The game simultaneously tries to have a competitive flair and appeal to the common denominator by giving characters simple, easy to execute options to get around that aiming and ammo rationing are usually meant to be two of the most important skills in FPS (aiming still is somewhat in Overwatch, but it's obviously massively toned down by virtue of stuns, slowdown and infinite ammo), so you get toxic players who normally would have been put down a peg by more unforgiving design basically feeling enabled. It also doesn't help that the game has always had a relatively terrible sense of balance (although that seems to have improved recently) so it can be infuriating to people that it feels often like your character choices matter more than your ability as a player, especially if they prefer a middle or lower tier. Then of course, if they pick that middle or lower tier, other players throw a hissy fit because they feel that they're getting the match thrown for them by the very same imbalance.

I still do like the idea of a shooter like this using reloading, but not ammo pools. Mostly because ammo recovery in similar games like TF2 can be VERY inconsistent; a gun bouncing the wrong way at a key moment can basically kill you. Infinite ammo is a double-edged sword, and despite nicking their own fingers a time or two on the finer edge of it, they've handled it better than I would've guessed. [editline]16th June 2017[/editline] The first thing I said aloud when someone told me Overwatch has infinite ammo was "Why would you ever stop shooting, then?" Then I learned that doing so is not only pointless, but with some characters, it's entirely counter-productive or even self-harming to their role. That's not what I expected, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I think another reason they gave everyone infinite ammo is because then otherwise you'd have to have a hero who's job it is to resupply and they would be absolutely mandatory in every match.

I would adore if Blizzard added an option so Lucio's tracks play constantly instead of fading out after 2s.

So, I have well over 1k knocking around after getting absurdly (un?)lucky with my last five anniversary lootboxes, winding up with four event skin dupes and a gold chest. I already have skins I like for the characters I play most, but there are a few that I want to really try to getting better at, and I'm thinking getting a legendary skin for a particular one would really help me commit to them. So, that said, do you guys think I should get... Come to think of it I can't think of any map I really get excited to play on. They're all kind of dull to me.

Its a weird complaint but the Djinn skins for zenyatta have weirdly low resolution textures compared to his other skins and it bothers me.
