While I really appreciate the bonus XP thing they did, now trying to level up feels like even more of a slog than it did before

We already have like 4 of those.
I'd like a hero that has a passive that captures points faster or pushes the payload faster. Essentially like the scout from tf2.

Genji, Hanzo, Widowmaker, aaand... attack Torbjorn?

Mercy ez life. I only started playing ranked at the end of season 4
The next character will be someone you're not allowed to shoot
Real talk, I dunno how they could make a new healer at this point. They already have a tether, AoE, asynchronous and projectile healer, so what's left?
Only thing I can think of is a character who can literally just pick up health packs while they're at full HP, and then drop them on teammates later.
Construct healing stations, healing AoE not centered on player (as a cast area or projectile), healing based on interacting with the enemy (gives allies vampirism for example), chain healing, damage reduction tied with healing, global heals, healers who have more focus on purges along with healing.
If you get creative there's a million ways to do anything. The hard part is making them fun and balanced.
When the hell did this "Mercy = GM key" meme start? Mercys and other healers still get less SR overall right?
I guess people got tired of seeing Mercy mains in Diamond and above and just assumed it was easy for Mercy players to get there.
I still don't understand why Mercy mains are as hated as Genji and Hanzo mains.
Yeah I've wanted a "dispenser" of sorts so a torb style healer would be nice

Because Mercy supposedly requires less skill to play compared to other heroes, therefore it's the go-to pick for easy wins.
Here's the thing though, I'm a de-facto Mercy main therefore according to this line of thought, nobody else wants the easy wins. So I really don't get it.

Being able to temporarily turn a tank like Rein into a moving AoE healer by sticking something to him would be cool too. Would go a long way towards making some strategies other than dive viable again.
I want more ways to hurt Genji as a low skill person. Winston is great, but more options would be nice. Torbjorn and Symmetra just don't cut it on most maps.

Mercy is easy to play at a basic level but when you get into higher ranking games, positioning, pistolero and your fly are key. I'm so much better overall now after going from 2400 to 3540 and if I'm playing well I'm impossible to hit.

I think a hero that has an ability that emits an AoE burst of damage in a sphere around them would fit that description.
Not enough to kill a Genji or Tracer, but enough to force them to play carefully around you, because you can damage them without even facing their direction.

Become a high-skill player.
Mcree's decent at dealing with Genji especially at midrange. Winston can sort of chase Genji, but he's better for area denial since wall climb is free and dash cools down faster than pounce. The burst damage from Mcree is really good once you bait out reflect, and you can flashbang him through reflect if he gets close.
I wouldn't mind a healer that can drop health kits like Torb armor or to create new health spawns that only friendlies can use. Good counter would be sombra

Soldier: "What're YOU lookin' at?"

Right in front of me in the attacker spawn as we were waiting
I love it when stuff like this randomly happens

Wow, I recognize fuck all for Team USA

here are the most popular mains of season 4

it's interesting how you can see the heroes that require aim to rise up and spammy heroes like d.va go down
I find it weirder that you think a lot of those heroes actually require aim.

i was referring to the ana, you see a nice linear progression with her
What is it about this game that brings out the worst in people? I tend to turn chat off because I don't need to be bullied and insulted when I'm just trying to have fun, but sometimes I forget to do so. These people are just so...miserable that it really brings me down.

Unfortunately that tends to happen in games where winning requires a team effort. If people harass you I'd recommend at least reporting them before you hide the chat.

The rise in popularity of Zarya and Hog in that chart would explain Dva's fall. Same goes for Reinhardt vs Hog.
Not sure if it counts as a good representation for the entire season, but it's fun to see trends like increased Genji picks to try and deal with the supports.
Ew, Mercy.
Well then. I never would have thought of an Ana pocketing Bastion, but that's the idea a random had once they saw me pick him, rather than going Rein or Orisa to synergize with him on Gibraltar offense.
Then I got nano'd while I was a turret as we were trying to push to point two. Long story short, I no longer question their decision. That must've been [I]terrifying.

Only managed to kill their Roadhog and Rein before the rest got the fuck out. They just kinda... Let us take that checkpoint, after seeing two tanks drop in two seconds.
