I just realized how easy it is to run past mutants.. after getting the Rain Man Achievement in LL both original and Redux by literally just running past everyone I did this in the Library.. it's possible holy shit dat feel when you're going to get the raider achievement in 2033 Redux and realize you don't have a suppressed weapon so you toss a throwing knife into a dark blob in the distance and get him, Pavel didn't even get his 3rd word out yet to alert me of a enemy. From that achievement I learned that if you do take him out fast enough he won't get the chance to raise the barriers in the station that causes your trolley to crash into a slow crawl, killing him before he does raise it, you roll right into the station and see the Nazis just realizing a threat roll in and get off their asses around a campfire, that and your trolley fullspeed breezes through the station. fucking awesome
I know that 2033 got revamped but I didn't know it go as far as redoing Bourbon's bones too [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/568898774422670805/E61645580402BA9ECDA3FC4B463165FD9E954BA8/[/t] Bourbon your legs what the hell, that Vodka kicks everyones ass eh?
"Ayev gawt myoovez leik Jyagur"
I have a feeling I should have played the original 2033 before the redux one as backwards as it sounds. I can't see the difference at all so it makes it hard to appreciate the work that was put in it
I noticed a funny bug in dead city where the sound for this one lamp was reversed so you would be blowing on it to light it and lighting it to put it out
Anyone else notice Regina's blueprints in Andrew's room during the Redux?
It would be nice if they re-did the ending cutscene for 2033 Redux because it looks out of place. Still, all the effort they've put into it is amazing
The journal lets you see the inventory...
It does? Oh wow I feel like the biggest fucking retard now.
I swear when I'm standing in front of somebody and I try to punch them, it doesn't even work 50% of the time. It just seems to do it whenever it feels like it.
I absolutely love being able to do non-lethal takedowns in 2033 now, as well as having improved stealth. I always try to play in pacifist mode and preserve whatever precious live is still around, unless I need to safe myself or others from acute danger. Cold blooded murderers who would further decimate the metro population also get the knife. So I basically leave half the human population with severe long-term consequences like disability, coma or death from heavy blows to the skull that leave them out cold for fucking hours. Like that would ever be 'non-lethal'

A great example would be the Arkham (and movie) version of Batman.
Why didn't they remove the goddamn shortcut to change ammo type? It's so frustrating to find out that you've been shooting your money away, only because you held reload for .1 second longer than a normal tap, what the shit? If I wanted to switch ammo, surely I would be able to just open the weapon inventory and press R there?
Really enjoying this, nice atmosphere. Probably the first game I've found stealthing to be a challenge as I'm usually good at it, although not really had more than one opportunity to judge yet.

I've found it particularly easy to stealth even on the hardest difficulty while playing Last Light. I've managed to hoard a shitton of bullets, I agree that stealth is definitely easier than running and gunning.

So I finished Metro 2033 for the third time, on the hardest difficulty. It was fun! Putting this image that I'm posting now along with the one I posted earlier, you can get most of the game. But you do not experience it at all. It's a great game to play, as many of you are finding out. Sorry, it's HUGE
pretty sure last light had broken glass
so did 2033
How does one get past this? [T]https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/t31.0-8/10348843_662115937218005_3088576695105100902_o.jpg[/T] I'm supposed to find parts from bodies of a crew, but the endless respawn of enemies is really annoying me and I can't focus :v: [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Nevermind this helped me:
Also what's with Artyom's Voice change between 2033 and Last Light, I don't think a year could really change your voice that quick
They made it so military grade rounds set things on fire now, how do you not notice this?
I notice it pretty quickly, but I do still fire a few rounds, any way, it's not so much the loss of ammo, more the fact that I was accidentally switching ammo type during challenges, which would cause me to do the reload animation 1 extra time while I didn't really mean to.. This then leads to even less time to beat the challenge, which is not always that critical, but in some of the challenges, even with 3 guns, I'd have trouble catching up to that lost time. So it's not so much because I don't notice, the gun sounds a lot louder (didn't notice the fire). It's just a major annoyance when during challenges, during normal gameplay it doesn't matter all that much, I've been stealthing the whole time, which means that I have plenty of time to switch ammo back to shit bullets when I notice the money bullet icon next to my ammunition.
Anyone know how to get the Steam overlay to work in 2033 Redux?
I'm getting pretty frustrated in the part after Defense. I camp a small area and wait for the Lurkers to come after me and easily take care of them. After waiting a while after killing what I thought is the last Lurker, I move on a little bit and a ton of them appear from nowhere and kill me before I can react. It's even more annoying with the child on my back because he just makes turning harder.
Also what's with Artyom's Voice change between 2033 and Last Light, I don't think a year could really change your voice that quick
I think it was simply having a new actor, (I don't know if it is a new one), or that they felt his acting direction before, wasn't realistic or what they envisioned, thus had him re-record his lines.
wow dude, those are some fucking excellent shots anything special you used to take them?
Actually, it's all in-game. In most shots when you see no weapon, is when I was switching between the two to give the illusion of .. There being no weapon. Either than that, just a resizing them(so it doesn't amount to 50mb), and a little sharpening.
