When does the event end anyway? I want D.va, Lucio and Sym's skins but only have enough to buy 2 of them right now.

Mystery Heroes can be a shitstorm if it gives you the right heroes. Ended up on Kings Row attack with 2 Mercys and a Reinhardt. Our other three were decent picks, and they often got healed or resurrected.
Using voice comm we were able to keep myself and the other Mercy alive, using Resurrect on the other if necessary. Rein would just tank attacks with both of us healing him when he needed barrier regen.
There was around 8 resurrects. I ended up dying during the finale, got Soldier and helped clear the final push.
A big game changer in Mystery Heroes is you lose your ult charge once you die and get rerolled. If you have two mercys on you spamming heals and resurrect, you end up getting shit like a 6 man graviton surge or a dragonblade to clear the way.
Another 4 gold match as Zarya and our Hanzo ults from spawn when I have Graviton... (That combo would have won us the whole match)
The trend continues.

My only reasoning for this is those two it seems like everyone sucks with. So everyone goes to QP to practice them.
I don't often play quick play. When I do I'm either warming up with my main or playing heroes I'm bad at like Widow, Hanzo and Genji.
Until I can figure out how best to use my favorite characters at a comp level, they're going to be QP only.
Sadly bird-bot is very, very niche in comp, so I'll need to get amazing at recon headshots if I want to keep up outside of those scenarios. He's a blast to play casually though, easily my top pick there. Shredding shields is just so satisfying.

The reverse for me
It used to be fun but then the competitive got stale and they introduced friendly fire, which ruined it for me because it no longer was a fast paced run and gun action shooter.
All this lootbox grinding is really starting to wear my down. And all I really have to show for it is 2 skins for characters I don't play and 3 dance emotes. I must be past box 30 by now.
I still don't have enough coins for one skin and I can't afford to pay for lootboxes. So I guess I am shit out of luck this event. I can tell you though I will take a long break from Overwatch after all this is over.

You can always avoid grinding and BUY 50 loot boxes at the low price of $39.99 and have a chance to get like the 25% of the event content*
*Amount of new items may vary, always get more loot boxes to maximize the amount of items you get from this event. Blizzard doesn't make responsible for using RNG on it's crates to try your luck and gamble your money.
Listen, every single tank, including Roadhog, 'counters' Roadhog by making him unable to get at the DPS; i.e the point of tanks. He's also basically a tank buster, so you need two to tango. In that regard he's actually pretty well designed, it's really mostly the shotgun that needs tweaking.
I think I might actually end up liking the PTR changes, it seems they might actually make a good hog even [i]more[/i] powerful than before, especially against other hogs (and 1v1 hog duels were already incredibly skill-dependent).
It pisses me off neither sombra's hack nor emp can cancel soldier's ult. It cancels pretty much every other channeled ult but his.

Somba's ult should be able to cancel it. If a sombra ends up hacking you while you have a 90 FOV auto aimbot active it deserves to be ended prematurely.
The moon map is really really disappointing.

Hog is actually largely the same if you play with your team (god forbid)
The only noticeable difference I see is Reaper and D.Va will destroy you in 1v1s.
Also your combo will most likely not even do anything significant if theres an enemy torb handing out armor.
No more One Man Army, universal answer to all problems, which I assume was the point of the nerfs.

Tactical Visor isn't a channel ult, it's a "transform" ult like Primal Rage and Molten Core, which are also not canceled by CC.
The only ults that are canceled by hack are: Death Blossom, Deadeye, Rocket Barrage, and Whole Hog. These are the actual "channeled" ults that are able to be interrupted by hack or any other hard CC (Flashbang, Hook, getting frozen, etc) Transcendence is the only exception do to Zen being invincible during it.
lol so i guess someone figured a way to still xp farm in custom games. game info said its been going on for 15 hours, mccree only and everyone rushes to point and just does fth which is set to just be infinite. after 10 minutes theres an auto restart i guess and you get the XP (i went from 12230 to 14699, not bad for doing nothing for 10 minutes)
I had a crazy streak of luck today, as I just got Hanzo's, Bastion's, and Lucio's legendaries all in a row, then the game had to remind me that my luck ran out by giving me a Bastion duplicate immediately afterwards.
Daymn. Gained +35SR as a healer last match. I dunno if it was because I was solo healing half of it but good to know I'm finally getting a good chunk for one of the most hated roles sub diamond.

Did you just finish placements? In my experience, your first few games after placements try to boost you up really fast. Seemingly to try to make up for placements stealing 200 fucking SR from me after going 5-5.
Did placements few days ago, but I only lost ~40SR from what my finish rank was last season.
