Metro Series Megathread - "The Dark Ones will kill us all." - Games

I'm doing a 2nd run of LL redux to play on Spartan Normal mode after my first run was a Suvival Rangerhardcore and noticed that in my Suvival Rangerhard mode in the Prisonbreak level, in the room where you release the prisoners the weapons I had before the capture was up on the racks but didn't take them because it felt like I was cheating since it was a decked out AK and the 20 round auto shotty. But now on my Spartan Normal run my weapons are nowhere to be seen, I'm confused.

It was the slightest bit immersion-breaking when you come across them and you find out they share the same pitch & tone as everyone else in the metro..

In 2033 Redux has anyone found any LL weapons besides the Bi-Gun and Flamethrower? They promised all the guns but I can't find any. (Others have talked about this too) I assume they might be in hidden stashes?

Does anyone know when the update will hit Metro 2033 Redux? I really want to play it.

Hmm, I suspect the other weapons might be very well hidden, dependent on difficulty/gamemode and also perhaps NG+ (as strange as that sounds for a metro game). Its quite exciting really, all these new secrets to find.

Something weird just happened to me while fighting Big Momma in LL Redux, ye know how when the monster rams you and you go sliding across the room right? My char ended up sliding around at full speed infinitely

I don't like Hardcore mode when NOT on Ranger Mode, it's just shit, the enemy seem to be able to kill you really quickly but it takes too many bullets to kill them.

The only thing I disliked at times was the Last Light stealth system. The area on the surface where you have to go through the building with the nazi patrol was a nightmare if you tried to stealth it. The next patrol that was outside kept spotting me while I was inside the building, then everyone somehow knew where I was. The part where you stowaway under the carriage, the lighting changes fucked up the looks when you were underneath it, it looked better before.

Has anyone noticed that you can't seem to melee the juggernaught/bulldozer/heavy-tier armored dudes? If this was done for realism then what the fuck? Artyom can punch a guy straight through his K6 3 Altyn helmet with the visor down but not if he has more body armor?

I'm really disappointed they turned the 'ghosts' in 2033 Redux from flashlight-silhouettes into just weirdly-shaded NPCs you can see all the time :/

So you can put the dialogue back into Russian? Which setting is that? I only saw it for the subtitle language.

I've done it, my first two games on steam I've actually got 100 percent achievements for [img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/54785618/Random%20images/fafraisurkljsd.jpg[/img] Adding up all my playtime hours for the regular Metro games and Redux ones, I have a total of about 97 playtime hours in the Metro. ahhhhh They all great games, looking forward to the 3rd game
