So if I got Oni Genji the first time around, do I need to do the first week of the Nexus Challenge again to move onto the next week?

Oni Genji is Quest 1. You need to complete Quest 1 before you can move onto Quest 2, which is the D.va skin.
You need to do Quest 1 regardless if you got Oni Genji before or not.

When quest 2 starts am I locked out of quest 1?

The quests last until the 22nd of May regardless of when they're unlocked based on time, you just still need to do them in order. If you wait until the 20th of May and haven't done any of the quests, you need to do Quest 1, then 2, then 3, before you get access to Quest 4.
So no, you can absolutely still do the Genji one after the Dva one is available.
What are quests no one mentioned quests all I saw was play 5 games

You get 4 quests in Heroes of the Storm. Quest 1 awards the Oni Genji stuff, Quest 2 awards the D.va skin, Quest 3 awards the D.va icon and spray, Quest 4 awards 10 Lootcrates. Each quest also gives stuff in HotS if that interests you.
Quests unlock every week. Quest 2 with the D.va skin will be available in ~2 days. To get Quest 2 after that point in time, you just need to already have completed Quest 1. Likewise 3 requires that you must have cleared Quest 1+2. Etc.
All Quests require that you play 5 games with a friend on your team. Must be Quickplay, Ranked or Unranked. The only exception is that Quest 1 can be done vs Bots as well, but you still need a friend on your team.
So I went to comicon today, and except for a few shirts and figures, most Overwatch merchandise was posters of the female characters' asses.
Truly amazing.
are people actually upset that dva has a police themed skin

It's not even that, most of tumblr doesn't care. People like to cherry pick dumb people and make them out to be the majority when really nobody gives a shit.

Especially if the other Reinhardt is a cool person and after charging into each other you both say Hello.
I love the genjis who refuse to switch despite getting roasted on by a Winston each and every time

As a Winston main this always pleases me.
15 loss streak in ranked so far. I'm convinced I'm cursed, no matter the role I play.

I was 14 SR off Plat at one point this season after placing in the 2000s. Then it all went to shit, my rage was unpalatable.
Now I'm in the late 2100s, but you know what? After accepting my fate, accepting my losing streaks and accepting the fact I won't escape gold hell this season and that I'm only playing ranked for CP, I've been enjoying Competitive so much more. I still play to win and I work with my team still, but losing no longer makes me mad and it's great. Never has knowing I'm actually shit brought me this much peace before.
I've decided even though I'm not as skilled on other DPS characters as I am on Ana, I'm gonna play DPS and just get better.
Tired of being a support main and getting shit on if I do poorly, but no credit if I do well. Can't carry either.

I just played a round of Uprising with a Genji who died before the first node

this is why I don't play comp anymore. I don't need a silly icon or number to prove my skill level.
Blizz needs an option to keep career profiles private for this very reason. The amount of times I see someone check someone's career profile to find their rank and to judge them based on it is absurd.

That's how you get tinnitus

I don't really care about my rank, but I play comp because I want to play full matches where people actually try to complete the objective and don't leave in the middle of a match.
Alright, the Uprising event is officially over for me.
Althought the PvE mode was fun and interesting and the new cosmetics neat, I think this was my most hated Overwatch event since the game's launch, the reason being I managed to get only the cosmetics I didn't want to miss period by literally the skin of my teeth.
I used my Easter holyday to grind something like "only" three or four boxes a day, not counting the 15 bucks I also threw at the game and it was still rather jarring to being fucked over by the RNG again and again, with all the extra stuff I'd had liked now lost forever

I really do believe they fucked with drop rates for this event. And this one specifically the most because they knew people wanted lore skins.
Like with past events if you got a legendary it was almost guaranteed it would be an event skin. But this event it seems like you have a greater chance of getting a non-event legendary instead and an even greater chance of it being a duplicate of a non-event or event legendary. They even padded the items list with more voice lines then normal to make it less likely the legendary is going to be the event item.
Yea, I'm done with Overwatch for a long while now. Add another five games to the loss streak, with nothing but toxic players.
I actually got to the point where I left voice, and blocked the guy.
Don't play comp on weekends. You do that, and you won't have such a hideous losing streak.
