It'd be dumb if they didn't. I think they've reached the point where they would have an event set up for every 2 months now.

I don't know what universe you're from where posting on the internet is equivalent to operating heavy machinery in public.
And yeah summer games are being used again I'm pretty sure I recall Jeff saying there won't be many new original events.

They don't ban for it anyway. I've been using macros in overwatch since the beta, and in WoW for years. Nothing happens.

Very different thing for WoW than it is for Overwatch.
I feel like any time a macro gives any substantial/unfair advantage, somebody has failed in implementing the input method. If binding zen orb to M1 gives a legitimate advantage for example, there should be an option to enable a similar function in game, like holding E to automatically discord anybody you click on. Otherwise some people can get an advantage because they have different hardware, and blizzard doesn't seem able to enforce their own rules on it.

It initially does like your first time around, but it also considers your previous ranking of the last season this way master's don't just throw and get placed in bronze, or bronze players getting carried to masters.
It places you around your last ranking.
From what I've heard it compares your performance on heroes you played to averages for that hero. So for example if you play all healers you don't get screwed for having very few kills.

If you climb enough this season you wont be silver next season
Also IIRC placing with a friend can mess with your results because it's comparing not just your performance to other solos, but your group's performance to other groups, and taking that into account when ranking you.
So, you might be an amazing Lucio, but if your whole group isn't perfectly coordinated and working around you, you might notice you rank lower as a result, because many other similarly sized groups performed better than yours.
So any thoughts on the 6v6 lockout? Feels weird since i'm too used with 3v3.
I luckily manage to win at first but i've only played healers (Zen, Lucio then Ana).
A bit satisfied since my team really didn't want to go double healer and seeing almost all heroes in a single match is also weird (barely see Orisa for example)
Orisa is actually really good in 3v3 if used right. Halt helps to expose or shut down players who are trying to stall or camp out of sight, especially on Antarctica.
I've had so many cases of a Hanzo, Widow or Junkrat constantly abusing the upper ledges as both a vantage point and as cover, where I was able to simply pull them down over and over so my teammates could pounce them.

Orisa/Tracer or Orisa/Reaper in particular work well as anti-cheese combos
Placements lower your rank deliberately, that's the whole point. But you come out of them with a very high MMR. So if you place 250 SR below your season final, the game expects you to win those games, because they're easier -- so you'll see massive SR gains and minimal SR losses for a good number of games unless you start losing a ton. And if you're losing a ton, that's probably the rank where you belong.

it all depends on how you perform, it's all about improving.
if you say you've improved, then if you keep playing, it should show and you should be able to climb easily.
Getting put lower also means you're more likely to win, and more likely to earn comp currency as a result
IE, getting golds should be a bit faster now for most people at higher skill levels

Why is Genji the only character I both can't play worth shit and can't fight worth shit either
I've sporadically done SOME stuff right with him in mystery heroes, but I just find it incredibly hard to get a grasp on how you're supposed to handle him, and he's a huge pain to fight as the characters I like

His movement is one thing, but it feels like in combat, his required APM is ridiculously high compared to what I'm used to.

Not only do you have to be able to aim well, but you need to have really good spatial sense as you're jumping around like some sort of acrobat on meth
