I don't keep myself informed on the most recent changes going on in the PTR, but a member of my usual posse said they intend to change Reaper so that he won't need to go around collecting souls in order to heal, but he'll be healed for a certain amount every time he'll damage sone with a hit.
Is this true? Because, as much as Reaper is my favorite hero, this change wouldn't make any fucking sense whatsoever.
It's a life-steal, yeah. It absorbs 20% of damage done and gives it to Reaper, making him actually decent at tank-busting while being a slight nerf against squishier characters. Personally I think it makes a lot of sense, and is pretty thematic.

Pretend you're a Darkwraith and you're using the Dark Hand. :v:
I love winning a comp match and then the group that's on your side says that the rest of their team was mediocre :|
It was supposed to address the issue that Reaper had a lot of trouble surviving in situations he was meant to thrive in (i.e. solo flanking and killing tanks). If he can't heal, then he can't kill, and if he can't kill, then he can't heal.
That Reaper needed more survivability, given his role as a tanks counter, I knew for a very long time, but you can't give him that much survivability.
I swear, Overwatch developers are like children baking a cake for the very first time and ending up with a charred mess 'cause they can't get the various measures of the recipe right for shit
That warm feeling when you snipe pharah with sleeping dart and watch her fall into the well/out of map.

"Hey supports, may I interest you into some ... Death Blossoms?"
I always thought reaper was more of a cleanup DPS character and less off a balls deep tankbuster
Due to the nature of shotguns a large and slow target is ideal, and his teleport helps get behind ones like Orisa and Reinhardt

He mops the floor with tanks in damage better/quicker than any other hero. If the cinematic trailers were accurate to gameplay Winston would be heckin dead
If you complain about smurfing in an online shooter you probably just aren't that good at the game and finding things to complain about. How do you know he didn't come from Xbox? PS4? Maybe he's just good at FPS's?? I have been called a smurf so many times that it's really impossible for me to count and its simply because I'm good at video games...
Nice humble brag there buddy, really smoothed out your argument that "no, you're just bad ok kid".

I'm more on the issue that, because of this change, Reaper becomes less team-oriented, since souls are dropped when absolutely anyone on the enemy team dies. It's been incredibly useful to come across a fresh soul after a rough engagement.
Sure, if you're doing damage, Reaper is okay, but if you aren't getting useful kills, learn the hero and try again.
Reaper's been in shit tier for quite a while now so I'm just glad they're doing something
Reaper's been in shit tier for quite a while now so I'm just glad they're doing something
Reaper's been in a good place in a long time, he's just been outshined by 76, as he's been better in a lot of situations. But with the increasingly larger amount of barriers and Winstons in the game, Reaper's going to see more use.
Winston needs more fucking damage, he can't kill shit without a Zenyatta, and god forbid the enemy team has a healer which out heals his own fucking DPS.
Winston needs more fucking damage, he can't kill shit without a Zenyatta, and god forbid the enemy team has a healer which out heals his own fucking DPS.
Not only is Winston a massive distraction that can be very hard to kill, the damage he does is constant, and branches out to everyone in front of him, which also prevents their shield from regen/Mercy passive from healing them. If you can alienate their healing while also hurting the targets that's not being healed, you're doing an excellent job, and your team will have a much easier time picking off targets. Also try landing on people with your Jump Pack while also doing a melee hit, you'll do a lot of damage in one go, and hit everyone in that small area.
Honestly if you want Winston to do more damage you've clearly never seen what a good Winston or dive comp in general can do.
I just want dive meta to die so hard it won't be viable for a long time.
Really miss the good old days of McDiscord and Beyblade.
If this double XP weekend has taught me anything, its that I really don't give too much shits about this game anymore. It's starting to lose its charm.
Woke up and decided to do a random QP round with Roadhog. Went 16-1 with a 100% hook accuracy.

I feel kinda happy with that :v:.
Mystery Heroes apparently hates me. One match gives the enemy two D.Vas, two Mercies, an Ana, and something else useful, while my team got garbage. Next match gives the enemy two Torbjorns, a Bastion, an Ana, a Zenyatta, and something else. Once again, we got garbage. I know it's complete RNG, but I really wish it wouldn't keep handing wins over to the enemy while they put in no effort.
It's a shame that Mystery Heroes is still the least awful Arcade mode.

I can say it will be hard to go back to normal xp. Getting 4000 exp for a bot match is way to good to give up willingly.

Had a 25 minute match on total mayhem and I didn't even level up (got close though)
Robbed!
If there IS something that needs to changed is the win lootbox in arcade and becomes " play a certain amount of games" similar to hots.
Less stress, less rng, less toxicity too.

So the only reason I'm complaining about smurfing is because I'm bad? That's a laughable excuse for it at best.
Smurfing is a shitty thing to do since there is no reason for more than 1 account. The only excuse for a smurf account, which is still pretty shitty to do, is when you want to play competitive with friends but their rank is lower than yours, so you make a smurf account with a purposely low rank to play with them and to pretty much boost them.
You're ruining other people's experience of the game by being somewhere where you shouldn't be. Is it fair to pit a gold player versus a grandmaster player, who is disguised as a gold player?
Sure, you can learn from playing against better players, but there's a point where no matter how much you try, learn and adapt, you're just gonna get shit on no matter what. Maybe if the disparity between rank was less and they were a close rank that'd be possible, but when the disparity is high, the smurf is just ruining games for the people he's playing against.
I can admit, the probability of that person mentioned being a smurf isn't 100%. That one Lucio player (I think it's DSPStanky?) who played mostly on console and then went onto PC and pretty much headed straight to Grandmaster rank proves it otherwise since skill can somewhat transfer from console to PC in some cases. But a clear sign that somebody is a smurf is when they're pretty much only playing one, high skill cap character, especially Genji.

Unrelated, but has anyone else had to bind their "I need healing" to E instead of X because of TF2? That was the first keybind I changed, and X is now used for one of my abilities.

Whoops, I apologize.
