarious.
Just fucking around on games you don't deserve to win (even if you probably had a 20% chance of winning anyways) will usually improve your overall winrate since you won't enter the next (hopefully non-garbage) game on full tilt. It does mean being a bit of an ass though.
Mccree is easy to use once you get the hang of how the revolver works. Even easier when you get used to the flashbang's range. I certainly feel more confident of my aim with him more then I do with Widow.

This is a great way to ruin the game for five other people for your own benefit.

It's insanely rude, so you obviously shouldn't do that and have some respect instead if you have any teammate that you suspect is human. Also never while soloq'd, because then it's just dumb.
Sadly the tilt part is definitely true though, and before you consider me too much of an asshole, just remember that "not deserving to win" doesn't equate to actively losing, it means those games where you have a polish ana screaming "soldier pls switch" over voice while missing a guy standing still 5 times in a row, and the soldier is carrying everyone.

"but my fun is more important than their fun!"
You can always fall back on just turning off voice/chat and just playing on autopilot if you can do that semi-decently. Just as long as you don't have to think about the game.
Games were ruined with competitive and MMR. Everyone burns out, cries, pours salt from all pores and it's too sad too watch.
I've learned to do comp at 11pm (that's when all the decent people are on)
I should probably clarify, if you just sit in spawn all game "because team is shit", then you're just acting like the stereotypical eastern european and have noone to blame but yourself for losing and getting an MMR hit. However, I personally have a hard time blaming myself for a loss if I'm playing perfectly fine myself even if I was entirely responsible for causing someone to just fall apart, scream into their mic for a solid minute and then leave.
Also, it's not greifing if someone outside wouldn't find it funny, in that case you're just being intentionally shit. I personally have some standards and wouldn't do either in a team game unless it was entirely preventable; someone being bad doesn't count, they're not responsible for the matchmaking, but if you start shittalking your teammates in voice chat you just don't deserve to have them.
Sorry to the 0-2 other people in the game that didn't do anything but have to put up with all that though.

I had someone who was playing Ana refused to heal because our team comp in quickplay "isnt good enough". He spent the rest of the match complaining and sitting in spawn and pretty much everyone on my team was just like "dude chill out"

Especially since it's QP, just start treating them like a DPS and get 2 other people to heal. Then make them feel insecure about their own performance and you've either got a workable DPS Ana that shuts up or some incoming quality comedy. For reference, insulting someone will never work for that just piss them off instead, but non-arguable facts about the whole game (i.e "we're not doing enough damage") or well-framed actual constructive criticism (not passive-aggressive shit) can send shit off the rails if you play it right.
Idea for Mercy: what if she passively generated an AOE field that caused teammates to take reduced damage? That way, everyone would WANT to stick close to her, so she has less chance of getting picked off by a Tracer or Genji.
It would also allow her to be more viable in frontline charges, rather than "latch onto a Pharah, go for a ride and pray they can't aim".
I think a good Mercy buff would be huge lettering that appears on each of your teammate's screens that says "YOUR MERCY IS BEING ATTACKED PROTECT HER"
I keep getting legendary backstair skins for mei. I don't even play her :(.
So I play a competitive game
There are 2 healers, one tank (D.Va) , so I choose to be second tank, pig roadhog ( I realize that neither hog nor D.Va are really "main tanks" but I've not been doing great with Rein or Zarya lately).
Team requests a Rein, so I switch to Rein. They tell me if I wanna do hog it's ok, but I stick to Rein
I'm not doing terribly well with Rein
After my Ult use I switch to Hog
Do a little better
We lose the round 91 to 100 on KOTH
"Road you're doing nothing"
"Where's my rein"
so I respond
"Right here :)"
And leave
I get this is a rather dickish thing to do, and I never did as a teen, but as a working adult it's pretty refreshing to be able to say, "you know, I don't need to deal with this person." It's not something I can really do in my day-to-day, and it relieves a little stress.

TF2 had that really nifty feature where teammates who were injured would automatically call out for a Medic.
Honestly, I feel Overwatch would really benefit from something like that (only make it mandatory that all healers and supports automatically call for help).
And not just a voiceline that is dead silent during a chaotic push, give us a bump in the text chat and a little flashing indicator.
Honestly, one of my real pet peeves with the design of this game is how the sounds can sometimes bury each other. You don't get a good sense of where anything is coming from and I can't even count the number of times I've gotten killed because I was defending a push at the front lines, only for a Lucio or something to sneak behind me, stand perfectly still, and plink me to death without me even knowing I'm taking damage.
I'd kill for a damage indicator that shows WHERE you're taking damage from; if I'm charging a point, my screen going a bit red isn't gonna phase me. But I need to know if there's someone behind me about to get a free kill. The way distance affects sound really needs a rework if you ask me.
So far I've gotten everything I didn't want in the lootbox. I just want Palanquin, Luna, Dud?, So Excited, Fortune, and Feast and I'm not getting any of it. This is really getting irritating.
anyone else have this thing with CTF where, no matter what, there has to be one game inbetween actual games that start where it matches 11 people/a good amount of people into the game, has you wait for a minute, and just boots everybody out? its getting kinda stupid having to deal with this 50 times a night
I love how I get penalized for someone quitting the game. It's a fantastic method of rewarding players for their skill in a game.
What can be done about leavers though? You obviously can't put in AI because they'll feed the enemy ults and you can't force new players in because that would be stupid. If you make it so you don't lose any rank you would be able to just group up with others and have some guy quit so you maintain your rank. I can't see any workarounds for it, people are just shitty.

It's also way more fun to have actual matches than aimless quick play clusterfucks

Close enough.
Now I just need to find the Dud? emote and I'll be done with the event

Fix the login servers so you can actually rejoin the game within the time limit / rejoin at all, since the button doesn't even work half the time.
