Everyone knows that only thing Soldier: 76 eats and offers to everyone are Military rations. After all he does arrange them neatly and say "NICE!" after doing so.

And if they're expired or smell horribly, he exclaims it out loud and eats it anyway
I find this highly ironic because most S76 players I meet have never heard of the concept of using Biotic Field for their team.

"This is THE best Biotic field I've ever had"
I always feel really, really bad for the players I end up killing as Mei
There was an Orisa last game, poor thing, tried basically everything in their arsenal to keep me away from them, but always wound up frozen in the end, no matter where they decided to flank from
What the fuck is up with the game kicking you out after a few seconds idle in Training Mode? I go away for 2 seconds on the character select screen and it booted me out back to the menu
Has anyone else experienced really bizarre latency when swinging Rein's hammer? I'm getting hit confirms almost half a second late sometimes.

Gotta make sure they're really dead

Yeah, they broke it with the anniversary update I think so now the hits register after the swing animation finishes.
They did confirm that Reinhardt's hammer will be fixed during the Tuesday update, at least.
I started playing loads of mercy because I figured.. getting a shit ton of heals can't be that hard.. it fucking isn't. Every time I have her swiped away from me I want to die if the person who took her isn't using the ult as often as possible and effectively as possible.
Reddit res POTG tier I gotta wait for everyone to be dead before using it!!! Tier resurrections are for the very last push/point or if your team is retarded then you can be a little more conservative with those resurrections.
fucking kill me I went down a horrible rabbit hole
9/10 times Mercy one tricks have no idea what they're doing
Dont worry, if you play mercy as if you have a brain stem you get handed 30-40 SR per win, it's insulting.

But what if you're absolute dogshit with widow's sniper? Like probably below 1000 sr. I'd have to play assault rifle widow to hit anything and the only way to improve my sniper aim would messing around with mouse sensitivity, which would ruin my aim with every other hero.
Edit: And I'd have to unlearn counting the projectile flight time, all that for learning to be mediocre on character I hate playing.
From recent experience, biggest tip I can give anyone wanting to get better at hitscan characters:
- Buy a high DPI mouse
- Buy and set up a large mouse mat
- Set sensitivity rather low, though still enough to turn 180 degrees when going from one side to the other of the mat
- Totally disable mouse acceleration of all forms
It might seem strange and sluggish if you're used to moving the mouse maybe six inches at most, but once you adjust, you'll have not only the same level of control you did before, but an immense increase in fine precision. The only thing that will change is you'll be moving the mouse a lot further a lot faster.
This is coming from someone who thought they were terrible at hitscan tracking, but it turns out that small, high-sensitivity motions aren't conducive to them. I wasn't as bad as I thought.

Practice heatshotting the moving dummy bots in the training range while you yourself are moving. Sounds simple, but this is one of the better ways to practice Widow aim at a very basic level.
Stand as far away as you can while still being able to see most of them, and try to get a double.

Just want to point out that high DPI on a mouse is completely unnecessary -- at 1080p, anything above about ~181 DPI (I don't remember the exact number) is unnoticeable. Much better to get a good mouse with a good sensor -- no negative acceleration, no regular acceleration, no angle snapping, no gimmicks. Look into Zowie mice, or (new) Logitech mice (G403, G502)... Beyond that, yes, definitely get a large mousepad and lower your sensitivity. Steelseries QCK Heavy is an absolutely amazing mousepad, about 18x16 inches, tracks flawlessly with all optical mice, and doesn't fray. If you have a bigger setup and you're willing to go bigger with your pad, I recommend Perixx because they don't fray like most other huge mats do. ngl, it physically hurts getting used to a Perixx and wearing it in because they stitch the edges and your forearm will be a little red but it only takes a day or two to get past that.
or (new) Logitech mice (G403, G502)...
I dragged my feet for years when it came to buying a nice mouse, had always used really basic, non-gaming ones. If they had a forward and back button I was happy. But about a month ago I got a G502 and it's made a huge difference. More than I expected. I'm still not an amazing shot when it comes to Widow or Mcree but I feel a lot more confident when I play them in mystery heroes. Whereas before they always felt like a wasted life where I'd accomplish nothing. And being able to aim better improves the experience on every hero, not just hitscan chars. Now if only there was a way to purchase better teammates...
Is this season of competitive really as bad as people are making it out to be in terms of trolls, griefers, throwers, etc? I don't venture into comp much and was thinking about it again. But seeing posts on the subreddit has me thinking otherwise.

While this was actually useful and a good post, you kind of missed my main point: I have no intention to learn playing Widowmaker ever. There are 23 heroes that don't make want to uninstall the game so might as well play anyone else. Whenever I get Widowmaker in mystery heroes I just suicide to be somewhat useful to the team. If I want to play a defender shooter (which I don't), I'm already a 4/10 Hanzo (as opposed to my 1/10 widowmaker) and most importantky playing Hanzo is way more fun than widow to me. I really haven't played a lot of Hanzo but I've scored several headshot kills when I don't recall ever hitting any moving target as widow, let alone killing anyone. You mentioned shooting moving bots while moving yourself, but with my current setup I'd probably get frustrated at slowly headshotting still bots while staying still.
Despite my widow rant, the part about disabling mouse acceleration seems useful and I got to check it out.

worst i've personally experienced so far is a small handful of people who acted like big babies and raged in voice a bit when the match wasn't going well, not any actual griefers or throwers.
overall it's actually been a much nicer experience than playing QP.

For the sake of gaming, acceleration that your OS might be imposing on your mouse should be killed immediately, wherever you can find it. If you're using Windows, disable "Enhance pointer precision" for starters.
It's possible to get used to it with time, but doing so will offer you no benefit, and may actually harm your gameplay by causing you to frequently overshoot your targets, or worse, undershoot when trying to compensate for it.
Meanwhile, still not fixed:

I have a Logitech G500 mouse, but it's so damn old (owned it for 8 years) it's starting to lose its effectiveness. How much different is the 502 compared to the 500?
So did anyone else download the "future patch data" only for the game to effectively brick?
Because I was running beautifully before and now I'm getting 9 fps just on the main menu, not to mention the game locks up for half a second every 4 seconds.
I honestly have no idea what the hell happened, but I ran every defrag and system scan I have, in addition to the "scan and repair" option and just reinstalling the game, and nothing fixed it.
Any thoughts on what might have caused the issue? Because that "future patch data" is the only thing that changed on my computer.
Minor addition: My in-game temp reading is now hovering at 50 C, when it was around 60-65 C before, which sounds to me like my computer is refusing to put as much effort into running the game as before,
but I'm clueless as to what that implies.
Update: I updated my Nvidia drivers and everything seems to be fine now; I feel like an idiot.

I still have no idea how people can pull this off, whenever I try to do this the turrets selfdestruct as soon as they the ball gets close to the ground
