Reaper is much better at solo'ing tanks and using his ult now, and worse off at solo'ing squishies, dealing with weak enemies and performing in team fights. He also won't benefit from enemies killed by teammates where he wasn't involved. It's kind of a weird situation where you'll want your teammates to not enter fights with you.
...THIS is what the Golden Lootbox was for? What a complete letdown. Jesus christ.
Golden Lootbox could be obtained from something else in the future, who knows. It's not like the lootbox is written "Amazon Prime". I don't know what were you expecting, certainly not a new event since Blizzard said they won't add anything new
Good God that Roadhog nerf, as if nerfing his hook wasn't a bigger kick in the dick
Wow Winston can hardly do ANYTHING against Reaper anymore. As long as you're landing all your shots he can barely even damage you through the vampiric healing. He can also survive an additional Rein hammer swing under the same circumstances, so face-mashing Rein now puts even more pressure on him.
Not like Winston could do anything alone vs Reaper before.
Good God that Roadhog nerf, as if nerfing his hook wasn't a bigger kick in the dick
Where's my "heartbroken" rating
Good God that Roadhog nerf, as if nerfing his hook wasn't a bigger kick in the dick
Hog went from an overly fat DPS to actually being a tank. His ability to forcibly relocate targets is still very useful in teamfights, so hopefully now we'll see a greater emphasis on using that ability in service of his team, rather than in service of himself. [editline]20th June 2017[/editline] Hooking a key target into a choke and then Mei walling behind them is still VERY powerful in 2CP. Turning 6v6 encounters into 1v6 can really command the flow of those maps.
So I played HOTS for nothing. Good thing I liked it.
So I played HOTS for nothing. Good thing I liked it.
Other than enjoying it, spending 2 hours in HotS to get two cool guaranteed legendary skins wasn't all bad of an exchange. Beats dropping 1000 coins on each or praying for a random drop.
RIP Roadhog my main, I guess there's always Bastion and Junkrat
he can't "actually be a tank" considering he doesn't have a barrier. he's even more of an ult battery now.
Considering he's quite a bit harder to headshot from midrange as Tracer now, he's not as much of one as he used to be.
Considering he's quite a bit harder to headshot from midrange as Tracer now, he's not as much of one as he used to be.
uhhh the whole point of hog being an ult battery is because he can't stop shots from damaging him unlike the other tanks. it doesn't matter if his head hitbox became smaller, because he's still a fat fuck with no barrier.
Also do tanks inherently require damage nullification? I was under the impression that they're traditionally builds with an enormous health pool (or high defense, which is mechanically the same in most systems) who use it to draw aggro away from their allies. He effectively has almost a thousand HP (600 + 300 reserve), and certainly draws everyone's attention the moment he walks into frame.
Welp, they put in the Roadhog changes and he can still deal damage to the enemies. I can't believe this! :surrender:

However, Roadhog always rewards players that shoot him with Ult charge, whereas every single other Tank in the game has a barrier/bubble, and typically some armor. Orisa also has a damage reduction/anti-CC ability. You don't want Roadhog to block off the enemy team and soak damage, as that actively hinders your team further. He can do it, but it's typically a bad idea, especially since people will more actively try to shoot him than a Reinhardt with his shield up. He's more of a Defense/"bruiser" character than an actual tank. Zoning is his thing.
Creative way to fix that: Sharply reduce the amount of ult charge enemies get for damaging Hog. Add that as a passive and call it Intimidation or something. A 66% reduction in ult charge payout would make him worth about the same as a 200HP character, but it'd take a lot more work to get it. [editline]t[/editline] This sort of change might actually allow him to "fat-tank" without actively hindering his team in the process, and without harming his damage, his hook's usefulness, or any other facet of him.
I need to do this, happens to me all the time. Gonna try out the sniper button tonight though, never actually bothered using it [editline]20th June 2017[/editline] What DPI do you guys play on? I'm using 1600 and I have also turned off 'Enhance Pointer Precision' in the mouse settings
Don't change your DPI on the fly because is messes with your muscle memory. You'll be better off if you just set a low sensitivity and a high DPI.
Friday reveal is not going to be a D.Va short:
Probably the reveal of the new Summer Games event
Probably the reveal of the new Summer Games event
Oh boy, more bullshit complete RNG grinding for the one freaking cosmetic item I want out of many.
Making the latest one meta-relevant first would be nice Sombra is only just now finding a good niche, and Orisa is way behind the curve
I half expect the reveal to be more sprays that no one cares about.
It's gonna be lucioxdva sprays, lines and whatever

initial feelings on lunar colonoscopy: i dont like it. It's visually boring and just as snowbally as the other assault maps, if not more so.
initial feelings on lunar colonoscopy: i dont like it. This was my first time actually playing it and I was expecting more of it to take place outside. (I know it's on the damn moon, but still)
The ult battery argument sorta loses weight when he gains his own ult so fast just from self healing.
you mean the ult that can be completely shut down by any number of abilities? in comparison to tracer bomb instantly deleting 200 hp heroes? or sombra emp? or any other hero with a better ult?
EMP is crazy underrated, and it always infuriates me when people chide Sombra picks on 2CP. She's probably the strongest 2CP hero right now if used well. Even if she just hacks health packs around the point and gets a well-timed player hack occasionally, she's FAR better in that mode than most people assume.
you mean the ult that can be completely shut down by any number of abilities? in comparison to tracer bomb instantly deleting 200 hp heroes? or sombra emp? or any other hero with a better ult?
Never would have thought ults would have counterplay in this game wow.
Rein dies > feeds enemy team 500hp of ult. Hog dies > feeds enemy 600hp worth of ult (900 if the Hog isn't smart and tries to outheal a certain death). But with Hog not going on big flanks anymore, he shouldn't be taking as much damage -- he should be playing behind a Rein barrier where he'll be most effective now. So, he should be feeding less ult anyway. Also worth mentioning that he's not only an enemy ult battery, but also a friendly support ult battery. He's the beefiest tank, and yes he's the most exposed, so he gets an absolute shitton of heals that charge support ults extremely fast. e: I charge an entire ana nano in less than 30 seconds just with some sloppy chainheals on a Hog.
